Abstract

Provision of teaching aids for learning is a matter that is needed by academics, such as the tensile testing machine. Tensile testing machine consists of several components, including: Frame, power transfer screw, pulling throttle, fixed grip holder, cross head, pulling screw pair, power screw gear, drive gear, WPX gear box, chain, v-belt, driving pulley, electric motor, sprocket, WPA gearbox, drived pulley. With the tensile testing machine, academics know the characteristics of the material, as an important knowledge of material materials viewed from materials that have tensile strength, compressive strength, twisting force, shear force, modulus of elasticity, to where the material is already unable to withstand the load and break up (Fracture / Break). From the research results obtained a maximum load of 292 MPa far exceeds the yield stress of AISI 1035 material of 282.69 MPa, for Savety of Factor obtained 0.97 is also below the safety factor standard of 1.

Abstract

The grinding station is the initial stage of the sugar production activity, the main machine used at this station consists of a cane cutter, a unigrator, and a grinding unit. Before the sugar cane material is entered into the pruning process, the unigrator process is used, which functions as a sugar cane chopper material. The unigrator machine is driven by a steam turbine which is a mover that converts the potential energy of the steam into kinetic energy and is then converted into mechanical energy in the form of a turbine shaft rotation. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the power needs of the unigrator and to determine the power of the steam turbine driving the unigrator to be able to obtain maximum sugarcane enumeration in PT. Rajawali II Sugar Factory Jatitujuh. The results of the study that analyzed the unigrator machine requires power 69.39 kw / Th, to get the maximum sugarcane count the obtained prepration index value of 93.3%, the higher the prepration index value, the better the performance of the extraction so that the milking process is getting maximum. In the steam turbine produces 160,559 J / sec turbine internal power, the effective power of the turbine generates 1,129 J / sec for the effective power for normal rotation to move the unigrator not too low and its rpm is high.

Abstract

On a the shoe factory often happenned downtime (production stop), less response from the mechanic or team leader. The problem, can be overcome by andon, andon is a system monitoring and panel audio visual from electric useful to fast on information to mechanic or team leader, the system andon work when it happenned a problem at production. This study aims to analiyze the system and care in andon directly in field because comapny in demand to fulfill a request from buyer. The research method is by means of a survey directly to the factory area and the result of direct interviews of resourch persons and operators that are contained in the plant. After doing research 8 hours usage/ day andon relieve the operator to contact the team leader and technicians concerned if quality problems occur and damage to the machine.

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) is erratic water discharge in the reservoir so that variations in blade openings can be carried out in order to stabilize the flow of water entering the turbine. The occurrence of this problem will result in a decrease in turbine efficiency. Different causes - the difference is the variation of the guide blade opening also aims to stabilize the turbine rotation. variation of the guide blade opening and turbine shaft rotation as the independent variables namely ¾, ½, 1/3 and full openings, then for the rotation are 598, 560, 545 and 600 rpm. The efficiency produced at full openings is 93.35%, openings ¾ are 93.04%, openings ½ are 87.13% and openings 1/3 are 84.79%. So it can be concluded that the full openings have the highest efficiency.

Abstract

PT. PG. Rajawali II unit PG. Jatitujuh uses 3 boiler units as its energy source, one of which is boiler Fives Cail Babcock BR 2-39-62 capacity of 55 tons / hour. Boilers or boilers are closed vessels used to produce steam, steam is obtained by heating a vessel containing water with fuel. The steam produced by the boiler will be used to drive the turbine in 2 alternators, 1 unit of unigator, 1 unit of mill, 1 unit of cane cuter, and the process of drying sugar. BR 2-39-62 FCB boilers began operating in 1980, this boiler is quite old so that the performance has decreased. For this reason, an analysis was held to determine the efficiency of the boiler. The initial standard of boiler operation FCB 2-39-62 in 1980 was a maximum working pressure of 26 bar, the temperature of the incoming water was 105ºC, steam temperature was 350ºC, steam flow was 47 Ton / Hour, and water quality was 7.0 pH. Based on data and analysis, it is known that the initial efficiency of boiler operation FCB BR 2-39-62 is 100%, while the greatest efficiency on October 21, 2018 is 38%. The effect of decreasing boiler efficiency is caused by the reduced temperature of boiler intake due to the buildup of scale and rust on the pipe, which affects the steam flow.

Abstract

Along with the development of community growth, the development of industry also develops very quickly. This development includes people's purchasing power, people's interest in goods that have a high level of quality, thus enabling the community to make the most of these goods. based on observations made in the sewing section which is the most important part in the production process, found several problems that occur in the sewing process, such as the results of the skip stitches and bobbins that break easily. In writing this practical work report is discussed about how to overcome the results of the stitches that are skip to the computer stiching machine, how to overcome so that the bobbin thread does not break easily and when the bobbin thread will run out can be known. Based on observations during practical work, the disturbance that causes the skip stitching results is due to blunt needles and poor yarn quality. Overcome the problem by doing maintenance and maintenance of computer stiching machines according to schedule. While the interference causing the bobin thread to break easily is the condition of the Home Lifeboat and Rotary Hook in dirty condition, to prevent it can be applied to the microcontroller system by using Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) and Infrared proximity sensors to detect the cleanliness of the lifeboat's room and to control the bobbin thread when it will run out.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini Untuk : 1) MengenalI Mobil Tanpa Kemudi, 2) Menjelaskan Sejarah Mobil Tanpa Kemudi yang ditemukan oleh Perusahaan Google, 3) Mengetahui Beberapa Komponen pada Mobil Tanpa Kemudi, 4) Cara Kerja pada Mobil Tanpa Kemudi yang didukung oleh GPS, 5) Keuntungan dan Kerugian pada Mobil Tanpa Kemudi. Metode Penelitian ini Menggunakan HDST (Historis, Deskriptif, Teori Dasar dan Simulasi). Mobil Tanpa Kemudi (Self Driving Car) juga dikenal sebagai Mobil Otonom atau Mobil Robot. Google’s Self Driving Car disingkat SDC adalah proyek Google X yang melibatkan mobil otonom yang dilengkapi perangkat lunak. Sebastian Turan mengawali karirnya dengan menghadirkan kendaraan robot Stanly di The Darpa Challenge For Robotics Vehicles pada tahun 2000an. Dalam Komponen pada Mobil Tanpa Kemudi tersebut memiliki GPS, Sensor Ultrasonik, Sensor Odometri, Sensor Radar, LIDAR, Kamera dan Komputer Pusat. Mobil ini menggunakan tenaga listrik yang bisa berjalan hingga 100 mil menggunakan berbagai kombinasi sensor dan software teknologi terbaru untuk mencari sendiri kondisi lingkungan di sekitarnya yang dikombinasikan dengan Google Maps dan GPS. Untuk Mengetahui Keuntungannya Bahwa Google pun dirancang dapat mengenali para pengendara sepeda untuk menghindari kecelakaan sedangkan Kerugiannya Bahwa Cuaca yang buruk membuat kontrol mobil Google lebih sulit, terutama karena pandangannya ke sekitar terhalang.

Abstract

Plastic chopper machine is a machine used to crush plastics into smaller sizes, in the world of the plastic processing machine industry using kinetic energy on the fly wheel as a storage of rotational power, when the plastic chopper is working there is still a decrease in rotating power so it needs further analysis. Direct testing is carried out in the field, namely on a work system with multilevel loads on a plastic chopper, testing the endurance of a fly wheel mass that is suitable for maintaining the performance of a plastic chopper. From the test results of the play wheel mass of 55 Kg, it obtained 71 Newton's inertia, with a decrease in rotational power: 450 rpm in a period of 6 seconds, and was able to increase the turning power back in a period of 6 seconds. At a mass of 35 kg obtained 45 Newton's inertia force, a decrease in rotational power: 450 rpm in a period of 2 seconds, a rotational force: 450 rpm in a period of 2 seconds is obtained. From the test, it is obtained the influence of the mass of the ply wheel on the resistance of rotation and increase in rotation when the load is removed.

Abstract

Coconut trees are widely spread in Indonesia, generally in rural areas. People usually sell coconuts to middlemen and some are processed by themselves for copra. Processing coconut into dried coconut (copra) can be done through the process of drying by the sun or using a machine. Copra processing to produce coconut oil in the region is usually done traditionally by tasting coconut milk over a fire, which later the water will evaporate and the remaining oil and pulp. Because the method is still very traditional, the process needed to produce coconut oil takes about five to six hours. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the technology of the screw palm press tool is a technology that has been designed to accelerate the production process so as to save labor, fuel and practical use. The results of research and design of copra screw press machines that have been completed in the form of design drawings using solid work applications. Machine dimension refers to a simple machine with copra storage tube material using a steel pipe with a thickness of 5 millimeters. For skeletal materials using U profile steel, L profile steel. Electric motor power and transmission systems use 0.5 HP gearbox, chain, gear measuring 36 and 14 v-belts and pulleys measuring 15 and 10. In the manufacturing process adapted to the design data and using production machines that have been adapted to the needs in the process of making tools. With the manufacturing solution, the screw press palm tool is veryhelp forcopra prcessors top produce coconut oil. For copra weighing 3 kg can produce 1 kg of oil, copra weighing 6 kg produce 2 kg of oil and copra 10 kg can produce 4 kg of oil.

Abstract

Steam turbine is a prime mover that converts steam potential energy into kinetic energy and then is converted into mechanical energy in the form of turbine shaft rotation. The turbine shaft, directly or with the aid of a reduction gear, is connected to the mechanism to be moved. Maintenance is a function that is as important as production in a company or factory. This is because the equipment or facilities that we use require maintenance or maintenance so that the equipment or facilities can be used continuously so that production activities can run smoothly. From the results of the preparation of the Job Training Report about the working process of sugar cane steam turbine turbines in PT. PG. RAJAWALI II Jatitujuh majalengka, this can be concluded as follows: There is a finding how to overcome the problematic steam turbine blades is to maintain the quality of the boiler steam so it does not go up and down, because if the quality of the steam in the boiler goes up and down will cause corrosion blades, if the longer will be broken on the blades, and if broken blade will cause a lack of performance on the turbine. The rotation speed corresponding to the turbine and the successor gear is 6500 rpm at the turbine rotation of 5 rpm at the final successor gear rotation.
