Abstract

The issue addressed in this study is that 60% of students scored below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) in the Fiqh subject, specifically in KD 3.5, which focuses on analyzing the rules of zakat. This underperformance was linked to the use of conventional teaching methods. To address this, the study implemented an action plan consisting of two cycles, with each cycle comprising three meetings. Each meeting included introductory activities, core learning sessions, and closing reflections. This classroom action research (CAR) was supported by relevant theories and qualitative research methods, along with the necessary data collection instruments. The theoretical framework focused on zakat-related issues, while the methodology involved qualitative analysis. Observation tools were used to monitor both student behavior during the learning process and teacher performance, including lesson planning and instructional delivery. Following the two cycles and six total meetings, observational data revealed improvements in student performance. Analysis of these findings led to the conclusion that the Card Sort learning model effectively enhanced student learning outcomes. Based on these results, it is recommended that traditional teaching methods be replaced with more suitable, interactive approaches—particularly in teaching fiqh, and especially for topics such as the provisions of zakat.

Abstract

This study seeks to enhance the fine motor skills of early childhood learners through the implementation of structured and progressive sewing activities. Employing a classroom action research methodology, the study adopts the Kurt Lewin model, which consists of four systematic stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted with Group A kindergarten students as the primary subjects. Data collection incorporated both qualitative and quantitative methods, utilizing observation and interview techniques to gather comprehensive insights into the children's motor skill development. The intervention involved introducing sewing activities in a gradual and developmentally appropriate manner, allowing children to build skills progressively over time. The findings of the study demonstrate a positive impact of gradual sewing activities on the development of fine motor skills among early learners. Observable improvements were recorded in each cycle, indicating consistent and significant progress in students' ability to perform tasks that require fine motor coordination. These enhancements were particularly evident in the children's increased precision, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that gradual sewing activities represent an effective and practical strategy for supporting fine motor skill development in early childhood education. The structured nature of the activities, combined with their engaging and hands-on approach, makes them a valuable addition to the learning environment. As such, educators are encouraged to consider incorporating similar activities into early childhood curricula to foster motor development in a purposeful and enjoyable manner.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) method in enhancing student learning outcomes on the topic of prayer etiquette and dhikr at MTs S Al-Qornis Pamarayan. As a cooperative learning model, STAD emphasizes collaborative learning within heterogeneous student groups. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the research involved eighth-grade students divided into an experimental group (taught using the STAD method) and a control group (taught using conventional methods). Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and questionnaires, and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The findings revealed that students in the STAD group demonstrated significantly higher learning outcomes, greater participation in group discussions, increased motivation, and improved understanding of the material compared to the control group. Moreover, the STAD approach fostered a more interactive and enjoyable classroom environment, encouraging students to confidently express their ideas and benefit from peer collaboration. These results suggest that STAD not only enhances academic performance but also supports the development of social skills. Therefore, the STAD method presents a viable and effective alternative for educators seeking to promote active, cooperative, and meaningful learning experiences in the classroom.
