Journal of Transdisciplinary Studies in Religion and Education adalah jurnal ilmiah peer-reviewed yang mempublikasikan hasil penelitian, kajian konseptual, dan studi kritis di bidang pendidikan agama dengan pendekatan lintas dan transdisipliner. Jurnal ini bertujuan menjadi forum akademik bagi para peneliti, pendidik, dan praktisi untuk mengembangkan wacana ilmiah yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keagamaan dengan berbagai disiplin ilmu, termasuk ilmu sosial, humaniora, sains, teknologi, dan seni. JTSRE memfasilitasi pertukaran ide yang bersifat inovatif dan konstruktif dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan agama di era global yang kompleks dan dinamis. Artikel yang dipublikasikan dapat berupa hasil penelitian empiris, tinjauan pustaka yang komprehensif, maupun gagasan konseptual yang memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan teori, praktik, dan kebijakan pendidikan agama. Dengan cakupan internasional, JTSRE berkomitmen pada standar etika publikasi ilmiah yang tinggi, melalui proses penelaahan sejawat (double-blind peer review) dan keterbukaan akses (open access) agar hasil penelitian dapat diakses secara luas untuk kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan peradaban.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics and challenges of instilling the value of religious moderation through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia. The method employed is library research, incorporating content analysis of various relevant primary and secondary sources. The results show that the values ​​of moderation, national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and respect for tradition have been integrated into the PAI curriculum, but its implementation still faces obstacles such as the dominance of cognitive approaches, limited teacher competency, and external environmental influences. Therefore, a comprehensive strategy is needed, including strengthening teacher capacity, promoting digital literacy, and fostering collaboration between stakeholders, so that PAI can shape a generation that is religious, tolerant, and inclusive

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the moral formation of adolescents through Pierre Bourdieu's habitus theory from the perspective of Islamic Educational Psychology. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, which examines the concepts of habitus, capital, and domain according to Bourdieu as well as Islamic educational literature on value habituation, role models, and supervision (muroqabah). The results show that the moral formation of adolescents occurs through repeated social interactions until they are internalized within them. If adolescents' habitus is formed by an environment that is permissive of violence and negative content, deviant behavior is more likely to emerge. Conversely, an Islamic habitus based on faith, noble morals, and the habituation of worship can strengthen adolescents' moral control and encourage the creation of positive behavior. Thus, the integration of habitus theory with the perspective of Islamic Educational Psychology can provide a comprehensive framework for formulating strategies for adolescent moral education in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasingly fading moral education in modern society, which has led to many deviations in values. Efforts to purify it can be carried out by referring to Islamic teachings, especially the thoughts of Imam Al-Ghazali. The focus of this research is (1) the values ​​of character education in the book Bidayatul Hidayah and (2) the concept of character education according to Imam Al-Ghazali and its relevance to character education in Indonesia. The method used is a literature study with the primary source of the book Bidayatul Hidayah and secondary sources in the form of related literature. The results of the study indicate that character education, according to Imam Al-Ghazali, emphasizes the formation of both physical and spiritual personality so that humans obey God. This concept is relevant to character education in Indonesia because it covers aspects of relationships with God, oneself, and society comprehensively.

Abstract

MI Miftahul Ulum is an elementary madrasah that prioritizes tahfidz education with the target of memorizing Juz ‘Amma of the Qur'an for each graduate. Teaching Qur’an memorization is a challenge that requires the right method, so this study examines the application of the Kitabah method by tartil teachers at MI Miftahul Ulum Kedungkampil, along with the factors that support and hinder the achievement of student memorization targets. The main objectives are: 1) To reveal the application of the Kitabah method to improve Juz ‘Amma memorization; 2) To identify the supporting and hindering factors. This qualitative study collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed the data through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the application of the Kitabah method is effective in improving memorization of Juz 'Amma of the Qur'an. The main supporting factors are student motivation and teacher guidance, while the obstacles include differences in student character and background, limited memorization time, and minimal guidance at home. In conclusion, the Kitabah method is effective in strengthening Al-Qur'an memorization skills, although external obstacles need to be overcome to optimize tahfidz learning in madrasah ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This article examines national criticism of the crisis of democracy and social injustice in Indonesia through the lens of Pancasila philosophy from the perspective of Islamic education. The purpose of this study is to reaffirm the relevance of Islamic education as a moral force in building a civilized and normative approach, analyzing the thoughts of key figures as well as literature related to democracy, Pancasila, and Islamic education. The findings indicate that the democratic crisis is characterized by constitutional distortions and elite domination, while social injustice arises from structural inequality. Islamic education plays a crucial role in instilling the values of justice and social responsibility, thereby serving as a strategic foundation for realizing a just and dignified society.
