Abstract

This study investigated teachers' barriers when providing English for Specific Purposes (ESP) instruction to airline staff students at a private high school. The research methodology used in this examination was qualitative, adopting a case study approach. The current study employed a purposive sampling strategy to recruit two English for Specific Purposes (ESP) teachers who instruct Airline Staff in English as participants. The data were gathered through interviews and then evaluated and presented in a descriptive manner using theme analysis. The study unveiled that educators experienced diverse obstacles when instructing English for Specific Purposes (ESP). The problems included: a) the requirement for a proper textbook tailored to the specific discipline, b) the build-up of English language practice among students, and c) the necessity for more vocabulary relevant to their academic field

Abstract

Learning in Far-flung area is never easy for students to run out their semester-period for over time. Indeed, Covid-19 outbreak limited them to directly learning in face-to-face mode, moreover, the internet access tried to support distance-learning. On the contrary, the students were challenging to link with the internet connection because of the signal, however, they need to struggle out with this unprecedented covid-19 outbreak. Using a qualitative research method, three students who lived in far-flung area were interviewed and the interviews were transcribed verbatim, then analyzed by using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).This study describes the process of the students- struggles, students-adaptation, and the implication for future distance-learning that will be discussed.

Abstract

Abstrak Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengexplorasi bagaiamana perkembangan  kemampuan bahasa pada anak usia 4-5tahun dengan penerapan metode bercerita.  Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kasus. Partisipaan penelitian berjumlah 12, yang teridri dari guru dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, dan analisa data menggunakan analisa miles huberman. Hasil penelitian diperoleh temuan bahwa penerapan metode bercerita dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa anak sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak yang terlihat dari perkembangan signifikan yang berkembang sangat baik. Kami merekomendasikan agar guru lebih memperhatikan dan menambah ide-ide kreatif ketika bercerita sehingga anak mampu berkembang secara optimal. Selain itu, perlu dukungan berupa fasilitas,  perbanyakan  buku cerita dan media yang dapat membantu mengembangkan aspek bahasa anak. Abstact This study aims to explore how the development of language skills in children aged 4-5 years by applying the storytelling method for . The research method uses a qualitative type and a case study approach. The research participants numbered 12, consisting of teachers and students. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation, and data analysis using Miles Huberman analysis. The results of the study found that the application of the storytelling method in developing children's language skills greatly influences the development of children's language as seen from significant developments that have developed very well. We recommend that teachers pay more attention and add creative ideas when telling stories so that children can develop optimally. In addition, support is needed in the form of facilities, the increase in story books and media that can help develop children's language aspects.

Abstract

Mental Health in English Language Education responds to the growing concern over mental health issues among adolescents and their significant impact on education. Through an interdisciplinary approach combining education, psychology, and cultural studies, the book provides practical strategies and teaching materials for integrating mental health topics into English language classrooms. It highlights the role of English education in fostering mental health literacy through cultural, linguistic, and literary lenses. The book addresses current challenges such as digital media influence, climate anxiety, gender issues, and academic pressure, aiming to empower educators and create inclusive, supportive learning environments. This review outlines the book’s strengths in offering relevant pedagogical frameworks and discusses its limitations regarding generalizability across diverse educational and cultural contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe language errors in the field of linguistics and spelling. In the field of linguistics, it specializes in the fields of syntax and morphology. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative by describing the form of error data in accordance with the data obtained. The data source used in this study is the April 2019 edition of Liputan6.com news document. Data collection is done by reading, taking notes, classifying, and analyzing. The results of language error analysis include linguistic errors and spelling mistakes. Linguistic errors include, (1) morphological errors consisting of 30 errors, (2) syntactic errors consisting of 14. Spelling errors include, (1) writing italics reaching 30, (2) writing combined words reaching 3, (3) using marks comma reaches 140, (4) the use of quotation marks reaches 20, and (5) the use of prepositions reaches 3. From the results of the most dominant language error analysis found is an error in spelling in the use of commas.

Abstract

Arabic language education in Indonesia occupies a distinctive position as both a sacred and heritage language, yet classroom pedagogy remains constrained by grammar-translation methods, exam-driven assessment, and hierarchical teacher–student relations. This article examines the intersections of student voice, teacher professionalism, and critical pedagogy in Arabic classrooms, highlighting their potential to reframe pedagogy in faith-based settings. Drawing on critical pedagogy (Freire, 1970) and democratic professionalism (Sachs, 2001), we synthesize international scholarship with the Indonesian context to propose a context-sensitive framework for integrating student perspectives. The analysis illustrates how curricular reforms (KMA No. 183/2019), digital tools, and dialogical practices create openings for student agency, while cultural hierarchies and exam orientations continue to constrain authentic participation. We argue that student voice in Arabic education not only enhances learner engagement and communicative competence but also reshapes teacher identity toward more reflective and dialogical professionalism. By situating these dynamics in Indonesia, this article offers insights into how student voice, teacher professionalism, and critical pedagogy converge in Arabic language education, extending global debates on multilingual and faith-based pedagogy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat yang terdapat dalam novel Anak Bajang Menggiring Angin karya Sindhunata dengan menggunakan teori gaya bahasa Gorys Keraf. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik baca dan catat terhadap teks novel sebagai sumber data. Data dianalisis melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima jenis gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat yang ditemukan, yaitu klimaks, antiklimaks, paralelisme, repetisi, dan antitesis. Dari kelima jenis tersebut, gaya bahasa klimaks dan paralelisme merupakan bentuk yang paling dominan, menunjukkan kecenderungan pengarang dalam membangun intensitas emosi dan keseimbangan naratif. Gaya bahasa tersebut tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai unsur estetika, tetapi juga memperkuat nilai moral dan spiritual yang terkandung dalam cerita. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa struktur kalimat dalam karya sastra memiliki peran penting dalam membangun makna, ritme, dan gaya kepengarangan yang khas pada karya Sindhunata

Abstract

  يهدف هذا البحث الموسوم بـ التربية الشخصية في محتوى كتاب اللغة العربية للصف الحادي عشر: دراسة تحليل المضمون لمنهج وزارة الشؤون الدينية سنة ٢٠٢٠م إلى الكشف عن القيم التربوية المتعلّقة بتربية الشخصية في هذا الكتاب، وبيان مدى توافقها مع المنهج التعليمي الذي أقرّته المديرية العامة للتربية الإسلامية. يُعدّ كتاب اللغة العربية من المقرّرات التي تتناول القواعد والنظريات اللغوية بأسلوبٍ قصصيّ وتربويّ يجمع بين الجانب اللغوي والقيمي، مما يجعله وسيلةً فعّالة في تنمية الشخصية الإسلامية المتوازنة لدى المتعلّمين. تنبع أهمية هذا البحث من ضعف الاهتمام الحالي بتربية الشخصية في العملية التعليمية، حيث لوحظ أنّ عدداً من الطلاب يفتقرون إلى السلوك القويم والأدب الحسن. ومن هنا، يسعى الباحث إلى الإجابة عن الأسئلة الآتية:١. كيف تُعرض المادة التعليمية في كتاب اللغة العربية للصف الحادي عشر الصادر عن وزارة الشؤون الدينية سنة ٢٠٢٠ م؟ ٢. ما أبرز خصائص المحتوى في هذا الكتاب؟ ٣. ما القيم التربوية المتعلقة بتربية الشخصية الواردة فيه؟ اعتمد الباحث المنهج الوصفي النوعي (Descriptive Qualitative)، مستنداً إلى أسلوب البحث المكتبي (Library Research) في جمع البيانات من المصادر الأدبية والعلمية ذات الصلة، مع توظيف منهج تحليل المحتوى (Content Analysis) في دراسة النصوص وتحليل مضامينها. وتوصّل البحث إلى النتائج الآتية: ١. من حيث عرض المادة، يتميّز الكتاب بعرضٍ جيّد ومتدرّج يتّسم بالتفاعل والمشاركة، ومتوافقٍ مع المنهج الدراسي المعتمد، ٢. من حيث خصائص المحتوى، فإنّ مادّته منسجمة مع الأهداف التربوية التي وضعتها المديرية العامة للتربية الإسلامية، حيث تجمع بين الجانب اللغوي والتربوي بصورةٍ متوازنة، ٣. من حيث تربية الشخصية، تضمّن الكتاب قيماً تربوية واضحة تتّفق مع برنامج تعزيز تربية الشخصية (PPK) المقرّر في المنهج التعليمي، مما يجعله أداةً فعّالة في ترسيخ الأخلاق الحميدة وتنمية السلوك الإيجابي لدى المتعلّمين

Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف الحكمة المحلية في تعلم مهارة الكتابة (القدرة على الكتابة باللغة العربية) بناءً على بيئة باللغة العربية مع نهج صديق للطفل في مدرستين داخليتين إسلاميتين في مادورا. تنطلق خلفية هذه الدراسة من ممارسة العنف المتفشية في عالم التعليم، بما في ذلك المدارس الداخلية الإسلامية، والتي تتطلب وجود نهج تعليمي إنساني وحماية حقوق الأطفال. باستخدام نهج دراسة الحالة النوعية، أجري هذا البحث في مدرسة أم القرى السيوطي الإسلامية الداخلية ومدرسة مفتاح العلوم بانيبن الإسلامية الداخلية. تتضمن تقنيات جمع البيانات الملاحظة غير التشاركية والمقابلات شبه المنظمة والتوثيق. تُظهر النتائج أن كلتا المدرستين الداخليتين الإسلاميتين قد نفذتا برنامجًا للبيئة باللغة العربية يدعم تعلم مهارة الكتابة بطريقة إيجابية وصديقة للطفل. وهكذا، تؤكد هذه الدراسة أن تطبيق التعلم البيئي باللغة العربية، مصحوبًا بتطوير قيم الحكمة المحلية ونهج مُراعي للطفل، يُمكن أن يُنشئ نظامًا تعليميًا فعالًا، سياقيًا، وإنسانيًا لمهارات الكتابة. يُسهم هذا الوضع بشكل كبير في تحسين مهارات الكتابة لدى الطلاب، مع تهيئة بيئة تعليمية شاملة وخالية من العنف. كما تُوصي هذه الدراسة بتبني نهج مماثل في مختلف المؤسسات التعليمية الإسلامية الأخرى، في إطار جهود إصلاح نظام تعلم اللغة العربية ليكون أكثر توجهًا نحو الطلاب والقيم الإنسانية
