Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Jala'ul Afkar Hadith memorization system in improving the spiritual intelligence and memory of students at the Al-Washoya Kertorejo Ngoro Jombang Islamic Boarding School. Using a qualitative approach with interviews, observation, and documentation methods, this study examines the hadith learning process that combines aspects of memorization, understanding, and internalization of values. The hadith memorization system is implemented through three stages: preparation, implementation, and deposit. The learning methods used are bandongan and talaqqi. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Jala'ul Afkar Hadith memorization system plays a significant role in improving the spiritual intelligence of students, especially in the aspects of piety and patience. The memorization process also contributes to improving cognitive abilities through organizing information, automation, and optimizing short-term knowledge storage capacity. Obstacles in implementing this system include difficulty in memorizing for students who are not serious, students' laziness in memorizing lessons, and loss of memorization because they are not repeated routinely. This study provides theoretical contributions to the discourse of integration of neuroscience and traditional Islamic education, as well as practical contributions in the form of a learning model that can be a prototype for other Islamic boarding schools in optimizing the potential of spiritual intelligence and memory of students.

This research analyzes the application of frugal living as a strategy to strengthen Islamic values, particularly zuhd (asceticism) and qana'ah (contentment), among young mothers through non-formal Islamic education in Plosokerep Village, Sumobito, Jombang. As consumerism increases, even in rural areas, it is important to equip people with values that promote simple living rooted in Islamic teachings. This descriptive qualitative research used interview methods, participatory observation, and documentation of educational activities at the local Muslimah recitation group. The findings show that when frugal living is framed with Islamic principles, the participants experience increased awareness of the importance of contentment, wise financial management, and inner peace. This research contributes to the development of community-based Islamic education as an effective means to internalize spiritual values in daily life. The conclusion emphasizes that frugal living is not just an economic lifestyle, but a contextual tool to build spiritual character.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of using an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) as a learning medium in enhancing the motivation to learn Arabic among students at STAI Sabilul Muttaqin Mojokerto. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this study, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of IWB significantly increased students' motivation to learn, as demonstrated by four main indicators: (1) Attention, which showed an increase in focus and interest during lessons; (2) Relevance, where the material was more easily understood due to its connection to real-life contexts; (3) Confidence, where students became more active and willing to participate in the learning process; and (4) Satisfaction, where students expressed a sense of enjoyment and fulfillment in their learning experiences. These findings suggest that IWB can be an effective and innovative alternative in Arabic language learning at higher education institutions, especially in creating an interactive, engaging, and motivating learning environment.

Abstract

Most teachers still apply conventional lecture methods and do not utilize positive behavioral reinforcement techniques or interactive social learning models in Islamic Religious Education learning, so that students' critical thinking skills and ability to connect religious teachings with the context of everyday life are underdeveloped. Recent research shows that these two approaches complement each other in creating an effective and adaptive learning process to the needs of today's students. To see and understand it, by using a qualitative approach, namely descriptive research with a focus on analysis, the author conducted a study. This study uses a literature review as its approach. By reading, recording, analyzing, and utilizing library data collection methods. After being collected, the data is analyzed using a methodology that begins with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Both of these approaches have an influence on learning and behavior. However, while behaviorism emphasizes the importance of reinforcement and punishment from the external environment, social cognitive theory emphasizes how individuals actively process and assess information received from their environment. These behavioristic and social cognitive approaches complement each other in Islamic Religious Education learning. The behavioral approach helps understand how behavior can be shaped through external stimuli, while the social cognitive approach explains how internal factors such as thoughts, emotions, and social experiences influence behavior.

Researchers use a type of qualitative research method with an empirical approach, then the data collection method the author gets through observation, interviews, and documentation. the data sources that researchers obtained were from the school principal, several PAI teachers, several students, and school social media, such as websites and Instagram. After all the data has been collected, the next stage is the data analysis technique by means of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification, including the data validity technique by triangulation and consisting of source, technical, and time triangulation. The results of this research are that PAI teachers have implemented active learning strategies using various learning models to suit learning needs, PAI teachers also always encourage students, and in every school, there are motivational words for students. And the supporting factor is the availability of school facilities to make learning easier, then the inhibiting factor is the condition of the classrooms, which are hallways that disrupt the learning of other classes.
