Abstract

In this research, we propose a genetic algorithm with best combination operator (BC(x,y)O) for the traveling salesman problem. The idea of best combination operator is to find the best combination of some disjoint sub-solutions (also the reverse of sub-solutions) from some known solutions. We use BC(2,1)O together with a genetic algorithm. The proposed genetic algorithm uses the swap mutation operator and elitism replacement with filtration for faster computational time. We compare the performances of GA (genetic algorithm without BC(2,1)O), IABC(2,1)O (iterative approach of BC(2,1)O), and GABC(2,1)O (genetic algorithm with BC(2,1)O). We have tested GA, IABC(2,1)O, and GABC(2,1)O three times and pick the best solution on 50 problems from TSPLIB. From those 50 problems, the average of the accuracy from GA, IABC(2,1)O, and GABC(2,1)O are 65.12%, 94.21%, and 99.82% respectively.

Abstract

Controller design based on networked control system (NCS) framework typically relies on the use of computers and communication network systems to automatically monitor and manage the interactions and data exchanges between plant, sensor, controller and actuator elements of the considered closed loop NCS. Such design and implementation scheme are often challenging, particularly due to the requirement of guaranteed reliability and resiliency to possible failure of or malicious cyber attacks on the communication system part. This paper examines the stability of a class of uncertain linear NCS that is subjected to Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks. In essence, a DoS is a failure phenomenon on the communication links which in NCS framework can prevents the execution of ideal control inputs to take place. Specifically, this paper examines the design of an event-triggered resilient controller for an uncertain linear NCS in the face of such a DoS phenomenon and characterizes sufficient conditions under which the closed loop NCS is guaranteed to remain globally asymptotically stable.

Abstract

Let F, G, and H be simple graphs. The graph F  arrows (G, H) if for any red-blue coloring on the edge of F, we find either a red-colored graph G or a blue-colored graph H in F. The Ramsey number r(G,H) is the smallest positive integer r such that a complete graph Kr arrows (G,H). The restricted size Ramsey number r*(G,H) is the smallest positive integer r* such that there is a graph F, of order r(G,H) and with the size r*, satisfying F arrows (G,H). In this paper we give the restricted size Ramsey number for a matching of two edges versus tree and triangle unicyclic graphs of order six.

Abstract

The development of air transportation services is growing up. Based on the report of Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in January-October 2015, the number of passengers reached 67.5 million. This number is increased by 12.8% from the previous year with only 58.9 million. Overall, there was increased in the number of passengers caused overload of capacity. One of international airports in Indonesia is Adisutjipto in Yogyakarta. The airport officer wants to develop in terms of airplane schedule management and the number of aircrafts used to calculate the number of passengers in the future. In this study, we aimed to forecast next period by using three methods, namely ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing and Combination of both univariate models. This research gives results that generally all route significantly increased every year with Denpasar, Jakarta, Pontianak and Singapore as exception. They were declined slightly in 2015. The number of passengers of departure and arrival routes are affected by seasonal impact. In addition, the model for departure and arrival data had similar models. Another result is combination method did not produce better results than the univariate method. The fit model for predicting data passenger is ARIMA seasonal methods.

Abstract

Group theory is a fundamental mathematical frame- work valuable for analyzing the band structures in materials science. The hexagonal structures have unique electronic struc- tures, especially in 2D materials in group-IV, where the system is observed as the topological insulator. Meanwhile, in the case of group-V, it is semiconductors. This paper analyzes group- IV and group-V band structures based on group theory and proposes a method to identify the irreducible representation (IR) in symmorphic systems. It is found that all materials in group- IV are topological insulators. The evaluation of Z2 invariant v in group-V found that the phosphorene and bismuthene cases are v = 0 and v = 1, respectively, and belong to trivial and topological insulator materials for phosphorene and bismuthene, respectively.

Abstract

In this paper, we study the existence and stability of advection-diffusion equation involving square-root. We first change the original equation into the traveling wave by using ansatz transformation. Then, we apply the appropriate perturbation to establish the energy estimate under small perturbation and large wave amplitude. These results of energy estimates are used to prove the stability of traveling wave solutions.

Abstract

This paper describes some iterations for term delay in Delay Differential Equation (DDE), which is causing a huge number of iteration calculations. Time-delay was approximated using Cubic-Spline Interpolation, so DDE can rewrite as Differential Equations. Then, Runge-Kutta methods have been used to determine the solution of Differential equations from DDE.

Abstract

Hybrid Petri nets are modeling framework for a system that contains discrete and continuous states. In this paper, we construct a model of water treatment plant using Hybrid Petri nets. We choose hybrid petri nets because the water treatment plant contains discrete and continuous parts. The discrete part consists of the state of pumps and the continuous part consists of water volume in each processing unit. The Petri Nets obtained were further simplified to facilitate simulation. Through simulation we can determine the amount of water production with certain specifications.
