Abstract

This research aims to figure out the influence of Teachers‟ Work Motivation, Teachers‟ Competency, Supervision of Teaching either collectively or partially on the Teachers‟ Professionalism of Catholic Junior High Schools in Tomohon City. This research, carried out at all Catholic Junior High Schools in Tomohon City, is a quantitative research with the correlational approach. The research respondents are chosen by using technique of proportionate random sampling to the whole teachers of Catholic Junior High Schools in Tomohon City in the amount of 110 teachers. To find out the total samples, it‟s used Slovin Method and got samples in the amount of 86 teachers. The hypothesis test uses Multiple Regression Analysis. The result of this research points out that there is a positive and significant influence of Teachers‟ Work Motivation, Teachers‟ Competency, and Supervision of Teaching collectively and partially on the Professionalism of Teachers. This research finds out a large amount of effective contribution in the amount of 66,10%.

Abstract

This research is intended to analyze: (1) The influence of paedagogic competence, working motivation, and headmaster academic supervision toward teachers‟ working motivation together, (2) The influence of paedagogic competence toward teachers‟ working motivation, (3) The influence of working motivation toward teachers‟ working motivation, and (4) The influence of headmaster academic supervision toward working motivation. This research was carried out in Wates District Kulon Progo Regency in the academic year of 2012/2013.The approach of this research was quantitative with survey methode. The population of this research was 240 of elementary school‟s teachers that was consisted of 6 group of elementry schools in Wates district Kulon progo regency. This research took 142 teachers with proportional random sampling technique. The data was collected by questionaires. The data analysis technique was using multiple regression with 3 predictors. The hypothesis test were done simultaneosly by with F- test then continued by using hypothesis test partially with t- test.The research result showed that paedagogic competence, working motivation, and headmaster academic supervision simultaneously gave positve influence and was very signifcant toward teachers‟ working motivation. The effective simultant contribution was 55,1%. Then the effective individual contribution were: (1) Paedagogic competence on teachers‟ working motivation was 6,85%, (2) Working motivation on teachers‟ working motivation was 33,11%, and (3) Headmaster academic supervision toward teachers‟ working motivation was 15,14%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know about how far the differences in understanding (determining) of physics concepts between the constructivist and behaviorist learning reviewed with creativity variable, logical and theoretical thinking ability. With a quasi experiment redesign method, its giving a different treatments that is they way of behaviorist and constructivist learning to the student of Physical Education in JPMIPA FKIP amount 49 students in third semester of 2010/2011 academic year with subject of Modern Physics. The instrument of this study are creativity tests, logocal thinking ability, theoretical thinking ability and comprehensive test (determining) of the concept and all instruments have been tested the reliability and validity. The finding in this study is discrepancy in understanding the concepts of modern physics which is significant between constructivist and behaviorist learning. They way of constructivist learning is better than behaviorist.

Abstract

The Management of Inclusive School in SD Negeri Gadingan Wates Kulon Progo Regency. This research used a qualitative approach, where the place of study was in SD Negeri Gadingan, Kulon Progo regency. Researcher served as instruments. Data sources of this study consisted of principal, teachers, and school superintendent. Techniques of data collection used interviews, observation, and documentation. Techniques of data collection in this research were done since the beginning of the study. The findings are analyzed and set forth in meaningful word qualitatively. Test of the data validity used the test of data credibility that fulfills validity, reliability, and objectivity. In addition to using the increased persistence, authors used triangulation credibility test. The Implementation of the management begins with planning that includes eight standard. Implementation of its activities was also referring to the plans that have been made. It stands out from the implementation of the eight standard is the standard process and standard of facilities and infrastructure. For monitoring and evaluation carried out by principals, school supervisors also played an active role.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of proffesion development, emotional intellegence and on quality of work in Vocational High School of Tourism, Arts and Craft Group of Yogyakarta City in the Academic Year of 2012/2013. The study population numbered 341 people. The sampling method used a quota proportional random sampling numbering 174 people. The data analysis technique used were desciptive and analysis multiple regression and partial correlation.The results indicate that the proffesion development, emotional intellegence and workload has a positive and significant influence on the quality of teacher‟s work. The effective controbution given by the proffession development variable toward the quality teacher‟s work is 11,12 %, the effective contribution given by the emotional intellegence variable toward the quality of teacher‟s work is 18,70 % and the effective contribution given by the workload variable toward the quality of teacher‟s work is 10,56 % so that the total of effective contribution is 40,40 %. It is means that the other influeces are 59,60 %, beside the proffesion development, emotional intellegence that affect the quality of work.

Abstract

The learning based on the social interaction is very important to solve any problems in the school or people. People always do hope that one of place giving the student creating character is school so it can produce the good alumni having a good character. The entrepreneurship is a knowledge that can read the environment and can create the ready entrepreneur everywhere. Based on the fact above, Business Center (BC) is a place for entrepreneurship learning in the social interaction or the economic production so it can answer the education problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is intended to describe the leadership style of the principal in managing the high school students at Public Senior High School 1 Ngaglik in Sleman regency. The research focus on general leadership by the principal, the principal's leadership style associated with the management of student affairs at Public Senior High School 1 Ngaglik. This study used a qualitative approach, data sources or informants include: principals, vice-principals, coaches OSIS, teachers, staff and students and also documents relating to the implementation of student programs. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and document scrutiny.The results of this study describe that principal leadership in his capacity as the person in charge of education in Public Senior High School 1 Ngaglik tends to delegate more responsibility to the assistant principal and coordinator of his staff, but in the field of student affairs, in addition to the principal appoint the vice-principal and the staff for student council , the role of the principal is still quite high. In managing the students, the principal has strong leadership style and firm as well as its policy on student activities programs decide by himself more likely the marching drills program of Sleman District Military Command and the determination of class divisions. The school principal alsohas a little pushy character and often provide punishment in carrying out the students. The principal tries to use the capacity of Public Senior High School 1 Ngaglik and try to overcome the inhibiting factors in managing studenst. By applying the style, headmasters of the school has restoredorderly conditions successfully and the poor performance has been changed to be orderly schools with discipline students and began to show their achievements both in academic and non-academic. So that the vision, mission: discipline, quality and pride which is proclaimed by the principal is getting closer to reality.

Abstract

The Management of Skill learning of Mental Disable Children at Wiyata Dharma 2 Special Education, Sleman, Year 2012/2013 The goal of The Research was to describe The Management of skill learning, supporting factor and how to empower the implementation of skill and also obstacle factor, and effort to overcome the obstacle factor of skill learning at Wiyata Dharma 2 SpecialEducation, Sleman, Yogyakarta year 2012/2013. The Research used qualitative approach, data source from informants include: Headmaster, the vice principle student, the vice principal infrastructure, the vice principal staff, Skill Teacher, parental, Committee and class teachers. The collection of data were applied observation, interview and document. The validation of data was done by lengthening the participation, perseverance of observation and triangulation. The Result of the Research showed that the skill learning at Wiyata Dharma 2 Special Education went well. The evaluation result of input showed that the educator is adequate, the expert is inadequate, the infrastructure is adequate, the Management of Fund from any source is good enough, learning Resources is not complete and is not maximal in the use of it. The evaluation result of process showed that organization of skill activities program is good enough, and process of skill learning that include learning process, student’s interaction and implementation skill practice Activities are good. The internal supporting factors such as a sense of fun and spirit of the students, and External are complete infrastructure and school fund for the material and a cooperative as means of promotion. The internal obstacle are the low ability of the student and easy to strike, and the external factors are not all the teachers teach according to their education, lack ofsupport and Cooperation of parents, lack of businesses receiving the works and hire the students. Effort to overcome the obstacle factor are arrange a “motivation apel” every day, improve collaboration with parental and society support. The conclusion of this Research is management of skill learning at Wiyata Dharma 2 Special Education went well, structure of the Management is structured and well done. Based on those is recommended to fulfill the expert of skill so the skill that they learned is optimal.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the influence of principal leadership, teacher competency, and school culture either simultaneously or individually on the performance of junior high school teachers in the district of Wonosari Gunungkidul regency. This study adopted a quantitative approach. The study population was junior high school teachers in the district of Wonosari Gunungkidul regency. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. Data was obtained through a questionnaire that had been tested and met the requirements of validity and reliability. Techniques of data analysis performed in this study were: (1) descriptive analysis of the data, (2) analysis oftest requirements including: normality test, linearity and multicolinearity test, (3) test of hypothesis using multiple linear regression analysis and partial correlation. Conclusions of this study were: (1) principal leadership, teacher competency, and school culture simultaneously had a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. Principal leadership variables contribute most to the performance of teachers, with the effective contribution of 43.8%, school culture variables of 26.9% and teacher competency variables of 9.9%, (2) principal leadership had a positive and significant impact on teacher performance, (3) teacher performance had a positive and significant impact on teacher performance, (4) school culture had a positive and significant impact on teacher performance.
