Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer + organic fertilizer formulation on the growth and yield components of hybrid corn variety BISI 2 in swampy land. To obtain the NPK fertilizer + organic fertilizer formulation that provides the best growth and yield components of hybrid corn variety BISI 2 in swampy land. This study was conducted from February to August 2025 in Banyu Hirang Village, Gambut District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The experimental design used was a single factor Randomized Block Design (RAK). The factors used were the NPK fertilizer + organic fertilizer (K) formulation with 4 treatment levels, namely k1 = 100% NPK fertilizer, k2 = 75% NPK fertilizer + organic fertilizer, k3 = 50% NPK fertilizer + organic fertilizer, k4 = 25% NPK fertilizer + organic fertilizer. The treatment was repeated 6 times to obtain 24 experimental units. Each experimental unit was filled by 14 plants so that a total of 336 plants were obtained. The results of the study showed that the NPK fertilizer formulation had a significant and very significant effect on the variables of plant height at 3, 4, 6 and 7 WAP, number of leaves at 2, 4, 5 and 6 WAP, stem diameter at 4, 5, 6 and 7 WAP, flower emergence time, cob length, number of seeds per row and the 100% NPK fertilizer formulation produced relatively better growth and yield components compared to other treatments.

Abstract

Cabai rawit Hiyung sebagai varietas lokal unggul Kalimantan Selatan yang memiliki tingkat kepedasan sangat tinggi masih menghadapi kendala penurunan produktivitas akibat rendahnya kesuburan tanah Ultisol, sehingga pemanfaatan kompos Takakura berpotensi menjadi solusi untuk memperbaiki kualitas tanah dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan takaran yang terbaik pemberian kompos Takakura terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit Hiyung pada tanah Ultisol. Penelitian didesain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal yang diuji adalah beberapa takaran kompos Takakura terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan (190 g, 380 g, 570 g, dan 760 g). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali ulangan sehingga berjumlah 20 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sehingga keseluruhan terdapat 60 tanaman. Peubah yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter batang (mm), jumlah cabang, umur pertama berbunga, berat buah per tanaman, dan jumlah buah per tanaman. Pemberian kompos Takakura berpengaruh nyata terhadap peubah tinggi tanaman 14 HST, berat buah per tanaman, dan jumlah buah per tanaman serta berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap peubah tinggi tanaman 28 HST, diameter batang 14 HST, dan jumlah cabang 14 HST. Pemberian kompos Takakura perlakuan t2 = 380 g menunjukkan hasil lebih tinggi pada peubah tinggi tanaman (27,45 cm) umur 28 HST. Perlakuan t3 = 570 g memberikan hasil lebih tinggi pada umur 14 HST dengan diameter batang (2,34 mm) dan jumlah cabang memberikan hasil tertinggi (2,00) pada umur 14 HST.  Fase generatif, hasil lebih tinggi terdapat dalam perlakuan t1 = 190 g memberikan hasil berat buah per tanaman (45,40 g), serta hasil lebih tinggi pada jumlah buah  per  tanaman  (49,75  buah). keunggulan  utama  cabai  rawit  Hiyung  adalah  tingkat kepedasannya yang sangat tinggi. Kandungan kapsaisin cabai ini mencapai 699,87 ppm atau setara dengan 10.498,05 SHU.
