Abstract

Water spinach (Ipomoea reptans Poir) is a short-term vegetable plant that can grow and develop in various environments. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the effect of tofu dregs solid waste on the growth of water spinach plants. The study was conducted in Kemiri, Jayapura Regency, for 1 month, namely, from October to November 2025. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 6 treatments of tofu dregs solid waste, namely, (A0) = control (A1) = 100 gr of tofu dregs solid waste (A2) = 150 gr of tofu dregs solid waste (A3) = 200 gr of tofu dregs solid waste (A4) = 250 gr of tofu dregs solid waste (A5) = 300 gr of tofu dregs solid waste, the treatment was repeated three times so that there were 18 experimental units. Each repeated treatment was planted with 5 polybags so that 90 polybags were obtained. Research Variables Plant height (Cm), Number of leaves, Root length Fresh weight. The data obtained from the research results were analyzed using a randomized block design following Petersen (1994). The results showed no significant effect on the variables of plant height, number of leaves, root length and fresh weight of plants. The A2 treatment given can increase the growth of the highest plant height compared to treatments A0, A1, A3, A4, and A5, while the A3 treatment can increase the number of leaves, root length, and fresh weight of plants but is not statistically significantly different.

Abstract

Research The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate fertilizer dosage and soil type to increase the growth and production of mustard greens. This study was conducted from October to November 2024. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 9 levels of fertilizer concentration. The research variables consisted of plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width and base weight. The results of the study showed significant differences in the plant height variable in the first week, second week, third week, fourth week, number of leaves in the first week, second week, third week, fourth week, leaf length in the fourth week, leaf width in the third week, fourth week and base weight variables. Of the 9 levels tested, the concentration with the highest results was the concentration of NPK fertilizer 300g + KNO3 300g + KCL 100g + Yahim Soil (C1).

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze internal and external factors and determine a strategy for developing beef cattle businesses in Sarmi District, Sarmi Regency, Papua Province. The method used in this research is the survey method. Data collection was carried out by observation and direct interviews with respondents. The selection of respondents was carried out purposively. Data were analyzed using Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE) and to obtain development strategies analyzed using SWOT. The research results showed that there were 3 strength factors, 3 weakness factors, 6 opportunity factors and 3 threat factors. The results of the research show that the strategy that can be applied in developing the beef cattle business in Sarmi District, Sarmi Regency, Papua Province is optimizing and developing the internal capabilities of breeders and utilizing available natural resources, providing mentoring and counseling programs accompanied by demonstrations so that they can increase the ability of breeders, establish business partnership with the government to take advantage of market opportunities, introduction of agricultural waste-based feed processing technology that is adapted to local regional conditions, collaboration with the local government to make livestock businesses more effective, provision of infrastructure to support livestock businesses.

Abstract

Parasit adalah hewan atau tumbuh-tumbuhan yang berada pada tubuh, insang, maupun lendir inangnya dan mengambil manfaat dari inang tersebut. Dengan kata lain parasit hidup dari pengorbanan inangnya. Parasit dapat berupa udang renik, protozoa, cacing, bakteri, virus, dan jamur. Manfaat yang diambil parasit terutama adalah zat makanan dari inangnya. Parasit merugikan inang tersebut karena mengambil nutrien dari inang yang dapat menyebabkan kematian. Serangan parasit membuat ikan kehilangan nafsu makan, kemudian perlahan-lahan lemas dan berujung kematian. Kerugian lain dapat berupa kerusakan organ yaitu kulit dan insang, pertumbuhan lambat dan penurunan nilai jual. Parasit ikan akan memilih lokasi penempelan sebaik mungkin ditubuh ikan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : 1) Untuk mengetahui jenis jenis ektoparasit yang menyerang ikan patin (Pagasius sp) pada kolam terpal di Unit Bembenihan Rakyat (UPR) Yosua di Hawai Distrik Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura; 2) Untuk mengetahui kondisi kualitas air pada saat penelitian. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan yaitu Bulan Maret sampai Bulan Mei 2025. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) “Yosua” di Hawai Distrik Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura. Selanjutnya sampel tersebut dibawa ke Laboratorium uji penyakit Ikan di Balai Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Jayapura di Sentani untuk dilakukan identifikasi ektoparasit yang menyerang ikan patin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Jenis ektoparasit yang menyerang Ikan Patin (Pagasus sp) adalah : Dactylogyrus sp ,Trichodina sp ; 2) Bagian tubuh yang terserang parasite adalah: insang, dan sirip ; 3) Parameter kualitas air antara lain: pH 7 dan suhu 29 ºC. Kualitas air di lokasi penelitian sangat baik dan berada pada kisaran kehidupan Ikan Patin (Dactylogyrus sp).

Abstract

Red kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is one of the food crops that requires both macro and micro nutrients to support growth and production. The availability of these nutrients can be fulfilled through the application of appropriate and balanced fertilizers. NPK and MKP fertilizers are inorganic fertilizers that supply nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). This study aimed to determine the effect of NPK and MKP fertilization on the production of red kidney bean plants. The method used was an experimental approach. The results showed that: (1) the application of NPK and MKP fertilizers had no significant effect on growth variables, but had significant and highly significant effects on yield variables; (2) the P3 fertilization dose (NPK 200 kg/ha and MKP 150 kg/ha) produced the highest number of pods, pod length, and pod dry weight.

Abstract

Ikan Louhan merah (Amphilophus labiatus) disebut juga dengan Red Devil alias Setan merah. Dan merupakan hewan karnivora./pemakan daging Biasanya ikan ini memakan telur ikan lain, serangga,cacing,udang dan ikan kecil. Ikan ini merupakan ikan territorial. Ia agresif dan tidak takut dengan ikan lain tapi red devil setia dengan pasangannya (anonymous,2020).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menganalisis komposisi pakan pada isi usus dan Lambung Ikan Louhan merah dan Menganalisis jenis makanan yang dimakan oleh Ikan Louhan merah . Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bulan Mei 2024 di perairan Pantai yahim Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura .Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sampling Analisa data yang dipakai adalah Index of Preponderance.yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis makanan apa saja yang dimakan oleh ikan Louhan serta makanan utama, pelengkap dan makanan tambahan atau makanan pengganti ikan..Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Isi lambung terdapat 5 jenis makanan antara lain Larva Udang,, larva cacing,telur ikan, Zooplankton dan Detritus. Berdasarkan analisa Index Preponderance (IP) maka dikatakan bahwa makanan utama adalah larva cacing, Larva Udang yang masing-maing IP nya 14,27 % dan 30 %. Sedangkan Telur Ikan adalah makanan Pelengkap dengan IP nya 4,83%
