Abstract

This study aims to read and analyze public sentiment toward the political narrative constructed by Gibran Rakabuming through his monologue video “Giliran Kita” (Our Turn), delivered by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and uploaded to his personal YouTube channel, which has attracted significant public attention in a short period of time. In this video, Gibran seeks to encourage the younger generation to take on a role and dare to make breakthroughs amid the current global challenges. However, various reactions reflecting the dynamics of public opinion and perceptions toward the political narrative have emerged widely across social media platforms, particularly on X. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative methods were used to collect and analyze digital data through web scraping of posts containing the keyword “Gibran” during the period from April 19 to 26, 2025. Based on the findings of this study, the political narrative constructed by Gibran shows positive resonance among users of the X platform, particularly in shaping his image as a representative of the younger generation. The dominance of positive and neutral sentiments indicates that Gibran's political strategy appears to be quite successful, at least on the X platform.  These findings reveal that public perception in the digital space is never static, is layered, and is not always objective. Social media is no longer merely a tool for conveying messages but has become a space for political discourse competition and the formation of power legitimacy. Public perceptions of figures like Gibran are shaped through a complex process influenced by the content of messages, the evolving nature of issues, the communication strategies employed, and the roles of active actors in disseminating political narratives in the digital world.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the form and effectiveness of leadership rhetoric in the public communication of the Regent of Sumbawa, Drs. H. Mahmud Abdullah, especially in delivering Mo-Novi's flagship programmes in the 2021-2024 leadership period. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method, this research refers to classical rhetoric theory (ethos, pathos, logos) as well as public communication theory according to Denis McQuail. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation. The results show that the ethos aspect is quite strong formally, especially in terms of bureaucratic credibility and direct involvement of the leader. However, symbolic and emotional approaches that can strengthen public trust have not been optimally utilised. The pathos and logos aspects have also not been fully effective, because the communication patterns used still tend to be one-way, technocratic, and less in accordance with the socio-cultural characteristics of local communities. These findings indicate the importance of strengthening public communication strategies that are more adaptive, dialogic, and oriented towards emotional approaches so that leadership rhetoric can increase public understanding and participation in regional policies.

Abstract

In contemporary Afghan poetry, the invocation of divine figures, particularly Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), reflects both deep spiritual devotion and the preservation of cultural-religious identity. Ustad Khalilullah Khalili, one of Afghanistan’s most celebrated poets, frequently incorporates the images and names of prophets in his works, with the Prophet of Islam occupying a central and honored position. This study employs an analytical–descriptive method, examining Khalili’s Divan alongside relevant literary and scholarly sources, to investigate how the Prophet is represented and under which names, titles, and attributes. The analysis reveals that Khalili portrays the Prophet as a multifaceted figure spiritual guide, moral exemplar, source of divine light, and symbol of compassion and justice. His poetry utilizes various literary devices, including metaphors, similes, Qur’anic allusions, imagery, and intertextual references, to emphasize the Prophet’s ethical, spiritual, and social significance. Furthermore, recurring themes such as devotional love (Ishq-e-Nabawi), prophetic miracles, mercy, and guidance reinforce the Prophet’s enduring relevance in contemporary Afghan literary culture. The study concludes that Khalili’s work not only reflects his personal devotion and mastery of classical Persian poetic tradition but also bridges classical literary heritage with modern Afghan sensibilities. Prophetic imagery in his poetry thus serves as a living source of aesthetic inspiration, moral reflection, and spiritual guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of stunting control policies in Indonesia, where the focus of this study is the effectiveness of the program and the challenges in achieving national targets in stunting control. This study uses a qualitative research method by adopting a literature review approach. The research data were obtained through bibliometric analysis of 123 Scopus-indexed scientific documents over the past 10 years or from 2015 to 2025. This study uses the approach of public policy adaptation theory in the VUCA. The results of the study indicate that although the national stunting rate shows a positive trend, significant regional disparities still occur. Therefore, the author concludes that effective stunting control requires targeted intervention from the government as a policy maker. Including encouraging inter-sectoral collaboration to achieve the goal of national stunting control, so that the government can ensure optimal growth and development for future generations.

Abstract

Deforestation in Indonesia has reached a critical stage and caused a series of ecological disasters, including flash floods on the island of Sumatra that claimed many lives. This study aims to analyse the concept of ecological harmony from the perspective of the Qur'an and formulate principles of ecological piety as a mitigative solution to the deforestation crisis. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach through library research, reinforced by socio-ecological analysis to connect the interpretation of verses with the reality of environmental damage. Primary data was obtained from a direct study of Tafsir al-Azhar by Hamka and Tafsir al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab, while secondary data was obtained from scientific literature related to ecological crises, deforestation, and ecological verses. The results of the study show that the Qur'an, through QS. Ar-Rum: 41, directly links ecological damage to human actions, while QS. Ar-Rahman: 7–9 emphasises the principle of mizan (balance) as a fundamental structure of nature that must be preserved by humans as caliphs. The interpretation of the scholars describes that hypocrisy does not only mean moral corruption, but also includes tangible ecological damage such as pollution, forest degradation, and climate change. Based on these findings, the study formulated six principles of ecological piety: respect for nature, moral responsibility, cosmic solidarity, ecological compassion, ecological justice, and ecological restoration as an ethical framework relevant to responding to the environmental crisis.
