Abstract

The purpose of writing is to determine the potential of West Java Millennial Farmers in Boosting the National Economy through the Export of Plantation Products. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and document studies. Then analyzed using the opinion of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). The results showed that West Java millennial farmers had a contribution to IDR. 163.335.866.450 (5.89%) of the total export of IDR. 2,768,897,950,950 in boosting the national economy through the export of coffee plantation products, coconut, and their derivatives as well as palm sugar. With current technological developments, the millennial generation can be adaptive to technological developments to be implemented in the agricultural sector, so that the potential of West Java millennial farmers can be developed through technical guidance on cultivation, harvesting, post-harvest, and marketing of plantation products by utilizing digital information technology. In the implementation of the millennial farmer program in West Java, it should be preceded by more intensive socialization by the implementing team and other stakeholders so that it is understood and supported by various levels of society that its implementation is efficient in the use of resources that are factors of production and more effectively achieves the target of increasing income

Abstract

Certified superior coffee seeds are difficult for farmers to obtain, even though certified superior seeds are a key factor in increasing productivity. This study aims to explore the impact of certified high-yielding seed assistance to coffee farmer groups to increase their income. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The study population was all coffee farmers in West Java who received coffee seed assistance as many as six hundred and sixty farmer groups, and the sample was determined by sixty-six farmer groups from thirteen districts. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis using triangulation. The increase in coffee farmers' income is obtained from production sold in the form of green beans, resulting from the implementation of cultivation techniques in accordance with technical operational standards, technical guidance of officers, and the use of certified superior seeds. The use of certified superior seeds to coffee farmers can be replicated into a stimulant assistance model for empowering farmers to increase income from increasing coffee production and seed entrepreneurship. The impact of seed assistance is not only on increasing farmers' income, but also on improving hatchery implementation skills and increasing their capacity to become seed producers and suppliers of wider community needs.

Abstract

Superior seeds are certified as one of the determinants of increasing productivity. Farmer behaviour is also one of the keys to increasing productivity. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subject of this study was 11 farmer groups in 8 districts. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observation of tobacco farmers in several major tobacco-producing regions and data analysis using triangulation. The seeds of the Kubangsari variety had high production and the largest percentage yield compared to other varieties. The behaviour model of farmers using certified superior seeds could increase tobacco productivity and the behaviour of farmers who used certified superior seeds of Kubangsari varieties had the highest productivity level of 22,826 kg/ha the highest than varieties of timing, hence, Tanjung, Citrasari, and sigh. Therefore, seeds could be selected or determined to be cultivated more massively in locations that had similar microclimate characteristics to increase profits. The contribution of this research can be used as one of the materials for planning and evaluating seed activities in the tobacco commodity development area.

Abstract

West Java millennial farmers have contributed Rp. 163.335.866.450 (5.89%) of the total exports of Rp. 2.768.897.950.950 in boosting the national economy through the export of coffee plantation products, coconut and their derivatives as well as palm sugar. Abstract

Pada pasal 87 (UU No. 6 Tahun 2014) disebutkan bahwa desa dapat mendirikan Badan Usaha Milik Desa yang disebut BUMDesa. BUMDes merupakan suatu cara untuk meningkatkan pendapatan daerah, desa dan masyarakat desa. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengolahan data ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber data, karena menggali kebernaran informasina melalui metode dan sumber perolehan data, seperti wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) efektivitas organisasi dalam pengelolaan badan usaha milik desa (BUMDes) di Desa Cisempur Kecamatan Jatinangor Kabupaten Sumedang dengan menggunakan teori Richard M. Steers yang memiliki 3 dimensi, yaitu pencapaian tujuan, integrasi, dan adaptasi. Namun, dimensi pencapaian tujuan dan integrasi ini belum efektif, dikarenakan unit usaha yang dijalankan tidak sesuai dengan potensi desa dan sosialisasi yang dilakukan belum menyeluruh dan sebagian masyarakat tidak mengetahui adanya BUMDes. (2) faktor yang menghambat efektivitas organisasi dalam pengelolaan badan usaha milik desa (BUMDes) di desa cisempur kecamatan jatinangor kabupaten sumedang adalah partisipasi masyarakat yang masih rendah dan kurangnya modal. (3) Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut yaitu pengelola dapat melakukan pinjaman sesuai dengan ketentuan PP Nomor 11 Tahun 2021 tentang BUMDesa dan meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dengan cara sosialisasi, persuasi dan sebagainya, agar masyarakat tertarik untuk berkontribusi pada pelaksanaan BUMDes.

Abstract

Pembinaan kelembagaan produsen benih tanaman perkebunan telah dilaksanakan pada Tanggal 21 Mei 2024, di Jl. Raya Jatinangor No.13-15, Cibeusi, Kec. Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat 45363. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini adalah produsen benih kelapa, kopi, teh, cengkeh, seraiwangi, tembakau, vanili, dan pala sebanyak 40 orang dari 26 kabupaten/kota di Jawa Barat. Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan memperluas jaringan usaha para produsen benih, dan meningkatkan penggunaan benih unggul bermutu bagi masyarakat. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi regulasi kelembagaan benih dan peredaran benih tanaman perkebunan, regulasi dan proses perizinan bagi produsen benih, dan konsolidasi bisnis perbenihan yang dihasilkan oleh produsen benih tanaman perkebunan di Jawa Barat. Pembinaan kelembagaan produsen benih menghasilkan kesepakatan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas para produsen benih dalam tata kelola kelembagaan usaha benih komoditas kelapa, kopi, teh, cengkeh, seraiwangi, vanili, dan pala, untuk pemasaran skala besar didaftar ke dalam E-Katalog yang dinaungi Kementerian Pertanian, menjalin kemitraan, memperluas jaringan para produsen benih dalam pengadaan benih program pemerintah, pemenuhan kebutuhan benih masyarakat lokal, regional maupun nasional.
