Abstract

This study is motivated by the tourism industry’s significant potential to boost national income and economic growth in the era of globalization, particularly through the development of tourism villages. The East Lombok Regency government has implemented the policy "Fair, Prosperous, and Safe East Lombok," designating 91 tourism villages, including Tetebatu Selatan Village in Sikur District, known for its natural and cultural attractions. To ensure sustainable tourism, a strong branding strategy is essential. This study aims to examine the village government's efforts in branding Tetebatu Selatan Tourism Village through Digital-Based Social Mapping. A descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, validated using source triangulation. The findings reveal that the village government has mapped local potentials, such as English Village, Agriculture Village, Cultural Village, Religious Village, Fruit Village, and Aren Village, and has promoted branding through (tetebatuselatan.com) and (jadesta.com), a platform managed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Abstract

The dynamics of development in one of the regencies in Central Java Province, namely Brebes Regency, is analogous to a Greek mythological “pandora's box” as a metaphor for the “many problems and difficulties that exist within it”. The “Pandora's Box” referred to in the context of development in Brebes District is the low quality of health services characterized by the high prevalence of stunting (stunted children). The research question formulated is why the prevalence of stunting in Brebes Regency, Central Java continues to occur and what factors are at the root of the problem from the perspective of Galtung's Violence Triangle concept. The findings of this research are that the high prevalence of stunting is due to the intersection/interconnection between Galtung's three forms of violence. Direct violence occurs verbally, which hits the psyches of families with stunted children in the form of social stigma and physically in the form of domestic violence, both of which are allowed to become a culture of silence in society. Structural violence occurs in unfair social structures and systems that further exacerbate poverty and inequality, inadequate access to health facilities and services, low community literacy, especially pre-marital provision knowledge, and unequal access to clean water, environmental sanitation and the absence of local food diversification. At the same time, cultural violence also works to strengthen and legitimize the direct and structural violence that occurs, such as the existence of the key.

Abstract

This research analyses the role of figures in the dynamics of internal Islamic conflict, particularly in the case of Ahmadiyah in Lombok. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, data was collected through interviews with representatives of the Ahmadiyah congregation as well as secondary sources such as previous research, NGO reports, and mass media. The data obtained was categorised based on conflict patterns and mass psychology, then analysed using the framework of religious socialisation theory. The results show that important figures in both groups play a vital role as significant others in reducing conflict through three mechanisms: faith strengthening, internal Islamic dialogue, and faith modelling. This internal dialogue is key in finding common ground and managing differences in teachings within one religion. Thus, the presence of figures as mediators plays a strategic role in managing conflict, both in open form and at the doctrinal level.

Abstract

Dowry is a fundamental element in Islamic marriage that has legal, social and philosophical significance. In Islamic law, dowry is an obligation that must be given by the husband to the wife as a form of respect and proof of commitment in marriage. The dowry also serves as a financial protection for women, especially in societies where men are the main breadwinners. From a sociological perspective, dowry reflects social status, gender relations, and cultural norms that develop in society. However, in some cases, the size of the dowry can become an economic burden for the prospective husband and hinder the marriage. From a philosophical perspective, the dowry reflects respect for women's dignity and moral responsibility in marriage. The dowry is not a medium of exchange in the marriage contract, but a manifestation of justice, balance, and respect for rights and obligations in the household. The ideal dowry concept must consider the principles of justice and welfare for both parties, without being an instrument of exploitation or domination. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to understand the role and meaning of dowry in legal, social and philosophical contexts. The results show that dowry has complex social and moral dimensions, which need to be understood in the context of the culture and dynamics of modern society. Therefore, a more flexible understanding of dowry is needed so that it remains relevant to the times, without losing its essential values in Islam. Legal regulations and social norms related to dowry should be based on the principle of balance, so that marriage can take place with values that support justice, harmony and prosperity for both parties.

Abstract

Go Mandalika is a digital platform managed by the Central Lombok Regency Tourism Office to promote local tourist destinations. Despite its attractive features, Go Mandalika faces major challenges in terms of branding and content management due to the lack of human resources (HR) who are experts in digital marketing. This study aims to analyze the role of Go Mandalika as a digital promotion tool and how branding optimization can increase its visibility and effectiveness in promoting tourism in Central Lombok. Through literature review and content analysis, this study found that although Go Mandalika has great potential, problems in management and branding are the main obstacles. Therefore, recommendations from this study include strengthening branding, developing digital marketing HR, and more intense collaboration with external content to support regional promotion. This study is expected to contribute to improving the quality of government digital platform management in the tourism sector.

Abstract

Sustainable education is the key to achieving long-term development goals. In the digital era, educational transformation through information technology plays an important role in expanding access and quality of learning. This study examines the strategy of Dreams Foundation, a non-formal education platform in Indonesia, in creating sustainable impacts through the Instagram account @ruangtryout. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with social media content analysis and documentation observation. The results of the analysis show that Dreams Foundation optimizes educational content (try out simulations, learning tips, mentoring sessions sharing experiences), facilitates social media interaction and literacy, and carries a social mission in Indonesia to increase access to higher education for the underprivileged with a target SNBT score above 750. This strategy is in line with the guidelines for sustainable education that encourage the active role of institutions in educating the public and strengthening the learning ecosystem of prospective students. In conclusion, Dreams Foundation's digital efforts have approached the principles of sustainable education management, although they need to be developed with a more systematic scale and impact evaluation. Recommendations include increasing the integration of digital services and collaboration with a wider educational ecosystem to be able to reach remote areas of the country.

Abstract

Around 45% of students in Indonesia experience anxiety related to exams (Kemdikbud, 2022), which is manifested through physical, emotional and cognitive symptoms which can cause a decrease in academic achievement by as much as 15% (Zeidner, 2014). This literature study analyzes teacher strategies based on humanistic theory (Rogers), self-efficacy (Bandura), and CBT (Beck) to overcome these problems. Findings indicate that three effective approaches have been identified: (1) creating a supportive learning atmosphere characterized by consistent encouragement, (2) increasing self-confidence through affirmative feedback and assessment preparation, and (3) using cognitive behavioral methods such as changing negative thoughts and applying relaxation techniques. Combining these tactics has shown success in reducing anxiety by increasing self-regulation and reducing feelings of danger. Possible strategies to consider might include: (a) avoiding competitive grading systems, (b) adopting alternative grading methods (such as portfolios or projects), and (c) working with school counselors. This research emphasizes the importance of a balanced evaluation approach between academic achievement and students' psychological well-being.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Cross-Cultural Communication Barriers (Case Study of Sasak and Samawa Tribe Husband and Wife Couples in Jembatang Kemar Hamlet, Senayan Village)". This research is motivated by the phenomenon of elopement, early marriage, and the high divorce rate in the region, which is thought to be related to intercultural communication barriers. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyse the cross-cultural communication barriers experienced by married couples from two different cultural backgrounds, namely the Sasak Tribe and the Samawa Tribe. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of six married couples from different ethnic groups who live in Jembatang Kemar Hamlet. The results showed that the main barriers come from language differences that cause misunderstanding, loss of meaning, and awkwardness in communication. In addition, differences in norms or habits, as well as a lack of self-confidence, also contribute to increasing the risk of small conflicts in household relationships.
