Abstract

Behavior is an organism's response to internal and external stimuli. By definition, behavior is an action performed by a living being in reaction to a stimulus. A consistent pattern of response to specific stimuli is categorized as behavior. An animal's ability to survive is reflected in these behavioral patterns. Each animal species has a unique way of acting, corresponding to their anatomical structure. Therefore, it is crucial to study animal behavior patterns in depth, given their critical role in maintaining ecosystem sustainability and balance. This research aims to investigate how the provision of stimuli to animals generates responses in the form of behavioral patterns towards their environment. By writing this research, it is hoped that the general public can understand more about animal behavior patterns. This research method is a literature review or literature review through several research articles, this review is done by searching from a database in the form of Google Scholar and obtaining 5 research articles.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and validate a biology learning booklet that integrates local wisdom on the topics of Environmental Change and Environmental Conservation for 10th-grade high school students in Phase E. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with validation through Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The booklet was developed by integrating local wisdom values and environmental issues in Padang City. Validation was conducted on three main components: material, construction, and language. The validation results show that the booklet has an average validity score of 3.3, which falls into the valid category. This booklet is designed to develop students' problem-solving skills through integrated learning questions and activities. The study concludes that the developed booklet is valid and has the potential to enhance the effectiveness of contextual and meaningful biology learning by integrating local wisdom. It is recommended to conduct further research on the practicality and effectiveness of the booklet in classroom learning implementation.

Abstract

Porpuse this study to produce Flippbook media based on augmented reality for writing skill with materials that are adjusted to the age of kindergarten namely the Solar System.  This Method research is a research and development (RnD). The model uses the Four-D (4-D) model which consists of four stages of development, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. Subject this research is children at TK ABA 1, 32 and 42 Banjarmasin. The instruments used are observation, expert and media expert validation checklists of skala likert and documentation. The results of this study state that the development of flipbook-based augmented reality media can be developed as a learning media aid for writing for children. The implication of this research is that it can be applied as a learning medium for children age 5-6 years at TK ABA 1,32 and 42 Banjarmasin in writing skills so that they can improve. The conclusion of this study is that the development of flipbook-based augmented reality media can build creativity, imagination and writing skills for children. Several unique and interesting images help children improve their writing skills.

Abstract

Abelmoschus esculentus L., commonly known as okra, is a flowering plant belonging to the Malvaceae family. Okra is a versatile plant due to the various uses of its fresh leaves, buds, flowers, pods, stems, and seeds. Okra is a popular health food because of its high content of fiber, vitamin C, and folate, as well as being a good source of calcium and potassium. Additionally, this plant has been used medicinally in the treatment of several disorders, demonstrating anti-cancer, antimicrobial, hypoglycemic, and anti-ulcer activities. Okra is a vegetable crop with diverse nutritional qualities and potential health benefits. This plant is also known to be high in antioxidants. The purpose of this research is to investigate bioactivities such as antioxidant, anti-cancer, antibacterial, and antidiabetic activities, as well as to determine the benefits of okra.

Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of problem-based learning (PBL) in enhancing student learning outcomes in Green Chemistry at MAS MTI Batang Kabung, Padang City. The research addresses the prevalent use of conventional teaching methods, which have resulted in low student engagement and academic performance. A classroom action research design, based on Kemmis and McTaggart's model, was employed. The study population comprised Grade X Phase E students from the 2023/2024 academic year, with a sample drawn from classes X.1 and X.2. Data collection methods included observation, questionnaires, documentation, and field notes. Analysis of learning outcomes utilized percentage techniques and t-tests. The implementation of PBL showed significant improvement in student learning outcomes. Average scores increased from 71.61% in the first cycle to 86.96% in the second cycle. These results demonstrate that PBL effectively enhances student performance in Green Chemistry education at MAS MTI Batang Kabung. This research contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting the use of active learning strategies in chemistry education, particularly in the Indonesian context. The findings suggest that wider adoption of PBL could lead to improved educational outcomes in similar settings.
