Abstract

Nowdays, an Arabic learning and teaching in Indonesia currently has experience various developments and renewals. One of these developments and renewals was the emergence of Arabic learning and teaching model in the style of Arabic debate based on constructivist learning theories. This study aims to applicate constructivist theories in learning arabic. This research was qualitative research with an applied research approach. The research sample was students of Hasyim Asy’ari University Jombang with the research instrument was the researcher himself. While the data analysis that used in this research was descriptive analysis. The results showed that constructivist theories can be applied to Arabic learning and teaching with an Arabic debate, concidering with the principle of constructivist theories that the learning was mostly done with social groups and the students construct their own knowledge, while educators only act as facilitators which help students to build their own knowledge through higher order thinking skills (HOTS) especially on the analysis process.

Abstract

The GBA (Gemar Berbahasa Arab) application is an Arabic language learning media developed for eighth-grade students at MTsN 6 Hulu Sungai Utara. Designed as an M-Learning platform, it allows students to study Arabic anytime and anywhere without requiring internet access. Although not yet available on the Play Store, the app is distributed via WhatsApp. The content is adapted from textbook material, then developed into a digital format to enhance learning.This study aims to provide an alternative Arabic learning tool during online learning periods, introduce students to mobile-based learning experiences, and contribute to Arabic language education. Using a Research and Development (R\&D) method, the researcher conducted interviews, digitized learning material, developed and edited the app, and validated it with three experts in media, content, and design. The application was then tested by ten student representatives. Results show that the GBA app is feasible and effective, with positive expert validation and student responses. The study also outlines the app development process, validation results, and student feedback. Overall, the GBA app offers a creative and engaging approach to Arabic learning and encourages educators to innovate by integrating technology into language education.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to create a QuizWhizzer-based assessment tool in Arabic for the Ash-Shihhah subject, intended for eleventh-grade pupils at MA Unggulan K. H. Abd. Wahab Hasbulloh. The ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and assessment phases, is the framework used for the creation of this tool. The media is designed to align with student needs, curriculum requirements, and the characteristics of the learning material. The implementation was carried out in the classroom through interactive evaluation activities presented in the form of an educational game. The results show that QuizWhizzer successfully increased students’ motivation and engagement, and significantly improved their learning outcomes. This improvement is evidenced by an N-Gain Score of 0.7838, categorized as high, and an N-Gain percentage of 78.38%, categorized as effective. Additionally, the media provides a more meaningful learning experience by encouraging active participation, independent work, and healthy competition among students. Therefore, QuizWhizzer is effective as an interactive evaluation tool in Arabic language learning, particularly for the Ash-Shihhah material.

Abstract

The game-based learning media Educaplay Froggy Jumps is intended to increase the interactivity of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students when learning Arabic. Students can be motivated to learn Arabic through this game, which combines entertainment and educational elements. Needs analysis, media design, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of learning media are all part of this research methodology. The research results show that interactive game media such as Educaplay Froggy Jumps significantly increase student participation and interaction when learning Arabic. Students are also more enthusiastic and active in understanding Arabic vocabulary and sentence structures. In conclusion, this research shows that interactive game media such as Educaplay Froggy Jumps can be an effective tool for learning foreign languages ​​at the elementary level. Abstract

Linguistics holds an essential role in Arabic language instruction at the university level, as it supports the development of structured and meaningful linguistic understanding. Learning Arabic involves not only the acquisition of language skills but also a thorough comprehension of the language system, including phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. This study aims to explore how linguistic studies contribute to the enhancement of students’ Arabic language competence in higher education. The research adopts a qualitative approach through a library-based method by examining scholarly literature related to Arabic linguistics and Arabic language education. The findings reveal that incorporating linguistic perspectives into the learning process enables students to gain a deeper understanding of Arabic grammatical structures, reduces language-related errors, and strengthens analytical language abilities. In addition, a linguistic approach facilitates the design of more effective learning strategies that emphasize conceptual understanding. Consequently, linguistics serves as a crucial theoretical foundation for Arabic language learning in higher education to promote the continuous development of students’ language competence.

Abstract

Arabic is one of the languages that has a complex sound system. The sound system of Arabic consists of three vowel letters and twenty-eight consonant letters. These letters are used to create beautiful and meaningful Arabic words and phrases. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. To gain insights into linguistic conflicts in Papua, the research was conducted through language observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. It plays a very important role in its phonetic system. Consonants in Arabic are distinguished based on their place and manner of articulation, while vowels can significantly alter the meaning of words. The research findings indicate that learning to write kanji requires significant time and effort, but it can provide valuable benefits in understanding Japanese language and culture.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in higher education has distinctive characteristics, as it is not solely oriented toward communicative competence but also functions as a medium for academic development and Islamic studies. In this context, linguistics plays an essential role as a theoretical foundation for designing, implementing, and evaluating Arabic language instruction. This study aims to examine the role of linguistics in Arabic language learning at the university level, particularly in supporting students’ language skill development. The research employs a library-based method with a qualitative descriptive approach through an analysis of relevant literature and previous studies on linguistics, Arabic language curricula, and Arabic language teaching practices in higher education. The findings indicate that an understanding of linguistic components—such as phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and vocabulary—contributes significantly to the effectiveness of Arabic language learning. Furthermore, the integration of linguistic perspectives into curriculum design and instructional strategies assists lecturers in identifying students’ learning difficulties and in developing more communicative and contextual learning processes. Therefore, the systematic application of linguistics in Arabic language learning at the higher education level is a key factor in enhancing students’ overall Arabic language competence

Abstract

Arabic language learning in higher education involves a high level of complexity, as it is not solely aimed at developing communicative competence but also serves as a medium for academic development and the deepening of Islamic studies. Therefore, a strong theoretical foundation is required to ensure that the learning process is systematic and effective. Modern linguistics offers a relevant conceptual framework for analyzing language structure, meaning, and use within the context of instruction. This study aims to examine Arabic language learning in higher education from the perspective of modern linguistics, particularly in relation to phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research, involving the analysis of books, scholarly articles, and other relevant sources. The findings indicate that the application of modern linguistic perspectives contributes significantly to the design of instructional materials, the selection of teaching methods, and the evaluation of Arabic language learning in higher education. Accordingly, the integration of modern linguistics plays an important role in improving the quality and effectiveness of Arabic language instruction at the tertiary level.
