Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pembinaan karakter pada siswa sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian riset dan pengembangan dengan desain tiga tahap. Pada tahap pertama (2010) survey dilakukan terhadap 20 sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi, interview, dan focus group discussion, serta dokumentasi. Teknik pengecekan silang dilakukan untuk memvalidasi data. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) model khusus tidak ditemukan pada pembinaan karakter berbasis pendidikan agama di sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama di Yogyakarta. Pembinaan karaker dilakukan di sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama masih secara umum 2) model pendidikan karakter harus dikiembangkan di sekolah berdasarkan kepada pendidikan agama untuk membuat pendidikan agama menjadi mata pelajaran utama yang digunakan untuk membina karakter siswa. Pendidikan agama harus mengajarkan agama, sikap, dan perilaku. Aspek penting lainnya yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam kerangka pembinaan karakter yang efektif di sekolah adalah visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah, dan kebersamaan. Ada program yang jelas dan rinci, meliputi semua subjek dan semua guru. Ada dukungan fasilitas dan tim khusus untuk pelaksanaan program pembinaan karakter siswa.

The purposes of this study are: (1) to find out which between the study models can give the best mathematics learning results; (2) to find out which student creativity categories can give the best mathematics learning result; (3) to find out the interaction between the study models and student creativities towards the results of learning. The results of learning in this case are limited to the subject of Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung. The study uses a quasi-experimental design by using two-way analysis of variance with unequal cell sizes. The population of the study refers to all students of Grade IX in the junior high schools in District Area 04 of the Sub-Province of Wonogiri sampled into three classes of two schools through stratified and cluster random sampling. Data are colllected by documentation, questionnaire, and tests. Results of analyses with 0.05 level of significance and continued by double comparation test show: 1) The guided discovery model and cooperative learning give the same learning results but are better than the conventional model. (2) Students with a higher creativity level in mathematics have better results than students with a lower creativity level. (3) At the high creativity category level, students show better results in guided discovery model than cooperative learning and cooperative learning is better than the conventional model. At the low and medium creativity level, guided discovery model and cooperative learning model give the same learning results but better than the conventional model. Besides, in the guided discovery model, students with high creativity level do better than students with medium creativity level and students with medium creativity level have the same results as students with low creativity level. As with the cooperative learning model and conventional model, students with high, medium, and low creativity models show the same learning results

The study is aimed at describing the social transformation among members of the village community. The study is qualitative research using phenomenological paradigms for data analyses. The subject consists of poor farmers and pottery makers in the village of Panjangrejo, Bantul Regency. Findings show that the change from being a traditional village of pottery production to a modern village of pottery production begins with innovation by individual pottery makers, is followed by internal dynamics in the community, and finally triggers the birth of the community empowerment and social transformation processes

The study is aimed at identifying models of character building of elementary and junior secondary school students based on religious education in the province of Yogyakarta. The study is a research and development (R D) designed in three stages. In the first stage (2010) the study was a survey in 20 elementary and junior secondary schools in Yogyakarta. The data were collected by observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. The cross-check technique was used for data validity The data were analysed by the inductive analysis technique. The results showed: 1) A special model was not found yet in character building based on religious education in the elementary and junior secondary schools in Yogyakarta. Character building developed in the elementary and junior high schools was still one that was general, 2) A model should be developed for character building in school based on religious education to make religious education as a major base for developing students characters. Religious education should actually teach religious attitudes and behaviors. Another important aspect to be considered in the framework of an effective character building in schools is the vision, mission, and goals for the school, and togetherness. There are programs that are clear and detailed, involving all subjects and all teachers. There are support facilities and special teams for the character building programs

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi, kesiapan, dan kebutuhan perangkat keras, lunak, dan sumber daya manusia di sekolah untuk mendukung pengembangan sistem e-learning dan pengembangan model dengan software Moodle yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa sekolah menengah atas di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain riset dan pengembangan yang menggunakan setting penelitian e-learning di sekolah menengah atas di Yogyakarta. Responden penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah dan para staf yang menggunakan teknologi informasi di sekolah. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kondisi, kesiapan, dan kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa perangkat keras, dan lunak memenuhi kriteria dasar, sedangkan sumber daya manusianya belum memenuhi jumlah dan kualifikasi baik sebagai pakar maupun teknisi komputer. (2) berdasarkan kondisi, kesiapan, dan kebutuhan, desin awal dari LMS berbasis model pembelajaran dikembangkan dengan software Moodle yang menekankan kepada fasilitas plug-ins, hosting, dan maintenance. Model desain divalidasi oleh pakar dan disosialisasikan dan dilatihkan kepada pegawai administrif di sekolah menengah atas negeri tersebut. Model yang dikembangkan memperoleh respon posotif dari sekolah dan diikuti dengan pengembangan isi mata pelajran dimasukkan ke dalam e-learning.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan model pembelajaran kewirausahaan di PKBM binaan SKB Kabupaten Temanggung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Subjek penelitian adalah anggota PKBM di Kabupaten Temanggung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kurikulum dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan para peserta kursus, pembelajaran meliputi kegiatan produksi terarah, pemasaran, dan kewirausahaan dengan menekankan pada aktivitas peserta di bisnis, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah andragogik dengan simulasi dan diskusi kelompok (2) ada kontribusi dari implementasi pelatihan terhadap aspek ekonomi dalam bentuk peningkatan pendapatan unit bisnis, dan (3) ada kontribusi implementasi pelatihan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dan masyarakat sekitar.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan warga belajar dalam membaca dan mengolah bahan pangan loka di Kabupaten Gunung Kidul melalui implementasi model pendidikan keaksaraan terintegrasi dengan life skills berbasis potensi pangan lokal. Penelitian dilakukan di Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat Bina Sejahtera dengan pendekatan penelitian tindakan. Dari aspek pendidikan keaksaraan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan membaca warga belajar. Indikator kinerja pada siklus terakhir memperlihatkan kebenaran membaca warga belajar 100% berada dalam kategori baik dan kecepatan membaca warga belajar 98,125% berada dalam kategori baik. Di samping itu, indikator kinerja untuk program life skills menunjukkan peningkatan dari siklus ke siklus. Dalam siklus terakhir semua resep yang dipraktekkan memiliki rasa di kategori baik, 87,5% memiliki warna dan bentuk dalam kategori baik dan 75% memiliki tata penyajian dalam kategori baik.

The objective of this study is to find out a networking model between vocational schools and the best matching stakeholders. The study is conducted in vocational schools in the province of Yogyakarta covering a range of three years. The study is research development in design. Data sources are parties from the world of work, school principles, and vocational school development team. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is descriptive. Research findings show: (1) The networking model developed in the study is effective for obtaining data and information about the needs of the work fields; and (2) Schools have been able to translate data and information acquired from the fields in the form of operational activities including the persons in charge. When schools are able to further develop this ability to other sources of data and information, it is expected that the schools will be more responsive towards the growth and advancement of the needs of the work fields. Therefore, quality and relevance problems of graduates can be solved

This study is aimed at finding out the condition, readiness, and the needs for hardware, software, and brainware in schools to support the development of e-learning systems and developing a model of Moodle software development for e-learning suitable with the needs of state senior high schools in Yogyakarta. The study uses the Research Development approach, with the research setting of high school e-learning in Yogyakarta. The respondents are school principals and staff members who deal with information technology in the school. Data are collected by interview, observation, and documentation; and are analyzed qualitatively. The results show: (1) The condition, readiness, and needs indicate that the hardware and software meet the basic criteria, while human resources have not met the number and qualifications, both for computer experts and technicians. (2) Based on the condition, readiness, and needs, a preliminary design of LMS-based learning model is developed the with the development of Moodle software for the e-learning system of state high schools in Yogyakarta. The development involves modifying the Moodle software that emphasizes the facility of plug-ins (dragMath), hosting, and maintenance. The designed model is validated by experts and socialized and trained to the IT administrative members of the state high schools. The model developed receives positive responses from schools and is to be followed up with the development of content subjects included in the e-learning
