Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new type of coronavirus, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV-2). This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the use of Remdesivir on the outcomes of COVID-19 patients at Embung Fatimah Hospital, Batam City. Remdesivir is the first drug to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) as an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for hospital treatment administered to COVID-19 patients. This type of research is descriptive analytic with retrospective data collection. The analysis uses the Chi-square test to see the relationship between variables. The results obtained based on the gender of male patients by 53%, based on the age of 46-55 years by 32%, and based on the length of treatment the most days were found to be less than 14 days by 65%. The number of uses of Remdesivir in each COVID-19 patient is different, the highest result in the number of uses is less than equal to 6 injections by 81%, with the dose given is 200 mg on the first day, followed by 100 mg on day 2- 5. The results of the Chi-square test with a p-value of 0.029 show that the use of Remdesivir on the outcome of COVID-19 patients can be used.

Abstract

Penggunaan hand sanitizer untuk menjaga kebersihan tangan sangat penting untuk menghindari berbagai penyakit akibat infeksi oleh bakteri pathogen. Sediaan hand sanitizer seperti alkohol dan triklosan sangat berbahaya jika digunakan secara terus-menerus. Buah dan kulit nanas memiliki senyawa antibakteri yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sediaan hand sanitizer. Tujuan dari literature review ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi senyawa antibakteri daging buah dan kulit nanas sebagai hand sanitizer alami. Metode studi literatur ini dibuat dengan menganalisis artikel-artikel hasil penelitian yang dipublikasi pada tahun 2016 sampai 2020. Data didapat dengan menggunakan kata kunci pada beberapa search engine Google Scholar, PubMed, dan Garuda. Hasil studi literatur ini didapatkan sebanyak 14 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil analisis review artikel menunjukkan bahwa buah dan kulit nanas memiliki senyawa metabolit sekunder berupa flavonoid, tannin, alkaloid, steroid dan terpenoid serta bromelain sebagai zat antimikroba. Ekstrak buah dan kulit nanas dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri gram positif dan gram negatif yaitu, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella thypii, Xanthomonus, Bacillus subtilis, Azotobacter, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio cholera dan K. pneumoniae. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa kulit nanas lebih potensial dijadikan sebagai sediaan sediaan hand sanitizer alami dibandingkan dengan daging buahnya karena memiliki senyawa antibakteri yang kuat terhadap bakteri pathogen dan memiliki pH yang baik untuk kulit.

Abstract

Kondisi wabah virus corona (Covid-19) yang memasuki Indonesia membuat beberapa daerah di wilayah Indonesia menerapkan pembatasan sosial berskala besar. Penerapan ini membatasi masyarakat dari aktivitas sosial atau kerumunan, sehingga para pekerja dan pelajar melaksakan work from home dan school from home. Kondisi ini tentu mempengaruhi berkurangnya aktivitas kendaraan bermotor, yang tentunya akan mempengaruhi kadar polutan di udara khususnya PM10. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan pembatasan sosial terhadap parameter PM10 di wilayah Serpong. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah dengan membandingkan data PM10 dan parameter meteorologis pada bulan Februari 2020, yaitu sebelum diterapkan Pembatasan sosial dan Maret 2020, yaitu sesudah diterapkan Pembatasan sosial. Data-data tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara temporal dan spasial menggunakan package openair pada perangkat lunak R-studio. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan kondisi PM10 yang relatif lebih tinggi pada bulan Maret 2020 dibandingkan pada bulan Februari 2020. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi pembatasan sosial tidak mempengaruhi paramater PM10 di wilayah Serpong dan kondisi meteorologis lebih mempengaruhi persebaran dari PM10.

Abstract

One of the most important needs of everyone is electricity, from households to industries. In recent years, electricity sources are still dependent on fossil fuels where energy sources from fossils will continue to decrease for several years to come. This condition requires us to look for renewable energy to support our daily lives. One of the well-known sources of renewable energy is from the sun, which can be utilized by energy conversion devices called solar cells. Countries located on the equator such as Indonesia are blessed with abundant sunshine throughout the year. Therefore, the application of solar cells with photovoltaic (PV) technology utilizes sunlight to be converted into electricity. Although this technology is emerging very quickly, there are still drawbacks due to the current use of PV technology, its environmental impact and economic feasibility. Life cycle assessment is a method or way to analyze and evaluate the sustainability of a PV system and its environmental impact. This paper presents a literature study of 'PV systems from cradle to gate', starting with material selection (from first generation and possibly fourth generation), manufacturing process, implementation, and ending with after-life effects. of the PV module. 'The result of this study is to show insight into the application of PV systems in Indonesia, starting from the best materials, the best application methods, energy return times, and finally the possibility of recycling PV materials after their lifetime. starting with the choice of material (from the first generation and possibly the fourth generation), the manufacturing process, implementation, and ending with the life effect of the PV module

Abstract

Formasi Peneta terbentuk di Cekungan Sumatra Selatan bagian tengah, tepatnya bagian busur depan. Formasi ini terendapkan akibat adanya proses subduksi fragmen Woyla Arc dengan West Sumatra Block pada zaman Kapur, sehingga salah satunya membentuk batuan sedimen klastik yakni batupasir. Batupasir pada daerah penelitian yang tersebar luas dengan karakteristik bervariasi, sehingga batuan asalnya mudah dilakukan. Berdasarkan proporsi kuarsa, feldspar, dan fragmen batuan, batupasir Formasi Peneta masuk ke dalam tipe lithic arkose, lithic arenite, dan argillaceous sandstone. Kemudian, setelah dilakukan analisa provenance, batupasir Formasi Peneta berasal dari Recycle Orogen, tepatnya pada subzona Subduction Complex Sources. Selain itu, batupasir Peneta juga menunjukkan adanya asal Magmatic-Arc. Sehingga, Diterjemahkan bahwa batupasir Formasi Peneta telah mengalami beberapa kali proses evaluasi akibat aktivitas tektonik dan telah mengalami peningkatan atau perbaikan dari Continental Block Provenances. Selain itu, dipengaruhi juga oleh proses pelapukan tinggian granit ataupun material vulkanisme lain, baik vulkanik atau plutonik.

Abstract

Data curah hujan di Indonesia saat ini dilakukan dengan pengamatan in situ, yang memungkinkan adanya data yang kosong karena kesalahan observer ataupun karena adanya alat yang rusak. Satelit TRMM merupakan salah satu satelit yang banyak dimanfaatkan untuk mengisi data curah hujan yang kosong di Indonesia. penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui hasil akurasi antara data estimasi curah hujan satelit TRMM 3B42 dengan data pengamatan permukaan yang bersumber dari Stasiun Metorologi Sangia Ni Bandera Kolaka pada tahun 2019. Kedua data diuji secara statistik dengan menggunakan metode perhitungan koefisien korelasi, perhitungan eror dengan metode Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), dan uji signifikansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan terbaik dihasilkan oleh periode bulan kering dibanding pada bulan basah. Secara umum, dalam grafik timeseries data satelit dan data observasi menunjukkan pola fluktuasi yang cukup sama, namun dalam beberpa kejadian data satelit TRMM jauh lebih kecil dibanding data observasi. Skala waktu terbaik pada hubungan kedua data adalah pada skala waktu dasarian, karena menghasilkan hasil yang signifikan untuk semua periode bulan, serta memiliki nilai korelasi yang tinggi dengan nilai eror yang kecil.

Abstract

Blended learning is a combination of different learning environments such as face-to-face learning (classroom lesson) with computer-based learning medium in the classroom combined with e-learning learning using the OpenLearning of Learning Management System (LMS) media compared to distance learning (virtual). This study aims to determine the effect of learning with the blended learning model in terms of learning motivation on student learning outcomes in the biology education study program of FKIP UMS. The type of this research is quasi-experimental quantitative research. The results of the study include: a) There is an effect of using Blended Learning with E-learning learning models on student learning outcomes; and b). There is an influence of strong, medium, and low learning motivation on student learning outcomes. It was concluded that learning the Blended Learning model by combining LMS OpenLearning and classroom lessons has an impact on increasing student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Muara Enim Formation is a rock formation in the South Sumatra basin that is of late Miocene – Pliocene age which is composed of sandstone, claystone and coal lithologies. The research activity was carried out in Perangai village, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra. This study focuses on petrographic analysis and analysis of rock origin in the Muara Enim formation in sandstone lithology. This research was conducted on sandstone obtained from sandstone outcrops in the research area that have fine sand to coarse sand. From the results of the study of 6 sandstone samples analyzed by petrography, 2 types of Sublitharenite sandstone, 3 types of arcose lithic sandstone, and 1 type of Feldspatic litharenite sandstone according to the Folk Classification, et al. (1970) and based on the results of the provenance analysis of QFL and QmFLt Diagram Dickinson (1983), it was found that the sandstone of the Muara Enim Formation is of high origin which is influenced by the Recycled Orogen tectonic process which shows that the source of the original rock has been affected several times by tectonic activities such as the lifting process and the presence of total quartz mineral content which is more dominating than feldspar and lithik minerals. Formasi Muara Enim adalah formasi batuan yang ada di cekungan Sumatera Selatan yang beumur Miosen akhir – Pliosen yang tersusun atas litologi batupasir, batulempung dan batubara. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan didesa Perangai, Kabupaten Lahat, Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis petrografi dan analisis asal batuan pada formasi Muara Enim pada litologi batupasir. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada batupasir yang diperoleh dari singkapan batupasir pada daerah penelitian yang memiliki ukuran butir halus sampai dengan kasar. Dari hasil penelitian 6 sampel batupasir yang dianalisis petrografi didapat 2 jenis batupasir Sublitharenite, 3 jenis batupasir Lithic Arkose, dan 1 jenis batupasir Feldspatic litharenite menurut Klasifikasi Folk, dkk (1970) dan berdasarkan hasil analisis provenance presentase QFL dan QmFLt Diagram Dickinson (1983), didapatkan bahwa batupasir Formasi Muara Enim berasal tinggian yang dipengaruhi oleh proses tektonik Recycled Orogen yang menunjukkan bahwa sumber batuan asal telah beberapa kali dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas tektonik seperti proses pengangkatan dan keterdapatan kandungan mineral kuarsa total yang lebih mendominasi dibandingkan mineral feldspar dan lithik.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of Virtual Reality (VR)–based learning media for practicum activities in Local Area Network (LAN) and Fiber Optic (FO) cabling. The method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D development model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Three-dimensional assets were developed using Blender and integrated into Unity 3D with the C# programming language, then implemented on Oculus devices to produce an interactive and immersive virtual laboratory simulation. The feasibility testing was conducted through validation by media experts and subject-matter experts, as well as user trials employing the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results of expert validation showed a percentage of 88% from media experts and 92% from subject-matter experts, both categorized as highly feasible. User testing involving 20 students yielded an average SUS score of 70 (grade C/OK), indicating that the application is acceptable and suitable for use. The findings demonstrate that the VR media is capable of realistically visualizing the procedures of LAN cable crimping and fiber optic slicing, thereby supporting students’ conceptual understanding and practical skills. Therefore, this VR-based learning media is feasible to be utilized as an innovative alternative in computer network practicum learnin.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital payment services in Indonesia has increased the adoption of digital wallets, including ShopeePay. While the integration of technologies associated with the Fourth Industrial Revolution enhances transaction efficiency and convenience, it also raises concerns regarding security and data protection. This study examines the effects of perceived security and perceived risk on users’ continuance intention to use ShopeePay. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 76 ShopeePay users. The analysis involved evaluation of both the measurement model (outer model) and the structural model (inner model). The results indicate that all constructs meet the criteria for convergent validity and reliability, although the risk construct shows relatively lower internal consistency. Structural model analysis reveals that perceived security has a positive and significant effect on continuance intention, with a strong effect size. In contrast, perceived risk does not significantly influence continuance intention and is not significantly affected by perceived security. These findings suggest that security is a more dominant factor than risk in shaping continued use of ShopeePay. The study provides practical implications for digital payment providers to strengthen security systems and enhance communication regarding data protection, while contributing to the literature on continuance intention in fintech services.
