Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the effectiveness of using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME)towards students’ mathematics result learning at the eight students’ of  SMP Negeri 7 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017. In this research, the researcher used quasy experimental research method. The population were all of the eight students of  SMPNegeri7Mataram. the researcher divided into two classes. A class is as control group with 45 number of the students.and B class is as experimental group with 45 number of the students. To collect the data,  the researcher used posttest esay that had been tested the validity and realablity. Based on the result of analysis, the data of posttest was obtained from the students’ score  of expereimental group was 78,58 and control group was 70,04. The data was analyzed by using t-test with significant level 5%. T-test was 2,86 and t-table was 1,99 with degree of freedom (df) = 88. The result of the data showed that  t-test was higher than t-table. It means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Therefore, the researcher can concluded that the effectiveness of using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME)towards students’ mathematics result learning was effective at the eight students’ of  SMP Negeri 7 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

low student learning outcomes and lack of activity due to the students' learning in the learning process is more focused only on the teacher. Teachers do not fully engage students in learning. Students are more dominant as a receiver only so that students tend to passive learning. This will result in mathematics boring and unpleasant. The implication of activity and student learning was low. So that the learning process goes well it needs a setrategi active learning that engages students in the learning process that is expected to increase the activity and student learning outcomes. Therefore, this study was conducted to improve learning outcomes math class VII MTs Ar-rusydiny through the implementation of learning model of problem-basedinstruction.This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. An instrument which is used mainly obserpasi and test sheets. From the results of research in proleh that the number of students in the activity scores 2 sisklus always increase. In the first cycle of activity percentage is 56.41% with the active category, while in the second cycle the percentage of student activity is 69, 23% to the category of active while classical completeness obtained 60% in the first cycle and 90% in the II.Hal cycle already addressed achievement research indicator that the set, so it can be concluded that through the implementation of learning model of problem-based instruction can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes kelasVII MTs Ar-rusydiny the school year 2016/2017

Abstract

The aim of this development research is producing mathematical logic module with the sketch of ELPSA to increase students’ critical thinking ability and to know quality of module according to aspects of validity, and aspects of practicality.The method that use in this research is R&D (Research and Development) by the model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation).The subject of this research is developing module with the sketch of ELPSA in mathematical logic.The instrument that use to measure quality of this developing module  are questionnaire sheet for aspects of validity, teachers’ evaluation sheet for aspects of practically, students’ questionnaire responses, and achievement test to know students’ critical thinking ability.According to assessment of validator matter experts and media experts, this module is already valid which percentage scores are respectively 88.9% and 86.7% in the excellent category.The qualityof the module meets practically based teacher evaluation questionnaire with a percentage score is 78% in well category. As a result, the module is said to be practical.Students’ responses to the module are obtained by questionnaire which the average score is 44.99 in excellent category.As for knowing students’ critical thinking ability are based on the result of students’ pretest in XI grade and students’ post-test in X grade of MA NW Sepit who get average scores 54.3 and 91.2 with the percentage of completeness of 95.2% in greatly increased category.As a sequence, this research is showing the module that is developing which is able to use in learning process that use KTSP or 2013 curriculums. The quality of module reached criteria the quality of module and can improve students’ critical thinking ability in mathematical logic.
