Abstract

The current research aims at exploring how specific leadership behaviors affect shared leadership processes and organizational creativity in firms that serve in the creative industry. Precisely, it compares how transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership styles influence the promotion of collaboration and improvement of innovation at the team level. The first research design was quantitative whereby questionnaires were conducted to a total of 150 employees in the creative industries to obtain data. The results reflected good correlation between team collaboration and innovation outcomes, which attracted importance of team collaboration in the development of innovative culture. In some respects, these researches add value to the current understanding by explaining the effects of the behaviors of an individual leader on the level of creativity in working environments where a business operation involving innovation forms a fundamental business activity. The findings confirm that transformational leadership is useful in facilitating cooperation and creativity in the implementation of a change and the evidence that laissez-faire leadership style is not applicable in creative activities. The results are useful to managers working in creative business and have some specific suggestions concerning how managers can take care of a creative organizational culture and promote an effective knowledge sharing.

Abstract

This study examines the position of mobile banking in improving financial inclusion in Kenya with specific focus on how the adoption of mobile banking impacts on access to financial products, financial behaviors and economic participation in general. The cross-sectional quantitative research design was used, where information was collected on the 450 adult respondents in the urban and rural areas of Kenya. The data was interrogated using descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, regression analysis, and t-tests. The research results show that mobile banking consumers have far more access to savings, credit, and insurance services than non-users. In addition, the greater the adoption of mobile banking, the greater the positive correlation with the enhanced financial behavior, which includes increased saving and borrowing. Demographic characteristics such as age, the income level, and the level of education were identified to have a considerable effect on the adoption of mobile banking, and gender was not found to have a similar effect. The major challenges which were identified to include the security apprehension and lack of awareness were identified as key barriers to adoption. All in all, the findings highlight the potential of mobile banking to advance financial inclusion, and at the same time, should point to the areas in which specific interventions can be used to increase access to mobile financial services by underserved populations.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of digital marketing strategies on consumer purchasing decisions in fashion retail businesses in the post-pandemic era, focusing on identifying which elements of digital strategies significantly affect consumer decision-making. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 150 respondents who had purchased fashion products online in the past year through a Google Form-based questionnaire, with six variables examined: social media content, online advertising, influencer marketing, interactive websites, email marketing, and digital promotions. Multiple linear regression analysis supported by validity and reliability tests revealed that digital marketing strategies significantly influence purchasing decisions (p < 0.01), with digital promotions, social media content, influencer marketing, and online advertising showing significant effects, while interactive websites and email marketing did not. The adjusted R² value of 0.661 indicates that 66.1% of the variation in purchasing decisions is explained by the strategies employed. The study concludes that digital marketing strategies play a crucial role in shaping consumer purchasing behavior in fashion retail, and businesses should prioritize social media, digital promotions, and influencer collaborations to effectively increase purchase conversions.

Abstract

This empirical study examines how professionalism and integrity in policing are developed, questioning the belief that they are primarily shaped through recruitment or bureaucratic promotion. Using a quantitative design with a survey of 125 officers in Takalar, South Sulawesi, it evaluates the behavioural effects of four key human resource strategies: training, ethical guidance, career systems, and recruitment mechanisms. The findings reveal that programs combining learning and moral development produce stronger behavioural outcomes than formal structural tools. Training and ethical coaching serve as core mechanisms that shape cognitive, emotional, and moral orientations in officers, proving more effective than administrative approaches. Meanwhile, career management and recruitment structures function more as symbolic systems, emphasizing procedures over practical performance improvement. This study contributes by offering empirical clarity that professionalism and integrity are not mere institutional constructs but are cultivated through continuous and ethically grounded developmental practices. Reforms that ignore these formative processes risk becoming superficial and ineffective. Sustainable integrity, therefore, must stem from consistent moral training and value-based leadership development rather than bureaucratic routines or structural displays.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of agile management practices on organizational efficiency and employee productivity in emerging economies, focusing on technology, manufacturing, and services sectors. Data were collected from 200 organizations, including responses from 150 managers and 50 employees, and analyzed using a quantitative approach with regression techniques to examine the relationship between agile practices, efficiency, and productivity. The results show that agile practices significantly improve organizational efficiency (β = 0.56, p < 0.01) and employee productivity (β = 0.45, p < 0.01), with technology firms achieving the greatest benefits, manufacturing firms reporting lower adoption and fewer outcomes, and service organizations demonstrating moderate improvements. These findings highlight that while agile management enhances efficiency and productivity overall, its effectiveness varies across sectors, indicating that organizations in emerging economies should adapt agile frameworks to industry-specific conditions to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

This study examines the economic impact of Project Risk Management on time performance and cost efficiency in medium-scale construction projects in Indonesia. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 123 construction professionals involved in projects with contract values ranging from IDR 10 to 100 billion. Project Risk Management was measured through indicators of risk identification, analysis, response planning, and monitoring, while project performance was assessed using time deviation and cost overrun measures. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The results demonstrate that Project Risk Management has a statistically significant and negative effect on both project delay and cost overrun, indicating that stronger risk governance contributes to greater schedule stability and improved budget performance. The findings further show that although the level of risk management implementation is moderate, time delays and cost overruns remain prevalent across projects, reflecting the need for deeper institutionalization of risk practices. This study contributes to the construction management literature by extending empirical evidence on risk governance to medium-scale projects in an emerging economy context. The findings imply that strengthening organizational risk management capacity is essential for enhancing project reliability, reducing economic inefficiencies, and supporting sustainable infrastructure development.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of government subsidies in promoting green investments in Indonesia’s renewable energy sector. With the goal of achieving a 23 percent renewable energy mix by 2025, Indonesia has implemented various fiscal policies, including subsidies, tax incentives, and feed-in tariffs to encourage investment in green energy. A qualitative methodology was adopted, relying on secondary data analysis from government reports and international institutions. The findings indicate that while subsidies have encouraged investment in renewable energy, their effectiveness is limited by the ongoing reliance on fossil fuel subsidies and institutional barriers such as fragmented governance and regulatory uncertainty. The study suggests that shifting fiscal support from fossil fuels to renewable energy, implementing performance-based subsidy programs, and improving governance structures could significantly enhance the effectiveness of subsidies. The main contribution of this research is its comprehensive assessment of Indonesia’s subsidy landscape and its implications for the country's energy transition. This study highlights the need for coordinated, long-term policy strategies to align fiscal policies with sustainability goals and suggests avenues for future research, including evaluating the socio-economic impacts of subsidy reforms.

Abstract

This study explores the implications of subsidy reforms on green investments in Indonesia's renewable energy market, with a focus on understanding how changes in subsidy structures can support the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative data analysis on investment trends and subsidy allocation, along with qualitative interviews with key stakeholders. The findings reveal that while fossil fuel subsidies have been gradually reduced, the impact on renewable energy investments has been modest, particularly in emerging sectors like solar and wind. Geothermal and hydropower sectors received the majority of the subsidies, despite the higher potential for solar and wind. The study also finds that political resistance and the lack of clear policy stability hinder the effective implementation of subsidy reforms. Social support programs have been introduced but have not fully mitigated the regressive impacts of higher energy prices. The results suggest that more aggressive and targeted financial incentives are needed to boost green investments, alongside comprehensive long-term policy reforms. The study contributes to the understanding of subsidy reforms in the context of energy transition and highlights areas for further research, including the role of carbon pricing mechanisms and the effectiveness of social programs in promoting energy justice.

Abstract

This study examines how semiotic citizenship is enacted within multilingual public spaces and how language, visibility, and emotion shape experiences of belonging in the urban environment. It focuses on how individuals negotiate recognition and participation through linguistic and visual signs distributed across the city’s semiotic landscape. The research was conducted in three contrasting urban locations a traditional market, a transportation terminal, and a municipal plaza chosen for their different semiotic ecologies and levels of institutional regulation. Using a qualitative ethnographic design grounded in semiotic landscape analysis, data were collected through visual documentation, participant observation, and semi-structured interviews with twenty-five participants, including traders, migrants, residents, and municipal officers. Multimodal discourse analysis and thematic coding were employed to interpret how signs operate as symbolic resources of citizenship. The findings show that multilingual signage functions as a semiotic performance of belonging where linguistic hierarchies, creative hybridity, and emotional attachment intersect. While formal spaces reinforce institutional authority through standardized languages, informal areas enable vernacular and hybrid expressions that serve as grassroots visibility. Participants associated the public presence of their languages with emotional recognition, shared identity, and cultural memory. Overall, semiotic citizenship emerges as an affective and participatory practice, continuously written into the multilingual textures of everyday urban life.
