Abstract

This article examines waqf from the perspective of Qur’anic exegesis and hadith ahkam to clarify its normative foundations and implications for contemporary Islamic law. Although the term waqf is not explicitly mentioned in the Qur’an, its core principles are embedded in verses concerning infaq, sadaqah, and the management of wealth for public benefit. This study employs a qualitative library research method using a descriptive-analytical approach to classical and contemporary Qur’anic commentaries, as well as authoritative collections of legal hadith. The findings indicate that the Qur’an provides the ethical and normative framework of waqf through the principle of sustainable charity, while hadith ahkam offer concrete legal legitimacy, particularly through the concept of sadaqah jariyah and the practice of waqf initiated by the Prophet’s companions. From the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, waqf functions as a strategic legal instrument to promote social justice, protect wealth, and ensure long-term public welfare. The study further argues that contextual interpretation of Qur’anic verses and hadith supports the development of contemporary waqf practices, including productive and cash waqf, as long as they remain consistent with sharia principles. Therefore, integrating Qur’anic exegesis and hadith ahkam is essential to strengthening the legitimacy and adaptability of waqf within modern Islamic legal frameworks.

Abstract

Those who give and manage zakat, infaq, and shodaqoh (alms) contribute and play a part in solving various current community issues, one of which is helping underprivileged communities create a smart, healthy, and competitive society. Therefore, to strengthen and structure the zakat system and other forms of zakat, its implementation must be managed by an institution known as the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS). The goal is to ensure a professional, optimal, and effective zakat system and management. The formulation of the problem in this study includes the following: first, how to optimize the role of BAZNAS Bondowoso Regency in realizing a smart society. Second, How to optimize the role of BAZNAS Bondowoso Regency in realizing a healthy society. Third, how to optimize the role of BAZNAS Bondowoso Regency in realizing a competitive society. Optimization of the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) based on the theory of the basic concept of zakat institutions and their existing strategies.

Abstract

This study analyses the dynamics of power and organisational politics in Islamic educational institutions, particularly classical and modern Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, using a literature review approach. Islamic boarding schools, which historically centred on the charismatic authority of the kiai, are now transforming in response to the demands of modernisation, which is driving a shift towards more rational and bureaucratic management. A comparative analysis of ten recent scientific articles reveals significant differences in sources of legitimacy, power structures, decision-making mechanisms, external relations, resource management, and conflict resolution between the two models of Islamic boarding schools. Traditional pesantren rely on the personal authority of the kiai and patron-client relationships, while modern pesantren employ legal-rational structures, managerial expertise, and external connections. These findings indicate an urgent need to develop a grand theory of Islamic education management that can accommodate the broad spectrum between community and bureaucratic models, as well as consider socio-cultural and political influences. This study contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of pesantren governance, highlighting the importance of integrating Islamic values with organisational efficiency

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational leadership in optimizing school cooperatives as a medium for entrepreneurship learning. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by synthesizing relevant scientific literature published over the last ten years. The analysis is conducted descriptively and analytically by integrating findings related to cooperative management, student engagement, and educational leadership. The results indicate that school cooperatives play a strategic role in fostering students’ entrepreneurial spirit, particularly when managed systematically through planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling functions. Furthermore, active student participation in cooperative activities enhances independence, creativity, responsibility, and risk-taking through an experiential learning approach. Participatory and transformational educational leadership is also crucial in creating a conducive learning environment and optimizing the educational function of school cooperatives. The contribution of this study lies in strengthening the conceptual framework that integrates cooperative management, student engagement, and educational leadership as a unified system in entrepreneurship education. However, this study is limited by the absence of empirical field data. Therefore, further research using empirical approaches is recommended to obtain more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for optimizing the capital structure of school cooperatives to improve performance and ensure business sustainability. The study is motivated by the limited capital capacity of school cooperatives, which is influenced by low member participation, weak managerial practices, and dependence on external funding sources. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research design by reviewing relevant scientific sources such as journal articles, books, and academic publications. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by identifying, categorizing, and synthesizing findings from previous studies. The results indicate that the capital of school cooperatives is derived from internal sources and external loans, yet its growth remains limited. The main challenges include low member participation, limited managerial capacity, and suboptimal use of technology in cooperative management. Therefore, capital optimization strategies should focus on enhancing member participation, strengthening management capacity, diversifying business units, and expanding partnerships alongside digital transformation. This study contributes theoretically to the development of cooperative management studies and practically provides insights for school cooperative managers in designing more effective and sustainable strategies

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low narrative writing skills of elementary school students, particularly in developing ideas, organizing story structures coherently, and using appropriate language features. This condition is caused by learning activities that are still dominated by conventional methods and the limited use of engaging and contextual learning media. Students need visual and interactive learning media, while teachers require instructional media that support active learning and integrate local wisdom values. Therefore, this study aimed to develop comic-based learning media integrating the local wisdom of Adat Ngayikkah using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in teaching narrative writing to fourth-grade students. This study employed a development research method with a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research subjects consisted of 17 fourth-grade students at MI Al-Ikhlas Tanjung Sakti. The research instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and narrative writing skill tests. The results showed that students’ initial narrative writing ability was still low, with a mastery percentage of 23.5% (4 students achieved mastery). After the implementation of the Adat Ngayikkah comicbased learning media using the Project Based Learning model, the mastery percentage increased to 52.9% (9 students achieved mastery). Student responses to the comic media were categorized as very good with a percentage of 100%, and teacher responses indicated positive perceptions of the media use. Expert validation results showed that the comic media had a very high level of validity, with a material validity coefficient of 1.00, language validity of 0.89, and graphic validity of 0.89. Therefore, the Adat Ngayikkah comic-based learning media using the Project Based Learning model is feasible to be used as an alternative learning medium in Indonesian language instruction to improve elementary school students’ narrative writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the influence of the school environment on elementary students’ learning outcomes through a literature review approach. The method employed is a systematic literature review following PRISMA guidelines in the process of identifying, selecting, and evaluating relevant scholarly articles from academic databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science. The inclusion criteria consist of publications within the last ten years, topic relevance, and adequate methodological quality. The data were analyzed using content analysis to identify key themes related to the physical, social, and psychological aspects of the school environment. The findings reveal that the school environment has a significant influence on students’ learning outcomes, both directly and indirectly through the enhancement of motivation and learning engagement. A supportive school environment contributes to the creation of effective, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences. Furthermore, the interaction between environmental factors and internal aspects such as students’ interest and motivation plays a crucial role in determining academic achievement. This study provides theoretical contributions by enriching the discourse on external factors in learning and offers practical implications for policymakers in designing optimal learning environments

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teacher professionalism and the effectiveness of differentiated instruction in implementing Kurikulum Merdeka through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on PRISMA guidelines. From 187 initial articles searched through Google Scholar, ERIC, Scopus, and SINTA for the period 2015-2025, 20 studies were selected as primary sources. Data analysis employed open coding, axial coding, and selective coding with validation through source triangulation, audit trail, and peer debriefing. The research identified four main themes: (1) pedagogical competence as the dominant factor in differentiation quality; (2) weak diagnostic assessment as a link between professionalism and differentiation; (3) theory-practice gap and operational barriers; (4) Islamic tarbiyah dimension as a distinguishing factor yet underutilized. Findings reveal a structural paradox where 80% of teachers understand differentiation but only 35% implement it fully due to systemic barriers such as high administrative burden, limited ICT infrastructure, and minimal principal support. This study concludes that differentiation effectiveness in MI depends on three simultaneous conditions: madrasah structural support, continuous professional development, and integration of tarbiyah into technical competencies. Research limitations include the dominance of descriptive-exploratory studies without strong causal designs and limited geographical distribution in Java-Sulawesi, thus requiring longitudinal or mixed-methods research for deeper validation

Abstract

Character building in elementary school students is a crucial issue in education, particularly amid the challenges of moral crises and social changes in the technological era. Educational philosophy is viewed as a fundamental foundation for designing values, goals, and educational practices oriented toward character development. This study aims to analyze the role of educational philosophy in shaping the character of elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This study employs the SLR method, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, through a systematic process of identification, selection, and synthesis of the literature. The literature search was conducted using databases such as Google Scholar, SINTA, and reputable international journals within the publication range of 2020–2025. Of the 72 identified articles, 18 met the inclusion criteria and were further analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that educational philosophy, particularly the streams of idealism, pragmatism, and progressivism, plays a significant role in shaping students’ character values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and empathy. The integration of these three philosophical approaches has been proven to produce more holistic, contextual, and applicable learning processes in students’ daily lives. Furthermore, the implementation of philosophical values in learning enhances students’ moral awareness and positive behavior. Therefore, educational philosophy has a strategic role as a conceptual foundation in character building for elementary school students. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating philosophical values into the curriculum, learning strategies, and the role of teachers as role models in instilling character values sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between inclusive education and Hadith values and to formulate a Hadith based inclusive learning model within Islamic education context The research uses a qualitative library approach by analyzing Hadith books and relevant scholarly articles The findings show that equality justice and compassion in inclusive education align with Hadith values on seeking knowledge fairness and mercy Inclusivity in Islam emphasizes not only access but also proportional treatment based on learners needs and humane interaction The study proposes a Hadith based inclusive learning model integrating equality justice and compassion into planning implementation and evaluation processes Furthermore the findings indicate that integrating Hadith values into pedagogy strengthens affective and social dimensions of learners while improving teacher student relationships This approach encourages flexible adaptive and student centered learning practices that accommodate diverse abilities backgrounds and characteristics more effectively Therefore the proposed model is not only theoretically grounded but also practically applicable in contemporary Islamic education which requires fairness inclusivity and sustainability in instructional processes and classroom management Moreover it supports holistic development by linking cognitive emotional and spiritual aspects of learning experiences for all students regardless of their conditions or social backgrounds in diverse educational settings This ensures that inclusive education becomes meaningful transformative and aligned with ethical and religious values in practice for sustainable learning outcomes
