Abstract

This study addresses the big problem that tourism projects and initiatives are encountering. Lack of financing is a common challenge hindering the development of tourism, resulting to a number of popular destinations that are slowly dying (e.g. the Great Wall of China, and the Angkor Wat). The purpose of Tourism Finance is to set criteria on which value-adding tourism projects should receive investment funding; and to evaluate a tourism organization’s financial needs to better decide on what capital structure (i.e., debt and/or equity) to appropriately raise to minimize the weighted average cost of capital. The method of this research is using qualitative research method with techniques of data collection by literature study and that were conducted by discussing seven potential sources of travel and tourism financing. Output, the result of this research is recommendations for leader in travel and tourism in improving the performance of tourism finance, investments to maintain the financial sustainability of organizations (i.e., business, non-profit and government) involved in the travel and tourism sectors.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine how profitability mediating the effects of the capital structure and company liquidity to company value. This research is conducted at the telecommunications sub-sector company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (2015-2018). The population in this study are food and beverage companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample was conducted by purposive sampling method and then the number of samples is 12 companies. The research data is secondary data obtained from the website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the Indonesian Capital Market Directory from 2014 until 2017. Data analysis by path analysis technique. The results of this study that can be concluded are (1) the capital structure has negative insignificant impact on profitability, (2) the company liquidity has negative significant impact on profitability, (3) the capital structure has negative significant impact on value of the firm, (4) the company liquidity has negative insignificant impact on value of the firm, (5) the profitability had positive and significant impact on value of the firm, (6) profitability is able to mediate the effect of capital structure on value of the firm significantly, (7) the profitability is able to mediate the effect of company liquidity on value of the firm significantly.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of learning orientation on innovation, and knowledge competence as a mediator between learning orientation and innovation. The research collected data from 70 managers of manufacturing SMEs in Bali Province responded to the research questionnaires, and then the data were analyzed by using structural equation modeling with the partial least square approach. The results of this research show a significant and direct effect of learning orientation on innovation, learning orientation on knowledge competence, and knowledge competence on innovation. Furthermore, the results of the research show an indirect influence between learning orientation and innovation, which is mediated by knowledge competence. The findings of this research empirically show that learning orientation has a positive effect on knowledge competence, and knowledge competence has an important mediating effect to be managed to explain the mechanism by which learning orientation encourages innovation. Based on the research result, therefore, it can be concluded that this research offers empirical evidence about the relationship of learning orientation, knowledge competence and innovation. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the clarification that high learning orientation levels can increase innovation capacity. An important finding of this research is the role of learning orientation to increase innovation through the mediation of knowledge competence.

Abstract

Human resources have a large role in an organization. The success in achieving organizational goals comes from the treatment of its own employees, therefore its employees will form the organizational structure and utilize technology. The aim of the study to know the employees’ role and respond to variations and measurements of the environment in the organization. Method of data analysis in this satudy is multiple linear regression. The steps of the analysis are as follows: analysis of data in the form of numbers in order to determine the effect of one variable with another. As for the methods used by statistical calculations according to (Pramono & Ferdinand, 2012. Therefore, the BPJS Health Liaison Office in Rungkut Surabaya expects that employees, both permanent and non-permanent, will have good performance. Employee performance will be better if the employee has high ability and a supportive work environment in completing his duties. Based on data analysis and discussion of research results. The results show that there is a partial influence of the work environment on the performance of temporary employees of BPJS Health Liaison Office Rungkut Surabaya.

Abstract

To achieve maximum work results and satisfy, empowerment is needed by an employee in carrying out their duties so that employee performance can be improved. In addition, the work climate also affects employee performance. An open organizational climate encourages employees to express their interests and dissatisfaction without fear of retaliation and attention. In addition to the work climate, job satisfaction also affects employee performance, job satisfaction as a pleasant or positive emotional state that arises results from research on a job. The sample under this study was 63 employees at the Transportation Office of Klungkung Regency. The determination of the sample used the slovin method. The method in this recent study is quantitave approach and the analytical instrument used was multiple linear regression analysis; multiple correlation, determination, t test and F test. The results showed that the empowerment variable had a positive effect on employee performance as indicated by the significance value of 0.026

Abstract

As a phenomenon that has a significant impact on the organization, turnover is expected to be controlled by knowing and blocking the emergence of turnover intention behavior. This study seeks to uncover the factors that influence female employee turnover intention in terms of work- family conflict, work engagement, and emotional fatigue. By building an integrative framework model of the three to then be tested in structural modeling. The research sample was all female employees who worked at BPR Mengwi District in Bali. A total of 47 female employees participated in this study. This study was categorized as a cross- sectional study that focused on the turnover of the intention of female BPR employees in Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali Province and the analytical method used to determine the relationship between variables is a structural model using the PLS (Partial Least Square) method with SmartPLS software 2.0 version. The important findings of this study are: 1). Emotional fatigue does not have an important influence on turnover intention of female employees, 2). Job-Family conflict do not have an important influence on female employee turnover intention, 3). Job-family conflict do not have an important influence on turnover intention through employee emotional fatigue. It can be concluded that the job engagement of female employees can have an important influence on the tendency to leave the company where they work. But this is not the case with job-family conflicts and emotional fatigue felt by female BPR employees in Mengwi District.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on firm value, the size of the company against firm value, profitability against firm value, company size in moderating the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and company value, profitability in moderating the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility to the value of the company. This study uses a quantitative method which uses time series or past data related to the Annual Report of Pharmaceutical Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The technical data analysis in this study uses Analysis Moderated Regresion with SPSS for Windows 25.0. The sample in this study used eight pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Use annual reports with the 2014-2017 period. The results of the research obtained are Corporate Social Responsibility has a significant positive effect on firm value,Firm size has a significant positive effect on firm value, Profitability has a significant negative effect on firm value, Firm size is not able to moderate relationships between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and company value, Profitability is not able to moderate the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and company value.

Abstract

Employee performance is a very important thing in the company's efforts to achieve its goals. Creating good employee performance is not easy because employee performance can be created if the variables that influence it can be well accommodated and accepted by all employees within an organization or company. In this study employee performance is influenced by job satisfaction, work stress and work motivation. This study aims to explain the effect of work stress on employee performance, the effect of work stress on employee job satisfaction, the effect of motivation on employee job satisfaction, the effect of motivation on employee performance, the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance, how job satisfaction mediates the effect of work stress on employee performance, and how job satisfaction mediates the effect of motivation on employee performance. This research is included in the type of research explaining or explanatory research. This research was conducted at Alam Puri Villa Art Museum and Resort Denpasar. Respondents of this study were 64 employees of Alam Puri Villa Art Museum and Resort Denpasar. Data collection techniques used in research include observation, interview, literature study, questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using PLS (partial least square). The results of this study indicate that work stress has a negative and not significant effect on employee performance, work stress has a negative and not significant effect on job satisfaction, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on proven job satisfaction, work motivation has a positive and not significant effect on employee performance, job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, job satisfaction is not a mediating variable between work stress on employee performance, and job satisfaction mediates the influence between work motivation on employee performance.
