Abstract

This study is to know The Management of Guidance Counseling Service to enhance Learning Quality at SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari and to understand the meaning of Counseling Guidance Service in enhancing learning quality at SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari. This study applies qualitative approach. This study is used to examine the object in natural condition, the writer is as key instrument. The result of qualitative research emphasizes to meaning rather than generalization. This study is done at SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari in Gunungkidul regency. The techniques of data collection are direct observation, interview and documentation. The conclusion of this study are : (1) The Management of Guidance Counseling Service consists of program planning, organizing, program implementation, evaluation, and supervision control. (2) Program Planning is started by need assessment by considering to students’ problems which often raise, they are learning problem and emotion problem. (3 ) Organizing relates to job description which involved in Guidance Counseling Service activities proportionally, in order that the organization runs effectively and efficiently. (4) Program implementation is the core of Guidance Counseling Service. Counselor is demanded professional.(5) Evaluation activity, supervision control are established in order to reach endless qualified service(6) Counseling Guidance Service at SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari runs relatively well. (7) Guidance Counseling Service has contribution and real role in enhancing students’ learning quality. (8) The real and strategic contribution of Guidance Counseling Service, finally have contribution in enhancing learning quality.

Abstract

This research is aimed at uncovering condition of christian spriritualism values in attemp to improve teachers profesionalism and its obstacles faced and its efforts done in increasing the quqlity of the education at Bilogai YPPK Elementay School, a Chatolic Education Fondation Owned by Timika Bishopric in the Regency of Intan Jaya, Papua .This research used qualitative approach and datum source consisting of the headmaster, the teachers, or the school committe, as well. Thr Research datum are collected and compiled through observations, interviews, documentations and triangulation. The datum are analysed with model analysis through datum reduction and conclution drawing. The datum validity is determined with triangulation, members checking and informen review.The result of the research shows that the values of christian spiritualism are implemented through role model and services to the teachers and the student in the headmaster’s leadership.This pattern can improve the teachers profesionalism to the fairly good level. Bisides that, in carring out their study tasks upon the students, it also emphasizes on the values of affection and sacrifice. The main obtacles faced by the headmaster in his efforts to improve the process quality and the education out put are dealt with its remote area and isolated region. Transportation and communication are quite diffcult to get and access in this remote area. The development and the increase of the quality of the education facilities and supporting facilities are hampered by the comunication systiem difficulty and the transportation difficulty. The headmaster is expected to keep on staying consistent integrating the christian spiritualism values in the leadership and to increase coordination and cooperation with the local goverment and the Catholik Ordos / The Conggregations of the Christians, especially in any matters dealing with the isolation breaking and the fund raising.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran komprehensip berkaitan dengan: (1) Program, (2) Pelaksanaan, (3) Monitoring, (4) Evaluasi dan (5) faktor-faktor yang mendukung atau menghambat pelaksanaan MMBS di SMP Diponegoro Depok Sleman. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru, pegawai sekolah, komite sekolah, dan siswa. Pemilihan subjek penelitian didasarkan pada pertimbangan bahwa subjek mampu memberikan informasi yang dibutuhkan. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dengan melakukan catatan ringkas, kegiatan kategorisasi, kegiatan koding, catatan margindan menafsirkan data.Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai adalah untuk mengetahui perencanaan Manajemen Mutu Berbasis Sekolah di SMP Diponegoro, untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan Manajemen Mutu Berbasis Sekolah di SMP Diponegoro, untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan Monitoring dan Evaluasi Manajemen Mutu Berbasis Sekolah di SMP Diponegoro, untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor pendukung Manajemen Mutu Berbasis Sekolah di SMP Diponegoro Depok, untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor menghambat dan cara mengatasinya dalam pelaksanaan MMBS di di SMP Diponegoro Depok. Program sekolah direncanakan oleh empat urusan sekolah yakni urusan kurikulum, kesiswaan, humas, serta sarana dan prasarana. Program yang dihasilkan ditawarkan kepada semua stakeholders dan dimusyawarahkan bersama. Kegiatan belajar-mengajar di SMP Diponegoro didukung jumlah guru yang memadai dan situasi yang kondusif. Kualitas siswa yang sedang, dukungan guru yang berkualitas prestasi akademik dan non akademik siswa di SMP Diponegoro tergolong baik. Tingkat kelulusan siswa SMP Diponegoro meningkat dan diterima di sekolah favorit. Monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan pada sekolah ini tergolong baik. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung pelaksanaan MMBS di SMP Diponegoro adalah jumlah guru dan tingkat pendidikan, sarana dan prasarana, dan ketersediaan dana yang memadai, Faktor pendukung pelaksanaan MMBS di SMP Diponegoro adalah faktor kualitas kepala sekolah, kuantitas dan kualitas guru, ketersediaan dana, sarana dan prasarana yang memadai.

Abstract

This research aim to : ( 1) to discribe of implementation of double system education management done in SMK Siwa Five St. Joseph Langgur in the form of activity Prakerin for the rmeningkatkan of student competence, ( 2) to describe the result in double system education management executed by SMK Siwa Five St. Joseph Langgur of during student follow the ctivity Prakerin ( 3) to describe resistance / constraint and also excess met in double system education execution pass the Prakerin executed by SMK Siwa Five St. Joseph Langgur in improving its student competence. The approach used in this research is approach qualitative, the research source data cover is : student following Prakerin, vocational teacher / majors, lead the vocational program / majors, vice headmaster ofhumanity relathion, vice headmaster of curriculum, and headmaster. Data collecting done by perception, observation, and documentation. The result of research show: ( 1) double system education management done by SMK Siwa Five St. Joseph Langgur in the form of Prakerin implicitly have walked but not yet optimal, because still lack of activity synchronization in executed management steps, ( 2) Result obtained in double system education management done by SMK Siwa Five St. Joseph Langgur in the form of Prakerin show result of process of during student follow the Prakerin, while result in object become not yet looked, ( 3) execution of management of system education done by SMK Siwa Five St. Joseph Langgur in Prakerin.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study described the implementation of management of the learning caracter education in The State of Banyubiru 1 Primary School of The Dukun District Of The Muntilan, Magelang, Center of Java Province.The research used the qualitative approach and the subjects were teachers, the principal, the students, the supervisors, and the parents. The data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation methods. The research found that : (1) In principle, the teachers of the state of Banyubiru 1 Primary School of The Dukun District Of The Muntilan, Magelang, Center of Java Province Province implemented the learning caracter education by integrated with the learning material, (2) Unoptimally in the implementation of the caracter education learning management caused by the lacks of views and knowlege of the teachers about character values and how to integrate in the learning management and about the evaluation system. (3) The awareness of the teacher on character values as a educational basis and instrument act as supporting factors in implementing and developing the character education learning management. (4) Base on the research results it suggested that the knowledge, view, and abilities of teachers about character values and how to implement it in the character education learning management and the evaluation sytem should be improved.

Abstract

The research is intended to know the preparation of the implementation, the management of students, t teachers and staff, curriculum, facilities, fund, result, the problems and the solution and the evaluation of the Acceleration Learning Program in SMA Negeri 1 Wates, Kulon Progo. Naturalistic Qualitative Approach is carried out in the research. The technique of the data collection is carried out through physical and non- physical observation, free but controlled interview on the basis on the principles of comparability, reliability and documentation. The credible data is achieved through the extended study time, persistence and source and triangulation method. Data legality is achieved by the search and writing the research result which is already approved by the research resource. The technique of data analysis is used simultaneously, that is, collection, reduction, datapresentation and drawing conclusion. The research result shows that the preparation, the management of students, teachers and staff, curriculum, facilities, funding has already met the Implementation Principle. Some of the Students Management still does not meet the Implementation Guidelines, for example, there are some students joining the program with IQ under 125, whereas theaccepted students should have at least IQ score of 125. The learning result of the Accelerated Learning Program in SMA Negeri 1 Wates in terms of the students’ achievement is reported to the parents including semester test result, National Examination Score and the number of graduates accepted in university which are not lower than those of the regular students. The problem that occurs includes the learning process disturbance because of the decrease of the students’ motivation and the candidates quality which does not yet meet the criteria for the Accelerated Study Program. To solve the problem, the school implements various learning process, decreasing unessential learning material , refreshing program at the end of the first semester and improving the system of new students recruitment. The evaluation of the Accelerated Learning Program in SMA Negeri 1 Wates is that the program has been implemented in accordance with the implementation procedures.

Abstract

The research is intended to know the Headmaster competence of SD Negeri Percobaan 4 in terms of the personality, managerial, entrepreneurship, supervision and social dimensions and the efficiency of the Headmaster leadership of SD Negeri Percobaan 4 and to know the problems faced by the Headmaster of SD Negeri Percobaan 4 in carrying out the leadership functions following the solutions. Naturalistic Qualitative Approach is carried out in the research to know the phenomena comprising the data and information naturally without data manipulation. The researcher personally carries out the research in order to know, understand the problem and to describe the research result. The process of data collection is used by the researcher as the key instrument by which the researcher carried out directly, while direct observation is implemented as the technique of data collection in the real condition in the field both physically and non-physically, free but controlled-interview is also implemented in order to achieve the detail and various data, but it is still based on the principles of comparability and reliability from the respondents, the headmaster, the teachers, the parents, the chief of School Committee, the school attendance and the documentation.The result of the research shows that the competence of Headmaster competence of SD Negeri Percobaan 4 in terms of the of personality, managerial, entrepreneurship, supervision and social dimensions already fulfills the Headmaster Competence Standard while the leadership is still ineffective in increasing the test score of National Examination. The problem of fulfilling the leadership efficiency is deal with the input (students) which does not meet the standard ability needed by the school as the school is not allowed to select the candidates based on the required ability. To solve the problem, the school makes some efforts, for example; by giving additional lesson to the students who have not mastered the lesson yet, to the students at the sixth grade, facing theNational Examination, who have not achieved the lesson, improving the teachers’ role for all students, intensifying cooperation with the parents to increase the learning process.

Abstract

The Influence of Working Motivation, Information Technology Management and Principal’s Leadership on the Teacher’s Performance at Public Senior High Schools at Kulon Progo regencyThis study aims to determine : a) the influence of working motivation Management of Information Technology and Principal’s Leadership on the teacher’s performance, b) the influence of the working motivation on the teacher’s performance, c) the influence of information tecnology management on the teacher’s performance, d) the influence of principal’s leadership on the teacher’s performance. The study was conducted in Kulon Progo regency, in the academic year of 2013. This research is a quantitative one using survey method. The population of this research is 380 public senior high school teachers in Kulon Progo regency. This reserach was sample taken 177 teachers by using accidental sampling techniques. The data in this result wascollected by using questionnaries. The data were analized by using multiple regression with three predictors. Mayor hypothesis testing used multiple regression analysis, and then individual hypothesis testing done by using partial corelation. The data processing used SPSS program V.16.0. All effective contribution was taken from the analysis result of the value of the determinat coefficient multiplied by 100 % and the effective contribution partially by multiplying the value of the Standardized Beta Coefficients with Zero–oder correlations value multiplied by 100 % for each independent variable.The results of the research show that the working motivation, information tecnology management and principal’s leadership simultanously have very positive and significant influence on the teacher’s performance. Effective contribution all together is 37,44 %. Effetive contribution individually of : a). working motivation has positive influence to the teacher’s performance is 7,55 %. b). Information technology management has positive influence to the teacher’s performance is 22,85 %, and c). Principal’s leadership has positive influence the teacher’s performance the effective contribution is 7,04 %.

Abstract

Pengaruh Pengalaman Pendidikan dan Latihan, Masa Kerja, dan Pendapatan Terhadap Komitmen Kerja Guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Di Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Tesis Program Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Program Pasca Sarjana Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta tahun 2013.Data diambil dari populasi yaitu guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang ada di Banjarnegara Jawa Tengah. Pengambilan data Penelitian menggunakan Proportionale Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket. Teknik analisa menggunakan teknik regresi ganda dengan tiga prediktor. Uji hipotesis secara bersama-sama menggunakan uji-F atau uji ANOVA dilanjutkan uji hipotesis secara individual dengan uji parsial (uji-t). Data diuji dengan menggunakan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan uji multikolinearitas dengan taraf signifikansi 5%.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pengalaman pendidikan dan latihan, masa kerja dan pendapatan terhadap komitmen kerja guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kabupaten Banjarnegara, (2) ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pengalaman pendidikan dan latihan terhadap komitmen kerja guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kabupaten Banjarnegara, (3) ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan masa kerja terhadap komitmen kerja guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kabupaten Banjarnegaraa (4) ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pendapatan terhadap komitmen kerja guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Sumbangan efektif secara bersama-sama sebesar 39,5 %. Sumbangan efektif secara individual (1) Pengalaman Pendidikan dan latihan terhadap komitmen kerja guru sebesar 3,302 %, (2) masa kerja terhadap komitmen kerja guru sebesar 2,155 % (3) Pendapatan terhadap komitmen kerja guru sebesar 34,044 %.

Abstract

The Influence of the Principal Leadership, Academic Supervision and the Teachers’ Work Motivation on the Teaching Quality of State Islamic Junior Secondary School (MTsN) Teachers in Kebumen Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine: a) the influence of the principal leadership, the academic supervision and teachers’ work motivation on teaching quality collectively, b) the influence of the principal leadership on the teaching quality, c) the influence of the academic supervision on the teaching quality, d) the influence of teachers' work motivation to the teaching quality. This research is quantitative research that used survey method. As the subjects or the population studied as many as 425 the state Islamic junior secondary school teachers (MTsN) in Kebumen Regency, while as many as 193 samples studied teachers, the technique used in this study is proportional random sampling technique. In the process of data collection, it was used questionnaires and in analyzing the data, it was used a model of multiple regressions with three predictors. The hypothesis testing of all variables collectively was used the F-test, followed by hypothesis testing each variable or individual used partial test (t-test). For data processing used SPSS v.16. In processing the data, it was sought contribution effectively together for all variables, i.e. by finding analysis determination coefficient multiplied by 100 % , while for seeking contribution effectively partially i.e. by multiplying the value of the Standardized Coefficient with value Correlated Zero-order multiplied by 100 % for each variable independently. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, both with technical analysis of multiple regression or partial regression that test with the t-test or ANOVA , showed that principal leadership, academic supervision and of teachers’ work motivation collectively have a positive influence and significant impact on the quality of teaching. The magnitude of the effective contribution collectively is 35.01 %, while the effective contribution of the individual is: a) principal leadership on the teaching quality is 21.25 %, b) principal academic supervision on the teaching quality is 6.47% and c) the teachers’ work motivation to the teaching quality is 7.29%.
