Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Sistem Informasi (JIKSI) is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to publishing multidisciplinary issues in computer science, information systems, and technology innovation both in Indonesia and around the world. JIKSI is a triannual, open access, peer-reviewed, and international e-journal, published in Indonesia. We accept unpublished, high quality, and original research manuscripts in English, resulting primarily from quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methodologies related to or associated with computer science, information systems, and technology applications. JIKSI is published three times per year by the Institute of Information Technology and Social Science (IITSS). All research articles appearing in JIKSI have undergone a thoroughly blind peer-review.

Abstract

Dalam Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, teknologi informasi telah menjadi tulang punggung kehidupan modern, memberikan akses tak terbatas ke informasi dan layanan. Namun, bersamaan dengan manfaatnya, muncul pula permasalahan etika yang signifikan, terutama terkait dengan penggunaan cookie dan spyware. Cookie, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna, sering kali memunculkan pertanyaan tentang privasi dan kontrol data. Di sisi lain, spyware, yang secara diam-diam mengumpulkan informasi tanpa izin pengguna, menimbulkan ancaman serius terhadap privasi dan keamanan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi permasalahan etika yang terkait dengan cookie dan spyware dalam konteks teknologi informasi, dengan menganalisis studi literatur yang relevan. Dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek seperti privasi, transparansi, dan kontrol pengguna, kami mengidentifikasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi serta implikasi hukum dan regulasi yang berkaitan. Studi literatur ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga dalam mengembangkan kerangka kerja etis dan kebijakan yang efektif dalam menghadapi permasalahan ini di masa depan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan artikel ini dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan penyelesaian permasalahan etika pada teknologi informasi terkait cookie dan spyware.

Abstract

The Employee Complaint System Website for the IT Department of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Division III Palembang is an innovative platform aimed at facilitating the reporting and resolution of issues related to IT services at PT KAI Division III Palembang. Through this website, employees have easy and quick access to report technical or non-technical issues they encounter in using the company's IT systems. The system is designed to expedite response and resolution to each complaint, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen the relationship between the IT department and end-users. Thus, this website is expected to improve the overall quality of IT services at PT KAI Division III Palembang.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has provided significant benefits for communication, education, and business operations. However, it also introduces serious security and ethical challenges, particularly related to the spread of viruses and malware. This study aims to examine the ethical problems and impacts of virus and malware attacks through a comprehensive literature review. The findings reveal that unethical use of technology, negligence in security practices, and cybercrime motives are major contributing factors to malware proliferation. Ethical awareness, combined with strict cybersecurity policies and user education, is essential in mitigating these risks. This paper contributes to the discourse on digital ethics by emphasizing the shared moral responsibility of users, developers, and organizations in maintaining information integrity and security.

Abstract

Software piracy has emerged as a critical ethical concern in the digital era, challenging the principles of intellectual property and innovation. This study aims to explore the ethical dimensions of software piracy and analyze its implications for copyright holders, consumers, and society. Utilizing a systematic literature review, this paper investigates legal frameworks, moral consequences, and ethical dilemmas associated with software piracy. Findings reveal that piracy undermines both the moral and economic rights of creators, leading to extensive financial losses and heightened cybersecurity risks. The study emphasizes the need for ethical education, stronger legal enforcement, and digital literacy initiatives to mitigate software piracy. This paper contributes to the understanding of ethical issues in digital innovation and proposes strategies to enhance compliance and integrity in software usage.

Abstract

Management constitutes a structured means of organizing, controlling, and regulating human resources to accomplish organizational objectives. It is indispensable for both personal and business purposes. When conducted systematically, management enables businesses to expand effectively and to adopt sound policies. In the digital era, however, the challenges of change management have become increasingly complex as advances in information and communication technology permeate nearly all aspects of human life. Consequently, it is necessary to identify the challenges and opportunities of change management in digital contexts and to adopt updated conceptual approaches grounded in technological progress. This study provides a qualitative literature review that synthesizes contemporary perspectives on information-technology–driven management practices. The findings aim to assist readers in understanding management concepts in information technology and their implications for organizational transformation and competitive performance.

Abstract

E-business represents a business approach that leverages hardware, software, network, and human resources to conduct business interactions, transactions, and operations across organizations without time and space limitations. E-commerce is a subset of e-business that focuses on commercial transactions, while e-business encompasses broader elements such as business partnerships, customer services, and recruitment processes. The advancement of information technology provides convenience in daily business operations; however, barriers remain, including trust in digital systems, security risks, and financial constraints. This paper aims to provide foundational understanding for e-commerce entrepreneurs to develop their business through effective collaboration among companies and individuals. This study also emphasizes the role of information systems, collaborative networks, and organizational integration in optimizing e-business efficiency within the framework of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

This article aims to empirically describe change management in the digital era from the perspective of organizational opportunities and challenges. The method employed is a literature study using a qualitative approach. The researcher collected relevant scientific articles from ScienceDirect and Google Scholar using the keywords change management, digital era, challenges, and opportunities to support the conceptual analysis. The findings indicate that factors influencing change include knowledge, skills, trust among organizational members, and the organizational environment. The challenges in implementing change generally stem from resistance, which can be categorized into individual and organizational resistance. Individual resistance includes habits, the need for security, economic factors, fear of the unknown, and perception. Overall, this study emphasizes that managing change in the digital era requires adaptability, strategic use of information technology, and leadership capable of aligning organizational transformation with digital opportunities.

Abstract

A dashboard is an information display that can present data in a visual form. Few and Eckerson (2006) defined the information on the Dashboard system not only by presenting data but also by combining it with visual displays, so that the information presented is easier to capture the intent and results. However, this system has not been used optimally by agencies that require data processing with a graphical visual display. This is what lies behind the design of this system as an information system that can be used by the Regional Secretariat of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency to be able to check and monitor staffing data within the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency Regional Secretariat. The system development method used is FAST (Framework for the Application of System Thinking). The results show that this system works well and can be used as an integrated information system that can visually and comprehensively present data to executives as decision makers and make it easier for employees to input and process existing data. In addition, the design of this dashboard system is considered more ergonomic, responsive, interactive, and accurate in practice.

Abstract

Plagiarism in the field of education has become an increasingly concerning issue, particularly with the rapid advancement of information technology. This research presents a comprehensive literature review that examines the ethical problems arising from plagiarism in the context of information technology. It discusses the definition of plagiarism, various levels of plagiarism, the role of information technology in facilitating such misconduct, and its impact on academic integrity. In addition, this study explores the effectiveness of widely used plagiarism detection tools and the preventive strategies that educational institutions can adopt. Through this approach, the study provides an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of plagiarism in education and outlines efforts that can be taken to minimize such unethical practices. The conclusions derived from this review are expected to offer practical guidance for educational institutions, lecturers, and students in addressing ethical challenges related to information technology and fostering honorable academic practices.

Abstract

Proper management of goods will make it easier for us to manage the assets owned by an organization. By utilizing existing technology, the management of tools/goods will be easier to do and of course will be more professional. Thus, one will be able to avoid waste resulting from the loss of assets owned due to poor management of the equipment/goods. Currently, the Palembang City Communication and Information Office is already using a digital inventory of goods. However, the system is still used by the E-Government Sector and has not been fully implemented in one application by all fields at the Palembang City Communications and Information Office. Thus, this research is expected to produce an application that can be used as a whole by all fields in the Palembang City Communications and Information Office, so that the equipment and goods at the Palembang City Communications and Information Office can be monitored in a more professional and accountable manner
