Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on Indonesia’s trade performance, focusing on exports and imports. Using a quantitative approach with econometric analysis, the research applies multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between exchange rates and trade. The findings reveal that exchange rate depreciation does not always enhance exports as commonly expected; instead, it may increase import costs, affecting overall trade balance. While a weaker Rupiah can make Indonesian goods more affordable in global markets, the extent of its impact depends on factors such as production capacity, global demand, and trade policies. The statistical tests confirm that exchange rate movements have a significant influence on trade performance, with the model demonstrating strong explanatory power. These results highlight the crucial role of exchange rate stability in maintaining a competitive and sustainable trade environment. The study provides valuable insights for policymakers, businesses, and researchers in developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with exchange rate fluctuations and strengthen Indonesia’s position in international trade.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of inflation on purchasing power in Indonesia, analyzing how fluctuations in inflation influence the ability of individuals to meet their basic needs. Utilizing a quantitative research design, the study focuses on the years 2013-2023 and employs various statistical methods, including regression analysis and ANOVA, to explore the relationship between inflation, purchasing power, and economic well-being. The results indicate a significant negative correlation between inflation and purchasing power, with inflation explaining approximately 65% of the variance in purchasing power. The findings highlight that inflation has a pronounced effect on lower-income groups, exacerbating their financial challenges. Moreover, the study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the effects of inflation on purchasing power in Indonesia, offering valuable insights for policymakers. The research emphasizes the importance of controlling inflation to maintain economic stability and enhance the well-being of the population, particularly vulnerable groups.

Abstract

The green economy plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable economic growth by integrating environmental sustainability with economic development. This study examines the impact of green economy initiatives on Indonesia’s economic growth, highlighting key factors such as green investments, technological innovation, and government policies. Using a quantitative approach, this research analyzes data from various economic sectors to assess the effectiveness of green economic practices in driving sustainable development. The findings indicate that green investments and technological advancements significantly contribute to economic growth, while government policies serve as a crucial moderator in accelerating green economic transformation. However, several challenges remain, including high implementation costs, limited infrastructure, and a lack of public awareness regarding the long-term benefits of green practices. To overcome these challenges, collaboration between the government, private sector, and society is essential. Strengthening regulations, providing financial incentives, and increasing education on sustainability are key to enhancing Indonesia’s transition toward a greener economy. This study contributes to the growing literature on green economy implementation in developing countries and provides policy recommendations for improving sustainability-driven economic growth. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of green economic policies in specific industries and their comparative impact across different countries.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of global uncertainty on Indonesia's economic stability in the period 2020-2025. Global uncertainty triggered by various external factors such as the global health crisis (covid-19 pandemic), commodity price fluctuations, changes in international trade policies, and geopolitical tensions, can have a significant impact on the economies of developing countries such as Indonesia. This study examines how global uncertainty affects Indonesia's key economic indicators, including economic growth, inflation, the rupiah exchange rate, and foreign investment flows. The method used in this study is econometric analysis with multiple linear regression model, which involves secondary data from various official sources such as Bank Indonesia, Central Bureau of Statistics, and international institutions. The results of this study are expected to provide a clearer picture of the extent to which global uncertainty affects Indonesia's economic stability and what economic policies need to be taken by the government to maintain economic stability in the face of external threats. In addition, the study will also identify sectors of the economy that are more vulnerable to the impact of global uncertainty and provide policy recommendations that can strengthen Indonesia's economic resilience.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of Financial Literacy on Personal Financial Management among millennials in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, the research investigates the relationship between financial knowledge and the ability to manage personal finances effectively. The findings indicate that financial literacy significantly influences personal financial management, highlighting its critical role in shaping sound financial behaviors. Millennials with higher levels of financial literacy tend to demonstrate better budgeting, saving, and investment habits, reducing the likelihood of debt accumulation and promoting long-term financial stability. Conversely, a lack of financial knowledge often leads to poor financial decisions, such as excessive use of credit cards, inadequate savings, and limited understanding of investment opportunities. This study contributes to the growing body of literature by focusing on the millennial generation in Indonesia, providing practical implications for stakeholders such as policymakers, financial institutions, and educators to enhance financial literacy programs. Tailored financial education initiatives, both in formal education settings and through community outreach programs, are recommended to address the specific needs of this demographic. Future research is encouraged to expand the scope by incorporating additional variables, such as technological adoption in financial management and the influence of socio-economic backgrounds, and employing mixed-method approaches to gain deeper insights into the behavioral aspects of financial decision-making.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has caused various changes in various aspects of life, including in terms of a country's economy. This study examines the effectiveness and contribution of regional taxes to the original regional income of the province of South Sumatra in the period 2021-2023. The results of the analysis using the quantitative descriptive method show that there are fluctuations in the contribution and effectiveness of regional taxes after Covid 19 in South Sumatra. This is understandable considering that a province is in a state of recovery since social restrictions on the community which led to changes in the rate of economic activity that occurred. However, the contribution of regional taxes in South Sumatra is still the largest source of original regional income and is still at a very effective level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how workers in the freelance economy manage time management, skills, income uncertainty, and provide labor protection. The freelance economy offers flexibility for freelancers in determining their own work schedules, but also presents challenges in terms of income stability and labor protection. This study focuses on freelance workers in Surabaya, with research subjects including freelance photographers, website developers, and Gojek drivers. The research method used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with freelance workers. The information obtained was analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and strategies used by freelance workers in managing challenges in their work. The results show that freelance workers implement various strategies in facing their work challenges. In terms of time management, work flexibility allows them to set their own schedules, but without good time discipline, productivity can decline. In terms of skills management, freelance workers must continuously improve their skills through online courses or professional communities to remain competitive. In the face of income uncertainty, freelance workers adopt income diversification and financial planning strategies to mitigate financial risks. In addition, the lack of labor protection is a major problem, where freelance workers do not have access to social security and health insurance, forcing them to seek protection independently. This research has implications for freelance workers, digital platforms, and the government in building a more sustainable freelance economy ecosystem. Clearer regulations are needed to improve freelance worker protection, as well as more transparent policies from digital platforms regarding incentive and rating systems.
