Abstract

This community service program aims to improve digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness among vocational high school students at SMK Plus Krida Utama Padalarang. The increasing threat of cybercrimes such as phishing, hacking, malware, and cyberbullying poses significant risks to students who are often active but underprepared digital users. Through interactive workshops, real-life case studies, and quizzes, the program successfully enhanced students’ understanding of cyber threats and prevention strategies. The sessions focused on practical steps like using strong passwords, recognizing suspicious links, managing online privacy, and practicing safe digital behavior. Evaluation results indicated increased student engagement and awareness, demonstrating the importance of early cybersecurity education. The outcomes suggest that structured and relatable digital safety training is effective in building resilience against cybercrime among young users.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve the skills of students at SMP Negeri 10 Cimahi in using Microsoft Word for academic writing purposes. According to reports from the school, many students face difficulties in understanding the functions and usage of word processing software, particularly in composing scientific papers. The activity was conducted over three days through hands-on practical sessions in the school’s computer laboratory, utilizing pre-prepared academic writing templates. The results showed significant improvement in students' technical abilities, although several challenges were encountered, such as lack of basic knowledge about computer hardware and the use of outdated versions of Microsoft Word. The program not only enhanced students' practical skills but also fostered their interest in technology and boosted their confidence in completing academic assignments. It is hoped that similar programs can be implemented more widely to support technology-based learning at the basic education level.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education is a strategic necessity in facing the era of Society 5.0, which requires the integration of advanced technology with human-centered values. This study aims to formulate a contextual and adaptive digital transformation strategy through a literature review and conceptual analysis, using the TOE (Technology, Organization, Environment) framework. Data were collected from national and international journals, academic books, and policy documents related to higher education and digital society. The findings reveal that the success of digital transformation is determined by three key dimensions: (1) technology, which includes IT infrastructure, academic information systems, and digital learning platforms; (2) organization, which involves visionary leadership, innovative culture, and digital competencies of human resources; and (3) environment, which encompasses government policies, financial support, and strategic partnerships. The literature synthesis results in a digital transformation strategy model that is adaptive and tailored to the specific context of each institution. A practical implementation is demonstrated through the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) at STMIK IM Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia Mandiri, reflecting the institution’s readiness for the Society 5.0 era. This study is expected to serve as an initial reference for higher education institutions in formulating sustainable, inclusive, and competitive digitalization policies.

Abstract

Enhancing the competence of Vocational High School students in the field of information technology is a primary priority to address the challenges of Industry 4.0 and the demands of the business and industrial world. Computer Troubleshooting Training is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical mastery in the classroom and students' practical skills in handling various technical issues with computer devices. The primary challenge faced by students is a lack of understanding regarding systematic diagnostic methodologies, which frequently leads to human error during the repair process. This training employs a combination of interactive lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on laboratory sessions. The training modules encompass hardware failure identification and software optimization. The expected outcome of this activity is an increase in students' technical independence and their readiness for job traning. By mastering methodical troubleshooting techniques, students are expected to provide efficient, rapid, and accurate technical solutions within a professional work environment.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide training on utilizing smartphones for digital marketing to 70 students of SMK Negeri 3 Cimahi through introducing basic concepts, Shopee features, and practical sessions on creating online stores. The training was conducted on August 23, 2022, using methods of counseling, demonstration, and hands-on practice with participants' smartphones. Results showed high enthusiasm among participants, who successfully understood the material and created their own Shopee stores, thereby enhancing digital entrepreneurship skills in the industry 4.0 era.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology requires communities to possess adequate digital literacy skills, particularly in using office applications to support administrative activities. However, many PKK women cadres still have limited knowledge of Microsoft Word and formal letter writing, resulting in less effective administrative document preparation. Therefore, this community service program was conducted to introduce Microsoft Word and formal letter writing to PKK women cadres in Kelurahan Baros, Cimahi City. The program focuses on improving digital literacy, writing skills, and participants' ability to produce proper and well-structured formal documents. The implementation method included preparation, material development, training sessions, and hands-on practice. The results show that the program was successfully implemented, with participants demonstrating high enthusiasm and improved understanding of Microsoft Word features as well as the ability to compose formal letters according to standard writing conventions. This program contributed to enhancing participants' administrative competencies and supporting their daily organizational activities.

Abstract

Sinar Raya Drugstore is a pharmaceutical business that still manages sales transactions and drug inventory records manually. This process creates several challenges in data management, including recording inaccuracies, slower report preparation, and limitations in monitoring drug stock effectively. As transaction activities continue to increase, manual data processing becomes less efficient and may affect the accuracy of operational information. To address these issues, this community service program developed a web-based application to support sales and inventory data management through a more organized digital process. The program focuses on developing a Web-Based Sales Data Recapitulation Information System for Sinar Raya Drugstore. The application was implemented using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. The development process applied the waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system modeling, application development, evaluation, and maintenance. The implementation results indicate that the developed system is capable of automating transaction recording, generating periodic sales reports, and providing real-time inventory information. In addition, the application helps improve operational efficiency, minimize recording errors, and simplify the process of managing sales data at Sinar Raya Drugstore.

Abstract

The rapid development of Industry 4.0 technologies has increased the importance of digital competencies among vocational high school students, particularly in the field of Internet of Things (IoT). However, many students still have limited practical experience in implementing embedded systems and real-time monitoring technologies in educational environments. This community service program aimed to improve the technical skills of students at SMK Negeri 2 Cimahi through training on the implementation of IoT systems based on ESP32 for school environmental monitoring. The program employed a participatory training approach consisting of theoretical sessions, hands-on workshops, sensor integration practices, and real-time data visualization using web-based monitoring platforms. The developed system was capable of monitoring environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air quality within the school area. The results showed that students demonstrated significant improvement in understanding microcontroller programming, wireless communication, sensor integration, and IoT system development. Furthermore, the training enhanced students’ problem-solving abilities and readiness to face digital industrial challenges. In conclusion, the program contributed positively to strengthening vocational competencies and promoting technology-based learning innovation in schools.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Large Language Model (LLM)-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching and learning processes. However, the adoption of this technology remains constrained by limited AI literacy and prompt engineering skills among educators, particularly in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). This community service program aimed to enhance teachers' knowledge and skills in utilizing LLM applications through training on prompt engineering techniques based on the C.R.E.A.T.E. and S.T.A.R. frameworks. The program was conducted at Ma'rifa Islamic Boarding School in Cigalontang, Tasikmalaya Regency, involving 32 participants. The implementation methods included lectures, AI application demonstrations, hands-on prompt development practice, and evaluations through pre-tests, post-tests, practical assessments, and participant satisfaction questionnaires. The evaluation results showed that the participants' average score increased from 58.4 in the pre-test to 85.7 in the post-test, representing an improvement of 46.7%. In the practical assessment, 82% of participants successfully developed prompts using the C.R.E.A.T.E. and S.T.A.R. techniques with good to excellent performance. Furthermore, the participant satisfaction survey yielded an average score of 4.58 out of 5, indicating that the training materials were considered relevant, easy to understand, and beneficial for supporting teaching and learning activities. Overall, the program successfully improved participants' AI literacy, understanding of LLM technology, and prompt engineering competencies. Therefore, similar training programs should be implemented continuously to support digital transformation and foster innovation in teaching and learning within Islamic boarding school environments.

Abstract

Flood disasters significantly affect the education sector by damaging school facilities, disrupting learning activities, and reducing students’ psychosocial well-being. Following the flash flood that struck Meureudu, Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh, in November 2025, SMAN 1 Meureudu experienced deterioration of its learning environment and an accumulation of plastic waste. This community service program aimed to restore the learning environment through a participatory art approach based on Acehnese local culture while promoting environmental awareness through plastic waste recycling. A participatory and collaborative approach was implemented involving 30 students divided into five groups. The program consisted of socialization, training, production of educational craft panels, mentoring, evaluation, and sustainability planning. Plastic waste was transformed into five educational craft panels (60 × 80 cm) using a simple thermal lamination technique with an iron and a heat gun. The panels incorporated environmental messages, disaster awareness, Acehnese cultural ornaments, and local language expressions before being installed in classrooms. The program improved the visual quality of learning spaces, enhanced students’ environmental awareness, creativity, and collaboration, and strengthened appreciation of Acehnese cultural identity. This approach demonstrates the potential of participatory art as an innovative and replicable model for post-disaster school recovery and environmental education.
