Abstract

Based on the lack of knowledge about research with a qualitative approach, so as enlightenment efforts,especially for the students, this article focuses on the discussion of the practice of text analysis based onSaussure and Pierce Model. From the discussion, it is known that in practice both models each has stagesthat must be followed in order to ease in the research process. In order to further facilitate the process ofunderstanding in practice, it is necessary for students to practice once or twice against a different text,especially for Pierce models that are more complex than the model of Saussure.

Abstract

Human trafficking is a kind of slavery in the modern time. Human being as an image of God is destroyed. Using qualitative method, the aim of this study is to find out the psychosocial problems of the clients as the victims of human trafficking and its result of the intervention. The research location was conducted at Harapan Roxy Shelter-Central Jakarta. The selection of informants was carried out purposively. With the technique of collecting observation data, in-depth interviews, documentation found the main problems experienced by the client are depression, trauma, stress, inability to see, insomnia, nightmares, anxiety, despair, anger, confusion, and loss of memory. The interventions carried out through assessment: create a case record on psychological problems assisted by psychologists and social workers. Social rehabilitation services are through a process of mental guidance, spiritual approach, physical exercises, gymnastics, recreation, giving skills and preparation for returning clients, termination and monitoring. Social worker’s intervention results include: the physical appearance of the clients (look cleaner and healthier), they are being diligent in working, regularly resting, actively follow any activities that motivate the clients to begin new life. Psychologically, the clients feel comfortable, happy, free from the burden, have freedom and dare to express themselves. Spiritually, there are changes in them including praying regularly and feeling close to God. The role of social workers in this intervention is as counselors, mediators, and motivators. The recommendation proposed from the results of this study are the following preventions: the socialization of human trafficking, providing basic education, giving proper skill courses and cooperating with various stakeholders.

Abstract

This study examines the construction of the Kompas Daily editorial text regarding the Indonesian government's new normal policy. This study aims to find out how the construction of the Kompas Daily editorial text regarding the Indonesian government's new normal policy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with discourse analysis of Teun A Van Dijk, and uses documentation studies and in-depth interviews for data collection. Through the analysis, it was found that, in terms of the text dimension, in general the seven editorials of the Kompas Daily took the theme of things that Indonesia should pay attention to and implement in order to implement the new normal policy. In the dimension of social cognition, the editorial of Kompas Daily is made by combining the ideology, understanding, knowledge, and point of view of Kompas and that of an editorial writer as an individual, which will later produce an editorial that is expected to be wise. In the context dimension, it is found that the discourse circulating in the community is the same as the discourse raised in the seven editorials regarding the new normal policy of the Indonesian government with various perspectives, including the pros and cons of this policy.

Abstract

In the context of an increasingly competitive business environment, companies continuously strive to strengthen their brand recognition through various strategic approaches designed to capture consumer attention. A brand serves as a vital element in differentiating one product from another, making it an essential asset for any organization. This study aims to analyze the brand activation strategies implemented by the Realfood Mom Community through the utilization of online media platforms. Adopting a post-positivist paradigm, this research employs indirect observation and semi-structured interviews with key informants from the Realfood team who are directly involved in the community’s brand activation initiatives. Data collection was guided by structured interview protocols, and  were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis framework. The findings reveal that the Realfood Mom Community’s brand activation efforts are tailored to meet the needs of its members, remain responsive to current social and digital trends, and consistently align with the overarching vision and mission of the company. These results highlight the strategic role of online-based community engagement in sustaining brand relevance and strengthening brand-consumer relationships in the digital era.

Abstract

This research is based on the general public concern about HIV/AIDS which has developed into a social phenomenon that worries many families, especially in Ambon City. Increasing the amount of distribution is very disturbing because the prevalence rate continues to increase from year to year. This condition should not be allowed because HIV/ AIDS is a phenomenon of iceberg, meaning that one case can be reported to represent so many people with the same case. Prevention efforts through the promotion of health have been conducted in Ambon City by various parties through lectures and distribution of leaflet or brochures at the localization of Wanita Pekerja Seks Langsung (WPSL) Tanjung Batu Merah Kota Ambon, with the aim of having knowledge and attitude change to prevent risk of HIV/ AIDS transmission. In principle, everyone has the right to gain knowledge in order to protect themselves and others. However, in reality the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Maluku generally and specifically Ambon City remains high. Actually the risk of transmission can be reduced if the WPSL as a community at high risk can do the prevention of transmission it self. Tipe this study is quantitative, using statistical test methods.Technique of collecting data of this research use closed questionnaire, with scale measurement of knowledge and attitude measurement scale. Data were analyzed with computer program of SPSS version 20 with significance level P= 0,05 to test hypothesis for achievement of research purpose. Based on the research results can be concluded that there is correlation value of 39.6% of knowledge on changes in attitude of WPSL. While the implementation of lectures with leaflet support gave a significant effect of 60.4% on knowledge and attitude of WPSL for prevention of HIV / AIDS transmission.

Abstract

The development of an increasingly sophisticated and modern era brings convenience and practicality in supporting one's appearance, one of which is about the use of beauty products for women. In everyday life, most women unwittingly use cosmetics almost all the time. Currently the trend of beauty products has developed rapidly, one of which follows the aspects of Halal Life Style. Halal-labeled products are very important in Indonesia. Beauty products with halal labels on their products, are very beneficial for the majority of Indonesian people who are moeslim. One beauty product that targets Moeslim consumers in Indonesia and has proven to be halal in its products is Wardah products. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of halal labeling on the purchase decision process of Wardah cosmetics and to determine the effect of Wardah labeling on the purchase decision process. The study was conducted with quantitative research methods with the type of descriptive research. The sampling technique used is using non-probability sampling and obtaining 452 respondents from Instagram account followers @wardahbeauty. The results showed that there was an influence between halal labeling on the purchase decision process of Wardah cosmetics. With a correlation coefficient of 0.675 the strength of the relationship is strong between halal labeling and the buying decision process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many cases of violence in Indonesia against women. Women are weak people who are victims of violence, especially in domestic life. Households that have problems and conflicts that cannot be resolved properly and completely result in verbal and physical violence. This research aims to determine the Communication Privacy Management of Women Victims of Domestic Violence (KDRT). The theory used in this research is the Communication Privacy Management theory proposed by Sandra Petronio. This theory is a map of how someone can maintain their privacy. This theory also states that each individual has the right to choose how they want to disclose personal information about themselves to others. To obtain answers from this research, researchers used qualitative research methods with 3 (three) informants using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used were observation, in- depth direct interviews with informants and making documentation in the form of notes on the results of interviews with informants. The research results show that Communication Privacy Management for Women Victims of Domestic Violence is carried out consciously and with full selective and strict consideration in choosing trusted friends to share their private information with. However, information that is felt to be very personal is often consciously and carefully kept to oneself and kept secret or not disclosed to anyone.

Abstract

The Social Work in hospital is a practice social worker to resolve psychosocial problem of patients related the process of illness healing in hospital. This research will describes the process of social worker services for patients who have problems of cost. This research conducted in health care of Sint Carolus Hospital, Jakarta.The purpose of this study was to know about: (1) Process of social worker services in Sint Carolus Hospital to help resolve social problem of patients especially the problem of cost. (2) The factors that influence the process of social work services in health care of Sint Carolus Hospital. (3) The barriers of social workers services to solve the social problems of patients in Sint Carolus Hospital.The conclution of this research is: (1) The process of social worker services in the field of health care in Sint Carolus Hospital is the steps being taken by social workers in dealing with patients in a professional manner. The stage is following the intervention phase of generalist social work. The problem solving steps include: assessments, identification of problems, set goals, intervention planning, intervention, evaluation and termination. (2) The factors to influence social worker services: organization, social worker, other health profession as well as patient and their family. These factors such as the rules and policies of government agencies, hospitals management , social worker services procedures, Human Resources of social worker and the other professional personnel to responding the social problems of the patient, as well as the patient or the patient's family behavior to addressing their social problems, especially their cost problem. (3) The hindrance of the social worker services process occurs on the client outreach. The involvement of social workers to resolving social problems of patients was too late, and patient was overdue consulted to social worker. Another barrier is the lack of social workers in hospitals and health workers less responsive and did not understanding well about the social problems experienced by the patient as wel as the client is not transparent and passive.

Abstract

This article answers two research questions: (i) what is the picture of the digital divide caused by the use of digital technology in Bejiarum Village, Wonosobo City, and (ii) what can be done to develop interventions to address the digital divide? To answer these two questions, methods and interviews and Focused Group Discussions were used to collect information, which was carried out flexibly during the 10-day stay in Wonosobo. The answer to question one shows that ownership and use of digital technology is evenly distributed, there is almost no gap between children and parents. While the answers to question two indicate the need to develop an organization for the use of digital technology at the RW (Citizens Association) level through the RT (Neighborhood Association)-based WiFi program.
