Immortalis Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies is a peer-reviewed open-access journal. Abstract

The digital era has brought artificial intelligence (AI) as a significant innovation that is transforming the way students learn in higher educa-tion. This study aims to examine the benefits, challenges, and strategies for utilizing AI in higher education through a systematic literature review using the PRISMA method. The analysis results show that AI can improve the accessibility and quality of learning through person-alized materials, automated evaluation, and technology-based interactive learning support such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and augmented reality. The implementation of AI also encourages better time management, increases student motivation to learn, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving skills. However, the use of AI poses serious challenges such as the risk of dependency, decreased critical thinking skills, data privacy issues, and the potential for plagiarism. Therefore, a balanced approach is needed between the use of technology and the strengthening of ethical values, including the development of regulations, increasing digital literacy, and training educators to optimize the wise use of AI. The conclusion of this study confirms that AI, when properly integrated, not only strengthens the effectiveness of learning but also prepares students to become adaptive, creative, and ethical graduates in facing the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

Field practice is an important component of nursing education that allows students to apply theory in real clinical situations. However, various ethical violations often occur during this period, raising concerns for the quality of education and patient safety. This study aims to identify the types of ethical violations committed by nursing students, analyze the causative factors, and formulate effective prevention strategies. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 30 nursing students, 15 clinical supervisors, and 10 heads of rooms from various hospitals in the East Java region. The results showed that the most frequent ethical violations included violations of patient privacy (78%), dishonesty in documentation (65%), and violations of safety procedures (52%). The main causative factors included lack of understanding of ethics, academic pressure, and lack of supervision. Recommended prevention strategies include strengthening ethics education, improving supervision systems, and developing comprehensive ethics guidelines.

Abstract

This study examines financial innovation strategies designed to enhance the sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the era of economic digitalization. The rapid development of digital technologies such as big data analytics, blockchain, and real-time financial monitoring has transformed the landscape of financial management for entrepreneurs. These innovations provide MSMEs with advanced tools to improve efficiency, optimize decision-making, and respond swiftly to market dynamics. Through digital financial transformation, MSMEs gain broader access to financial information, enabling the formulation of data-driven and adaptive business strategies. However, this transformation also introduces significant challenges, including limited digital literacy, data privacy concerns, cybersecurity risks, and high implementation costs that may hinder widespread adoption among MSMEs. While blockchain technology offers transparency and accountability in financial transactions, its utilization remains minimal due to regulatory uncertainty and cost barriers. The study finds that gradual adoption and context-based implementation of digital financial tools can mitigate risks and support sustainable business growth. To ensure long-term sustainability, MSMEs are encouraged to adopt a phased strategy for financial innovation beginning with automation of basic financial processes and progressing toward integrated digital ecosystems. Ultimately, financial innovation not only strengthens profitability and operational resilience but also fosters transparency, stakeholder trust, and competitiveness. In a broader perspective, it contributes to building a more inclusive, adaptive, and innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem in the digital economy era.
