Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties of class V students at SDN 09 Tanjung Lay in solving math word problems. The research aims to determine the teacher's strategy in teaching students to solve math word problems in class V SDN 09 Tanjung Lay. The method in this study uses qualitative methods with a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were class V teachers at SDN 09 Tanjung Lay. The object of this research is the teacher's strategy in teaching students to solve math word problems in class V SDN 09 Tanjung Lay. The research instrument uses interview sheets, observation sheets and documentation. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the teacher's strategy in teaching students to solve math word problems in class V SDN 09 Tanjung Lay was the strategy used by the teacher was quite good but the teacher's understanding of the learning strategy was slightly lacking. The strategies used by the teacher are motivating strategies, providing special guidance and using media related to learning. The method that the teacher uses is the lecture and discussion method with the technique of using real objects to provide understanding to students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes during face-to-face and online learning at SD Negeri 11 Nanga Pinoh. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and documentation. The procedure in the research includes the preparation stage, the implementation stage, the final stage of the research. The results of the research show that there are differences in results of students’ daily tests during face-to-face and online learning. This is because the learning prosess when online is not optimal, compared to face-to-face learning in face-to-face learning, teachers more easily understand the characteristics of their students than during online learning. Therefore, only 30% of students’ daily test scores during online learning complete the KKM. Whereas during face-to-face learning 70% of students complete the KKM

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in teaching students to read the beginning at SDN 18 Tubung. The research was carried out in the lower grades especially in the first grade. This research is a type of qualitative research where the research results are described in accordance with reality in the field. The subject in this study is a Class I Teacher and the object of this study is the teacher's strategy in teaching students to read the beginning. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, and observation and documentation. The research instruments used are interview guideline sheets and observation sheets. Data processing techniques go through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The results of this study show that: 1) The planning stage, teachers have not been able to make learning designs; 2) The stage of learning implementation, it was found that in teaching students to read the beginning in class I, the teacher used various strategies including letter card strategies, syllable cards, and word cards, singing strategies, alphabetical methods, and syllable methods; 3) Learning evaluation stage, the teacher provides a formative evaluation by asking students to take turns reading the letters listed on the board or taking The letter cards available are as the teacher mentioned.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of thematic learning by low grade teachers (2) describe the constraints faced by low grade teachers when implementing thematic learning (3) describe the solutions designed and carried out by low grade teachers in overcoming obstacles thematic learning.This research was conducted in the lower grades of SDN 06 Emang Bemban, Pinoh Selatan District, Melawi Regency. This study uses a type of qualitative research through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were low grade teachers at SDN 06 Emang Bemban and the object of this study was the implementation of thematic learning in low grades. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The research instrument used was observation sheets and interviews.The results of this study indicate that low grade teachers have implemented thematic learning, but there are several obstacles in the implementation process, namely; First, the lack of students' understanding of learning makes low grade teachers take initiatives to help students, one of the initiatives taken is to make learning separate or per subject. Second, the lack of use of learning media. Third, there are still teachers who have not been able to develop thematic lesson plans. By finding some of these obstacles, low grade teachers collaborated with the Education Unit at SDN 06 Emang Bemban to realize thematic learning that was carried out without experiencing any problems.

Abstract

The research is based on the low reading ability of first grade elementary school ssudents. The purpose of the study was to determine the improvement of early reading skills using a syllable approach. The research method uses classroom action research. The research subjects were first grade elementary school students. The object of the study was to improve the ability to read beginning through the use of a syllable approach. The research instrument used observation sheets, learning implementation sheets. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, documentation. The results of the study were the ability to read at the beginning of the first cycle of students completed as many as 7 people with a percentage of 33.33% and students who did not complete as many as 14 people with a percentage of 66.66%. While the average value of the implementation of learning in the first cycle obtained a value of 71.59%. In the second cycle, the initial reading ability that met the criteria for completeness was 17 students with a percentage of 80.95%, while students who did not meet the criteria for completeness were 4 people with a percentage of 19.04. While the average value of the implementation of learning in the second cycle obtained a value of 91.30%. There was an increase in students' initial reading ability from cycle I to cycle II of 47.62%. The conclusion

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to write poetry in class IV students of SDN 13 Nanga Pinoh before and after the field trip method is applied. The research was conducted based on the background of the problem of students' lack of interest in writing poetry. Through this research, students are expected to be able to express their ideas, thoughts, and feelings in the form of poetry. This study used the field trip method for fourth grade students at SDN 13 Nanga Pinoh. This type of research is an experiment using the Design One-Group Pretest-Posttest form. The population in this study were fourth grade students at SDN 13 Nanga Pinoh using a total sampling technique or saturated sample totaling 28 students consisting of 15 male students and 13 female students. The results of this study obtained an average score of 57.32 pretest and 83.57 posttest. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the field trip method the ability to write poetry improves the learning outcomes of Indonesian language students in grade IV SDN 13 Nanga Pinoh, the value of  = 12.36 and = 0.374 is obtained so that Ho is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in students' writing poetry before and after using the field trip method.
