Abstract

Sharia economic disputes are increasingly prevalent due to the growth of Islamic finance and the complexities of modern transactions. This study investigates the crucial role of fatwas (religious edicts) in resolving these disputes, with a specific focus on the contributions of the National Sharia Economic Board (Basyarnas) and the Religious Courts in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative approach, analyzing relevant legal frameworks, fatwas, and court decisions to understand how fatwas influence dispute resolution. Basyarnas plays a vital role in issuing fatwas that clarify complex financial issues, while the Religious Courts incorporate these fatwas to ensure sharia compliance in their rulings. The study concludes that fatwas are indispensable in maintaining the integrity of sharia economic transactions and fostering justice in the resolution of disputes. The research underscores the need for harmonization between fatwa-based guidance and positive law, advocating for a more comprehensive and consistent approach to resolving sharia economic disputes. The study emphasizes the importance of protecting consumer rights and ensuring fairness in all sharia economic transactions.

Abstract

The infiltration of radical ideology and religious extremism within digital educational environments has become a formidable threat to social integration and the cognitive stability of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in mitigating radicalism by evaluating the effectiveness of contemporary curricula and pedagogical strategies. The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) utilizing the PRISMA protocol, which screened 120 articles to yield 25 core reputable peer-reviewed papers (2021-2025) as primary data. Data analysis was conducted using the content analysis technique to identify the most effective patterns of educational intervention. The findings indicate that the transformation of IRE from an indoctrinative model toward a dialogical-inclusive model based on Wasathiyyah (moderation) values constitutes the most dominant counter-extremism instrument. These results confirm that the integration of digital religious literacy into the IRE curriculum enhances students' resilience against extremist narratives in cyberspace. In conclusion, IRE serves as a primary ideological defense that deconstructs absolute truth claims through the strengthening of critical reasoning and universal empathy. This research recommends the standardization of a religious moderation curriculum that is adaptive to digital dynamics to ensure the continuity of harmony within a multicultural society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the paradox of persistent poverty in Indonesia despite the country's status as one of the most generous nations with vast Islamic philanthropy potential. The core problem lies in the suboptimal management of Zakat, Infaq, Sedekah, and Waqf (ZISWAF), which is still dominated by charity-consumptive patterns and low institutional transparency. This study aims to analyze the optimization strategies of ZISWAF through the transformation of productive empowerment models and digital technology integration to achieve sustainable poverty alleviation. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA protocol on 25 reputable journal articles from Scopus and Sinta databases (2021-2025). Research data indicates that the adoption of FinTech and hybrid instrument innovations, such as Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS), significantly enhances accountability and fund collection volumes. The findings conclude that ZISWAF optimization requires synergy between professional management (Amil), tax regulation legality, and a shift in distribution paradigms toward human capital investment. The final conclusion emphasizes that integrating the digital ecosystem and strengthening the economic resilience of Mustahik through intensive mentoring are key to transforming Islamic philanthropy into a social fiscal force capable of permanently breaking the chain of structural poverty in Indonesia.

Abstract

Modern biotechnology, specifically human cloning and genetic engineering, presents a significant ethical dilemma in Nigeria, where Islamic law deeply influences social and legal conduct. This research addresses the tension between rapid scientific advancement and the preservation of Islamic moral values, focusing on the absence of a harmonized bioethical framework in Nigeria’s pluralistic legal system. The primary objective is to evaluate the permissibility and ethical boundaries of these technologies using the Maqasid al-Shari’ah (Objectives of Sharia) framework. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA protocol, this study synthesizes 25 reputable sources (2021–2026) covering Sharia jurisprudence and Nigerian healthcare policy. The findings reveal a sharp legal distinction: reproductive cloning is strictly prohibited (Haram) due to its disruption of genealogical integrity (Nasab), whereas somatic gene therapy for restorative purposes—particularly for Nigeria's sickle cell crisis—is highly encouraged as a form of medical necessity (Dharurah). The study concludes that the "ethical conflict" in Nigeria is not a theological rejection of science but a governance issue. It proposes a "Bio-Sharia" regulatory model that integrates Islamic ethical filters with national health legislation. This approach ensures that Nigeria can adopt life-saving genomic innovations without compromising the religious and cultural sanctity of its Muslim populace, ultimately providing a blueprint for other Muslim-majority nations in the Global South.

Abstract

The escalation of mental health disorders in Malaysia following the global pandemic necessitates intervention strategies that are more socioculturally relevant than conventional secular models, which frequently overlook the dimension of spirituality. This study aims to evaluate and formulate the integration of Islamic communication principles and spiritual coping mechanisms as a holistic stress management strategy within the Malaysian context. The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) utilizing the PRISMA protocol and content analysis techniques on 45 reputable journal references published between 2021 and 2025. Data indicates that prophetic communication principles, such as Qaulan Layyina and Qaulan Sadida, combined with positive spiritual coping—specifically tawakkul and sabar—significantly enhance psychological resilience and reduce cortisol levels in distressed individuals. The research findings conclude that integrating transcendental values into stress management protocols is not merely an alternative but a fundamental necessity for achieving sustainable inner tranquility (thumaninah). This study recommends a reform of Malaysia’s national mental health policies through cross-disciplinary collaboration between clinical psychologists and psychospiritual experts to create intervention models that are inclusive and grounded in local cultural identity.
