Journal Socio Humanities Review is a peer-refereed open-access journal which has been established for the dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of social science. This journal is founded under the Lembaga Penelitian Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by a minimum of two International Reviewers through the double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal. The Journal Socio Humanities Review welcomes high-quality manuscripts resulted from a research project in the scope of social science, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: (1) Humanities, Social, Law, and Religious; (2) Social Science and Communication; (3) Accounting, Business and Management; and (4) Education. The manuscript must be original research, written in English, and not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Abstract

Giving a speech is a form of communication that is widely used for various purposes and can support a person's success.Through learning to give speeches, students are expected to be able to convey thoughts, ideas and thoughts to teachers, friends and other people. Speech activities can also foster feelings of self-confidence and courage to appear in public. Speech skills are skills that are difficult for students to master. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a learning model that can improve students' speech skills, one of the models that the author developed is the synectic model. The problems contained in this research are1) What is the design of the synectic model developed in speech learning for class XI students at the Ciwaringin Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency? 2) How effective is the synectic model in teaching speech for class XI students at the Ciwaringin Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency? 3) What is the profile of the oratory skills of class XI students at the Ciwaringin Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency? It is hoped that the results of this research can provide input for Indonesian language subjects, especially in learning speech. SampleIn this research there were 27 students in class XI of the Ciwaringin Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency. The data collection techniques used in this research are: (1) library techniques (2) test techniques: a. Initial test (pretest) b. Final test (post test). Based on the discussion of research results, data interpretation, and hypothesis testing, the following conclusions were obtained: (1) the ability of Class IX students at the Ciwaringin Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon Regency, in making speeches before learning using synectic development was relatively low. Based on calculations, the percentage only reached 61.9% or more than half did not have the ability to make a speech. (2) the ability of Class. Based on calculations, the percentage reached 72.6% or almost all of them had the ability to make speeches. (3) The use of the development of the synectic model in learning speeches in class Based on the results of product moment correlation test calculations, it is known that r = 0.884 or 88.4% and based on the interpretation table, it is considered a very strong correlation..Thus, it can be concluded that the development of the synectic model is able to improve students' speech skills.

Abstract

Financial time series is one of the most challenging applications of modern time series forecasting. Financial time series is closely related to noise (disturbance signals), non-stationary and deterministic chaotic. The characteristics indicate that no exhaustive information can be obtained from the past behavior of financial markets to capture the full dependency between future prices and that of the past. The purpose of this study is to determine the correct algorithm for Artificial Neural Networks, Multiple Regression Analysis and Support Vector Machines so that the highest accuracy value for prediction trend accuracy and the smallest value for Root Mean Square Error can be obtained. The research method used is 1. Neural network, 2. SVM, 3. Linear regression. From the data that has been tested using the Rapidminer tool with parameters that refer to several literatures [5], data collection is taken from the Stock Market Online Application "MetaTrader version 4" of the type "daily/Daily" with a time span of "03/09/2001 up to 25/07/2012", a total of 2052 data", with the attribute "Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume" with the Main attribute "Close" using the Support vector machine algorithm, artificial neural network and multiple linear regression, then the conclusion drawn is that the value close to the series value is the value tested on the support vector machine algorithm, with parameters For RMSE values close to the value "0" obtained from the measurement results in the SVM Algorithm on the RBF (radial basis function) kernel with a value "gamma" γ = 100 with RMSE = 0.000, and SE = 0.000. with prediction accuracy error = 0.976

Abstract

MOOCs play a vital role in enhancing teachers' professional development by offering ongoing online learning opportunities that provide reflection and empowerment. One such initiative provided by Kemdikbudristek to facilitate teacher professionalism is the "Merdeka Mengajar" Platform. This study aims to determine how MOOCs can enhance teacher professionalism. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with the involvement of 307 teachers teaching in the city of Palembang. A questionnaire consisting of 12 statements was used to gather teachers’ opinions on the "Merdeka Mengajar" platform released by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia, on the teacher learning and sharing platform, and on other MOOCs they have undertaken for their professional development. To see the relationship of MOOC-based learning with the improvement of teacher professionalism. The research results show a positive response from teachers towards the "Merdeka Mengajar" platform. This is evidenced by 75% of teachers stating that MOOCs provided by Kemdikbudristek have provided new knowledge about the rapidly advancing Science and Technology, increased digital literacy, and guided teachers in utilizing artificial intelligence in the development of teaching materials. The "Merdeka Mengajar" platform has positive implications for teacher professional competencies. Keywords: professionalism, teachers, "Merdeka Mengajar" platform, MOOC

Abstract

Learning that relies solely on textbooks often fails to capture students’ attention, leading to low engagement and suboptimal conceptual understanding. The use of flashcards as a learning medium for Science and Social Studies (IPAS) can be an effective solution, as they present information in a visual and concise manner, making it easier for students to grasp abstract concepts. Therefore, this study aims to develop flashcard-based learning media to improve students’ understanding of the concepts of climate and seasons. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate); however, it is limited to the analysis, design, and development stages. The study utilized validation sheets as instruments, and validation was conducted by media and subject matter experts to assess the appropriateness and suitability of the flashcards as a learning tool. The media was validated by two media experts and one subject matter expert. The validation results showed a feasibility level of 98% from media experts and 98.75% from the subject matter expert, both falling into the "highly appropriate" category. Suggestions for improvement included enlarging the font size, choosing a more engaging font type, and adding game instructions to facilitate usage. The findings indicate that flashcard media has significant potential to create more engaging and interactive learning experiences, and to help students understand concepts more deeply.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, independence, professionalism, skepticism, and professional ethics on auditor performance at the Ciayumajakuning Regional Inspectorate. Using a census method, the study involved the entire population of 159 auditors in the regions of Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, Kuningan, and Cirebon City. Data were obtained through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine both the simultaneous and partial effects of each independent variable on auditor performance. The results show that all five variables significantly affect auditor performance, with professionalism having the greatest influence, followed by competence, professional ethics, independence, and skepticism. The inclusion of skepticism and professional ethics distinguishes this study, expanding the understanding of relationships among variables in the context of public sector auditing. These findings provide practical implications for the Regional Inspectorate to improve audit quality through continuous training, integrity building, and code of ethics reinforcement, and for local governments in formulating strategic policies and providing competent, professional, high-integrity human resources.
