Abstract

Background. High GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) growth can attract investor interest, stimulate investment, and encourage infrastructure development, leading to increased connectivity and economic efficiency. Furthermore, strong GRDP growth can create additional labor demand, potentially reducing poverty and raising income levels. Purpose. This research aims to examine the factors influencing GRDP in Indonesia, specifically focusing on foreign direct investment (FDI), wage levels, the tourism industry, and regional original income (PAD), using data from 2020 to 2022. Method. The study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing panel data obtained from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2020 to 2022. Multiple Linear Regression analysis is applied to assess the relationship between GRDP and the selected independent variables: FDI, wage levels, tourism, and PAD. Results. The results indicate that FDI has a significant positive effect on GRDP, with a t-value of 6.264, which is greater than the critical value of 1.66196. Conversely, wage levels and the tourism industry do not show a significant impact on GRDP, with respective probability values of 0.39 and 0.254, both below the threshold. Meanwhile, PAD has a significant positive effect on GRDP, with a t-value of 4.904, also exceeding the critical value of 1.66196. Conclusion. This study concludes that FDI and regional original income (PAD) are significant contributors to GRDP growth in Indonesia, while wage levels and the tourism sector do not have a notable impact on regional economic performance during the observed period.

Abstract

Background: The integration of 21st-century skills into educational systems is crucial for preparing students for the global era. Modern Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia face the challenge of balancing traditional Islamic education with contemporary skill development. Purpose: This study aims to examine the implementation of 21st-century skills development in modern pesantren, identify challenges, and explore effective strategies for integration. Method: A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving three modern pesantren in Java. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, document analysis, and focus group discussions. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. Results: Modern pesantren have implemented various programs to develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy skills. However, they face challenges including limited resources, resistance to change, and concerns about preserving traditional values. Effective strategies identified include integrated curriculum development, teacher training, external partnerships, mentoring programs, and judicious use of technology. Conclusion: Modern pesantren demonstrate significant potential in integrating 21st-century skills while maintaining their core Islamic values. The study recommends collaborative efforts among pesantren, government, researchers, and the community to support this educational transformation and enhance the relevance of pesantren education in the global era.

Abstract

Background. Richard Bell, a prominent English orientalist, applied historical, linguistic, and critical analysis to study the Qur'an in its historical and cultural contexts. However, his approach faced rejection from Muslim scholars, who argue that Bell's method fails to capture the Qur'an's true meaning as divine revelation. Purpose. This study examines the rejection of Richard Bell's approach by Muslim scholars and scientists, aiming to understand the key arguments behind their opposition and evaluate its alignment with Islamic principles of Qur'anic interpretation. Method. A qualitative approach is used, employing document analysis to review literature on Bell's works and methods, as well as texts outlining the views of Muslim scholars on Qur'anic interpretation. The analysis focuses on identifying the points of rejection and evaluating the reasoning behind them. Results Muslim scholars reject Bell's approach because they believe it lacks respect for the Qur'an as divine revelation. They argue that his focus on historical criticism overlooks the context of revelation and Prophet Muhammad's explanations. They see the Qur'an as a unified whole and question the applicability of Western academic methods to understanding religious texts. Ultimately, they find Bell's approach incompatible with Islamic principles of interpretation. Conclusion. Muslim scholars reject Richard Bell's historical and critical methods, asserting that these approaches are insufficient to grasp the true meaning of the Qur'an as a sacred text.

Abstract

Background. Santri are the main object in the learning process of the yellow book. The success of the yellow book education cannot be separated from the aspect of the ability of the students to read and understand the book. One of the yellow books that are widely studied in all pesantren is the book of Fathul Qarib. Purpuse. This study seeks to trace developments in learning to read and understand the yellow book with a mathematical model approach. Mathematical models are a branch of mathematics that attempts to photograph and translate a phonomene in life into a representation of mathematical equations that describe this phenomenon. Method. This research is a combination of fieldwork and literature study. This research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al Munawwir Krapyak Komplek Q in Krapyak Hamlet, Panggung Harjo Village, Sewon District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province. The object of this research is the students of Al Munawwir Krapyak Islamic Boarding School Komplek Q Awwal Class, Tsani and Tsalis who are studying the book of Fathul Qarib. Results. This research results that the mathematical model of the development of the students' ability to read the Fathul Qarib book at the Al-Munawwir Q Krapyak Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta is: K (t) = 55e^((0.1447) t) and based on parameter estimates from year 0 of 55, Year 1 is 63.563, year 2 is 73.459, and year 3 is 84.897. Conclusion. This means that the development of the students' ability in reading the book Fathul Qarib will continue to increase until the students can really master and understand the book.

Abstract

Background. Warehouse management is crucial for manufacturing companies to ensure production runs smoothly and demand is met efficiently. Poor warehouse management can lead to several issues, such as dirty and dusty conditions, inconsistent goods recording, and suboptimal spare parts layouts. These problems can hinder operational efficiency and disrupt production. Purpuse. This research aims to address inefficiencies in the spare parts warehouse management at PT Sari Warna Asli V Kudus. Specifically, the study seeks to identify the root causes of these issues using fishbone analysis and propose practical solutions to improve the warehouse's operational efficiency. Method. The study was conducted as part of a student internship from February to April 2024 at PT Sari Warna Asli V Kudus. It involved a preliminary review, problem identification, data collection from primary and secondary sources, and the application of fishbone analysis. The process included gathering data, creating a causal factor diagram, identifying the root causes, and recommending solutions. Results. The research found that the main problems in the warehouse included the lack of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for managing warehouse activities such as receiving and sending goods, cleanliness, regular inspections, and stock management. These gaps contributed to the inefficiencies in the warehouse operations. Conclusion. To improve warehouse management at PT Sari Warna Asli V Kudus, the study recommends the implementation of consistent SOPs, regular inspections, and monthly stocktaking. Additionally, warehouse staff should receive training to enhance their skills and knowledge. These measures are expected to significantly improve warehouse conditions and overall operational efficiency.
