The proposed qualitative research paper will examine the strategies, challenges and perceptions of stakeholders in relation to the bureaucratic reform with the aim of improving digital public services. The paper establishes the efficiency of digital reforms such as the encouragement of the inclusive participation and the elimination of resistance to change through thorough interviews with the stakeholders, namely the government officials and information technology professionals. The results indicate that there is a sharp issue of organizational inertia and that it is critical to have clear evaluation measurements, which will help in the effective provision of digital services. Further, the perception of the stakeholders indicates that there is a great faith in the ability of digital public services to enhance access to government, efficiency and transparency in the government administration. Nevertheless, the success of such initiatives can be derailed, unless the root causes of such obstacles are considered and different stakeholders are involved in the reform process. The research is significant in that it adds to the existing body of literature on the need to comprehend human factors in digital transformation of public services, and highlights key role of promoting organisational culture of collaboration in public agencies. The experiences gained during this research are useful to policymakers and practitioners who work to overcome the challenges of the digital reform in the governmental setting and eventually improve the processes of service delivery and social trust.

This study investigates the local community's response to livelihood commodification in the Tanjung Bira Beach tourism destination. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis involving key informants, including community leaders and local business owners. The findings reveal significant impacts of tourism on traditional livelihoods, with many participants experiencing declines in fishing and farming activities while adapting by diversifying into tourism-related work. Cultural practices have also been commodified, raising concerns about authenticity and cultural identity. Despite the economic benefits of increased income and job opportunities, the community faces challenges related to environmental degradation and social tensions. The study highlights the importance of community engagement in decision-making processes and the need for sustainable tourism practices to ensure equitable benefits for all residents.

The present essay is a vehement attempt to explore how effective social media is in regards to political campaigning and participatory campaign movements in democracy. The interviews and focus groups were resorted to, to pursue the information concerning the exposures of the participants of this study to the political contents and their interaction with the created micro-influencers, as well as the implications of the user-generated content (UGC) in general. Logs and diaries were also used. The micro-influencers due to their close interactions with the followers have the most important role of driving political participation as it is stated in the research adopted. Among the examples of social media activism, one may refer to memes, other videos, and realistic campaigns devoted to politics, and it may be concluded as the tool that should never be underestimated to raise the voice of the political force, make people become involved online and offline. To simplify somewhat complicated political issues and engage more viewers, visual effects, in particular emotive photography, and video have been added as the effective means. The cynicism that affects those systems is also reviewed in the paper and the way in which the polarization and fake news interfere with politics and betray the trust in the online media. These give some insights to how social media has affected political activities and participation and social stratification of its citizens and empowered them.

This is because the present study will seek to explore the role of digital interaction on youth engagement through political involvement in the 2024 elections thereby isolating a gap within the literature of political action and digital interaction. Using a quantitative research method conducted online, the information was collected as a structured survey among the population of young voters aged between 18-30. The research came up with a positive correlation between the duration of use of social media with political participation, a coefficient of 0.45, and between exposure to political contents and political participation of 0.52. In addition, the engagement level was also found to be enhanced by increasing the frequency of discussing politics over the web (r = 0.35). These facts further bring out the significance role of social media as a major platform of discussions and organization of political activities and events particularly among youths who are increasingly using products of the social media to share information and perform interactions. Based on the study, the knowledge of the way through which social media affects political perceptions and actions in highly polarized electoral settings can be proceeded with. Among these is the consideration of the future research on the nature of technological based activism in the electoral process that would empower the youth political enlightenment of the voting population. Such findings are crucial to the theoretical and practice aspects of the previous government, schools, and political parties in the capacity to understand the youths and organize young citizens to mobilize them.

media in the digital age influences political conversations, attitude construction, polarization, and political activism in the political society. Nevertheless, to assess the effects of social media on the political process and information flow, the qualitative research methodology was adopted in this study, and this required interviewing the respondents and studying the contents of their posts. The information indicates that social media drives individuals to extremism and hate and dictates political language. The findings of the research indicate that fake news and bais have a role in the formation of opinion among the consumers, where a significant number of users could not tell the difference between fake and real news. Findings of this paper further reveal that social media constitutes an important source of both digital activism, culminating to slacktivism, also known as low-effort activism, and political events where they happen. In this regard, the research addresses the gaps in the literature by presenting a more complex and elaborate view of the opportunities and challenges that social media may present to the political world. It also demonstrates how social media can be used to polarize and empower the political participation of people. The conclusion of the paper will provide thoughts and suggestions on possible future studies of the potential of social media to foster polite dialogue and social depolarization.

This study explores women's participation in decision-making within indigenous communities, focusing on the barriers and supportive factors that influence their involvement in governance. By examining several indigenous communities, the research identifies key obstacles such as cultural norms, economic constraints, and gender-based violence, which limit women's roles in decision-making processes. However, the study also highlights the positive impact of education, supportive leadership, and empowerment programs in enhancing women's participation. The findings suggest that while some communities have made significant progress towards gender equality, others continue to face significant challenges. The study calls for more gender-sensitive policies and increased support for women's leadership to foster more inclusive decision-making practices.

This paper looks at social inequality in education provision in Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi in terms of educational inequality between cities and rural settlements. Through the use of a qualitative case study method, the study identifies some of the factors which act as a barrier to access such as a small number of secondary schools, poor teacher qualification, absence of education infrastructure and poverty as well as the absence of educational provision and great levels of drop outs. Information was collected by conducting interviews with stakeholders working locally on schooling but also by direct visitations of school premises. The results indicate a serious problem of the equal educational provision, and the rural students have more difficulties in proceeding with learning as a result of geographical isolation and economic background. The article highlights the importance of specific policy decisions that may help upgrade infrastructure, train the staff, and provide financial assistance to remote inhabitants. Suggestions have been made such as investing in schools infrastructure, providing a reward to those teachers who can work in rural areas, and economic obstacles to a student continuing his/her education.

Recently, the issue of addiction to social media has become topical among adolescents, in particular, the problem of loneliness. This paper concentrates on studying the relationship between loneliness and social media addiction putting into consideration the following demographic (gender, age, and socioeconomic status) and psychological (self-esteem and resilience) factors. It was a cross-sectional survey of validated scales in 400 adolescents. It was demonstrated in the results of Pearson correlation analysis that the loneliness and social media dependency are significantly positively correlated with each other (r = 0.47, p < 0.01). All the data of the multiple regression analysis revealed that loneliness (beta = 0.45, p < 0.001) was certainly the strongest predictor, though females and older adolescents were more dependent. The mediation analysis showed that self-esteem partially mediated this relationship and the moderation analyses showed that resilience moderated the impact of loneliness with the relations to social media dependency. The above results suggest that there is an intervention measure imperative that aims at ensuring resilience and self-esteem to help avert social media dependency among lonely youths.

Mobile phone usage has become an integral part of daily life, influencing various aspects of human interaction, including family relationships. This study examines the impact of mobile phone usage during family gatherings on social interaction quality, emotional bonding, and relationship satisfaction. A mixed-methods approach was used, incorporating descriptive and inferential statistical analyses from a sample of 200 respondents. The findings reveal a strong negative correlation (r = -0.68, p < 0.01) between mobile phone usage and family interaction quality, indicating that higher mobile engagement significantly reduces meaningful communication. Additionally, regression analysis (β = -0.65, p < 0.001) confirms that excessive device use predicts lower family connection. The study also highlights the emotional consequences of mobile distractions, with 42.5% of respondents reporting feelings of annoyance when ignored in favor of a mobile device. A significant difference in relationship satisfaction (p < 0.001) was found between high and low phone users, reinforcing the argument that excessive mobile use disrupts family harmony. This study fills an important gap in existing literature by focusing on family interactions rather than romantic or workplace relationships, offering practical implications for fostering mindful technology use within households. Future research should explore long-term consequences and intervention strategies to mitigate the negative effects of mobile phone distractions on family dynamics.

This study examines the effectiveness of local government decentralization in enhancing public service delivery in the Philippines. Although decentralization is widely regarded as a strategy to improve governance responsiveness and efficiency, its outcomes remain uneven across local government units (LGUs). This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using document analysis of policy frameworks, government reports, audit findings, and academic literature. Through thematic analysis and a comparative perspective, the study identifies key structural challenges shaping decentralization outcomes. The findings show that decentralization has not consistently improved service delivery but instead has amplified disparities between high-capacity and low-capacity LGUs. Successful cases are largely driven by strong local leadership and institutional capacity rather than by the effectiveness of decentralization policy itself. Moreover, increased fiscal autonomy has not always translated into better outcomes due to weak administrative systems, limited accountability mechanisms, and fragmented intergovernmental coordination. The study concludes that decentralization is a capacity-dependent process and highlights the need for institutional strengthening, improved coordination, and performance-based governance to achieve more equitable and effective public service delivery.
