Abstract

Background: The integration of digital media in education has grown significantly, with e-comics emerging as an engaging alternative to conventional teaching tools. Specific Background: In history education, traditional media such as PowerPoint may not sufficiently stimulate student engagement or accommodate diverse cognitive abilities. Knowledge Gap: Limited empirical evidence exists regarding the interplay between e-comic media and students' critical thinking abilities in influencing learning outcomes. Aims: This study investigates the impact of e-comic media and critical thinking ability on history learning outcomes among class XI students at SMAN 84 West Jakarta. Results: Using a 2x2 factorial design and two-way ANOVA, findings reveal a significant difference in learning outcomes between students taught with e-comics and those with PowerPoint, favoring the former. However, no direct effect of critical thinking ability alone was observed. Importantly, a significant interaction effect between media type and critical thinking ability was identified. Novelty: The study demonstrates that the effectiveness of e-comic media is moderated by students’ critical thinking levels—both low and high-level thinkers benefit more from e-comics compared to PowerPoint. Implications: These findings suggest that e-comic media can serve as an effective and adaptive instructional tool in history education, supporting differentiated learning strategies. Highlights: Demonstrates e-comics' superior effectiveness over PowerPoint. Reveals interaction between media type and critical thinking ability. Supports differentiated instruction using adaptive digital tools. Keywords: E-Comic Media, Critical Thinking, History Learning, Learning Outcomes, Experimental Study

Abstract

General Background: With the rapid evolution of technology and increasing reliance on the internet, mobile commerce (M-Commerce) has become a dominant channel for consumer transactions. Specific Background: Within this context, the quality of electronic services (E-Service Quality) and associated factors such as E-Trust, Complaint Handling, and Relationship Quality have become critical to fostering consumer loyalty. Knowledge Gap: However, limited research has examined the simultaneous effects of these factors alongside Consumers’ Negative Emotions and Forgiveness on Repurchase Intention in M-Commerce. Aims: This study aims to investigate the influence of E-Service Quality, E-Trust, Complaint Handling, Relationship Quality, Negative Emotions, and Forgiveness on Repurchase Intention among M-Commerce users. Results: Using a quantitative survey of 384 respondents in West Sumatra, Indonesia, and analysis tools including SmartPLS and SPSS 26, the findings reveal that E-Service Quality significantly enhances E-Trust and Repurchase Intention. E-Trust itself is a pivotal predictor of repurchase behavior. Negative emotions harm Relationship Quality and subsequently repurchase intentions, although strong relationship quality can mitigate these effects. Novelty: This study integrates emotional and relational variables in a unified M-Commerce model. Implications: The results underscore the importance of maintaining high service quality, trust, and complaint management strategies to retain customers and counteract emotional disruptions. Highlights: Highlights the role of E-Trust in driving repurchase behavior. Integrates emotional and relational factors into M-Commerce research. Emphasizes complaint handling as a trust-building strategy. Keywords: E-Service Quality, E-Trust, Complaint Handling, Repurchase Intention, M-Commerce

Abstract

Inclusive education serves as a cornerstone in promoting equitable learning opportunities for all, especially for Children with Special Needs (ABK). In Gresik Regency, the implementation of Regent Regulation No. 42/2013 reflects a local commitment to this ideal. However, despite formal policies, significant challenges persist. A lack of teacher training, inadequate infrastructure, and entrenched social stigma continue to obstruct meaningful inclusion. Existing studies have yet to comprehensively explore the interplay between these constraints and the policy’s intended outcomes, exposing a critical knowledge gap. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities inherent in implementing inclusive education in Gresik and evaluate the effectiveness of support programs. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the findings reveal that while barriers are significant, notable opportunities exist through the empowerment of Special Guidance Teachers (GPK), enhanced training, strong policy backing, and multisectoral collaboration. The novelty lies in the synthesis of policy analysis with community and educational dynamics to propose an integrated strategic framework. The implications underscore the necessity of strengthening educator capacity, infrastructure, and social attitudes to achieve inclusive education goals—providing a foundation for developing future policies and localized best practices. Highlights: Highlights policy gaps and challenges in inclusive education. Emphasizes the role of Special Guidance Teachers (GPK). Proposes strategic collaboration for better policy outcomes. Abstract

General background: The increasing integration of digital technologies has transformed global financial systems, with cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, emerging as prominent financial instruments. Specific background: Amid widespread adoption by institutions and individuals, Bitcoin has garnered attention for its potential to influence traditional financial markets, particularly during periods of global uncertainty such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Knowledge gap: While much has been discussed about the theoretical influence of cryptocurrencies, empirical evidence on their actual impact on global financial indices remains inconclusive. Aims: This study investigates the effect of Bitcoin trading volume and the COVID-19 pandemic on a composite index comprising advanced (S&P 500), emerging (KLSE), and developing (DZ) market indices from July 2018 to December 2022. Results: Using a fixed-effects panel data model, the findings reveal that past market performance significantly predicts current performance, while Bitcoin trading volume and the pandemic show no statistically significant impact. Novelty: The study uniquely combines market classifications and utilizes a composite index to empirically isolate the influence of Bitcoin across diverse economies. Implications: These results suggest that, despite Bitcoin's rising prominence, its direct influence on global financial markets may be limited in the short term, underscoring the need for continued investigation as regulatory frameworks and adoption rates evoHighlight : Minimal Impact: Bitcoin trading volume and the COVID-19 pandemic had no statistically significant effect on global financial market indices (2018–2022). Strong Market Correlation: Global financial indices showed strong interdependence, reflecting synchronized market behavior. Future Outlook: Despite current findings, evolving crypto regulations and technologies may alter their financial market influence. Abstract

General Background: Corporate financial performance is intricately linked with governance structures and financial strategies. Specific Background: In Indonesia’s mining sector, understanding how Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and Leverage influence performance through risk management remains underexplored. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies lack clarity on whether GCG and Leverage directly or indirectly impact financial outcomes via risk mitigation. Aim: This study investigates the effects of GCG components (institutional ownership, independent board of commissioners, audit committee) and Leverage (debt-to-equity ratio) on Return on Assets (ROA), incorporating risk management as an intermediary variable. Results: Utilizing SPSS 25 for descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, and path analysis across 27 IDX-listed mining companies from 2019–2023, the results show that no independent variable significantly affects ROA collectively. However, the independent board of commissioners significantly influences risk management, which itself has no subsequent impact on financial performance. Novelty: This study highlights the limited mediating role of risk management, challenging assumptions about its integrative influence on financial outcomes. Implications: The findings enrich corporate finance theory and suggest organizations must realign risk governance frameworks to enhance budget execution and capitalize on strategic opportunities. Highlights: Reveals limited impact of GCG and Leverage on ROA. Highlights the significant role of independent commissioners in risk management. Challenges the assumption that risk management boosts financial performance. Keywords : Good Corporate Governance, Leverage, Financial Performance, Risk Management, Path Analysis

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in shaping the religious and tolerant character of students through a literature review approach. In the context of a multicultural society and the digital age, religious values and tolerance are important elements in character education. Based on a review of several literature sources (Arifim 2020, Rizkia and Zaedi 2019, Bangun and Ndoana 2024, Putra and Fauzi 2024 dan Aviatin, Robandi, and Komalasari 2023), it was found that PAI plays a strategic role in instilling values of faith, worship, and morality through value-based learning, teacher role modelling, digital media, and intercultural dialogue. These strategies have proven effective in fostering inclusive religious character and a tolerant attitude toward diversity. This article recommends strengthening the PAI curriculum with a reflective and contextual approach to support the development of students who are not only religiously devout but also capable of living harmoniously in a pluralistic societyHighlight : Islamic Religious Education fosters religious and tolerant character through value-based learning and role modelling.
