Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of bullying, victims' self-esteem, the psychosocial impacts experienced, and the strategies used by guidance and counseling (BK) teachers in building student resilience at SMPN 23 Tangerang. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design involving two BK teachers, members of the PIK-R (Regional Student Activity Unit), and four student victims of bullying. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The results showed that victims with low to moderate self-esteem experienced fear, social trauma, decreased motivation to learn, social isolation, and suicidal thoughts. BK teachers developed resilience through individual counseling, strengthening social support, emotional support, and collaboration with parents. The study findings emphasize the importance of resilience-based BK services to support victim recovery and create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using concrete universal indicators in identifying the acid-base properties of everyday materials for elementary school students. The abstract concept of acids and bases is difficult for students to grasp without concrete visualizations in the classroom. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, involving practical experiments with lime, vinegar, toothpaste, and soap. The results showed that the universal indicators produced contrasting color changes: red for acids, green for neutral substances, and blue for bases.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' low interest in learning mathematics, particularly in the topic of repeated addition among third-grade students at SDN 60 Salubattang. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the needs analysis for media development, as well as the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a counting learning media assisted by a Spinning Wheel Number on repeated addition material. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of one teacher and 18 third-grade students of SDN 60 Salubattang. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and tests. The results showed that the media achieved a validity score of 83.33% from the media expert and 100% from the material expert, both categorized as very valid. The practicality assessment obtained scores of 96% from students and 95% from the teacher, indicating that the media was very practical. The effectiveness test resulted in an N-Gain score of 0.58, which falls into the moderately effective category. The implications of this study are that teachers can utilize the Spinning Wheel Number media as an innovative instructional medium in mathematics learning to help students understand the concept of repeated addition in a more concrete way. This media can serve as an engaging and interactive learning alternative to increase the learning interest of third-grade students at State Elementary School 60 Salubattang. Thus, the Spinning Wheel Number media is appropriate for use in mathematics learning on the topic of repeated addition.

Abstract

This study aims to describe PGMI students’ views on learning objectives, learning materials, and the relationship between the two within the perspective of humanistic education. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 40 PGMI students at IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a 24-item questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis with percentages. The findings showed that PGMI students’ views on learning objectives were in the very good category, with a percentage of 86.2%, while their views on learning materials were also in the very good category, with a percentage of 86.82%. In addition, PGMI students demonstrated a very good level of understanding regarding the relationship between learning objectives and learning materials within the perspective of humanistic education. These findings indicate that PGMI students have a very good understanding of the importance of learning objectives and learning materials that humanize learners.

Abstract

Strengthening character education is one of the main focuses of basic education in Indonesia, including at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level. However, the implementation of character education in learning still faces various obstacles, such as the dominance of cognitive-oriented learning, the lack of integration of character values in the learning process, and the lack of a learning model that is able to develop the intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and moral aspects of students in an integrated manner. This research aims to develop a character-based holistic learning model that is valid, practical, and effective to be applied to Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and expert validation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively by measuring the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the model. The results of the study show that the character-based holistic learning model developed obtained a very valid category based on expert assessment, very practical based on the implementation of learning and teacher responses, and effective in improving the character of students. The developed model integrates religious values, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, social care, and independence through meaningful learning experiences. The novelty of this research lies in the development of a learning model that integrates a holistic approach, character education, madasah culture, and family involvement in one structured learning system. The research findings contribute to the development of innovative learning models that support the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile and the Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.
