Abstract

Research Similar references whose meanings differ in ancient languages are an interesting linguistic phenomenon to be examined. In this article, the author explores how words with different meanings were found in the Air Tiris Kampar area in ancient languages. An interesting example is the word "Kaci". The word has a very broad meaning and can literally refer to "for example," but also for example or "for example." The word "Kaci" is used in a variety of contexts and often has a deep figurative meaning. In addition, in Old Latin there is the word "Ge Oil", which is thought to mean kerosene. By detecting and investigating similar references with different meanings in ancient languages, we can understand how complex semantic and conceptual systems existed in ancient cultures. It can also provide new insights to linguists and historians into how the idea and use of language evolved over time. By tracing and examining similar descriptions with different meanings in ancient languages, you can understand how human thinking at that time was reflected in the use of language. The complexity of word meanings is illustrated by how rich and diverse the vocabulary of ancient languages is, and how abstract concepts such as wisdom, truth, and power can be expressed in a single word or words that have similar but different meanings. Therefore, this exploration not only provides insight into linguistic and cultural history, but also opens a window to understanding how people in the past viewed the world and communicated their ideas through language.

Abstract

This study focuses on the preservation of the regional language (OCU language) in the interaction of the Kampar community that occurs in Pulau Terap Village. This language preservation research is carried out so that the position of the Ocu language can be upheld by the Kampar community and to document the language so that it does not experience shift or extinction. This research uses sociolinguistic and qualitative research methods. How people in the past viewed the world and communicated their ideas through language.

Abstract

This article is entitled "Vocabulary That Is Rarely Used by People in Kuok Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency". This research was carried out in Kuok Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency. The problems raised are (1) How to use regional languages in communication among the people of Kuok Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency (2) What are the uses of regional languages among the people of Kuok Village (3) Languages that are rarely used and often used by people in the Kuok Village area in this article The aim is to find out the use of regional languages in communication in the Kuok Village community, Kuok District, Kampar Regency, then find out the use of regional languages among the Kuok Village community, and find out languages that are rarely used and frequently used in the Kuok Village area. This article uses qualitative methods, while the data collection techniques during the research process use observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of this research show that in this article there is some data, namely the use of regional languages in communication where the people of Kuok Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency use the Ocu Regional Language to reflect cultural identity, traditions and linguistic diversity, strengthen social relations in the community, use Regional language among the people of Kuok Village has an important role in maintaining culture, local identity, enriching cultural life, maintaining traditions, and strengthening social ties among residents of Gumai Village, and has a language that is rarely and often used by people in the Kuok Village Area, Kuok District, Regency Kampar.

Abstract

English language teachers in schools will greatly assist the early learning process of a foreign language, especially if the teacher is able to teach English in a variety of ways, such as by using flashcards, daily conversations and also using technology by showing interesting videos for children. all of these methods aim to improve children's ability to recognize the language. to improve the ability of early childhood in recognizing English. Learning through songs can be used to hone early childhood speaking skills. the process. Learning English through songs can be a in improving students' memory and ability to speak, this can be proven by the ease with which songs are followed and remembered by young children by early childhood.

Abstract

This article investigates the infrequently used vocabulary in the Batu Belah area through a combined methodological approach of observation and survey. By observing linguistic interactions and administering surveys to local inhabitants, this study aims to identify and analyze words and phrases that are rarely employed in everyday discourse within the region. Through a systematic analysis of survey responses and observational data, we delve into the socio-cultural, historical, and geographical factors contributing to the usage patterns of these lexical rarities. The findings not only provide insights into the linguistic landscape of Batu Belah but also offer a deeper understanding of the preservation and evolution of regional dialects. This research contributes to the broader discourse on linguistic diversity and sheds light on the intricate relationship between language, culture, and identity in the Batu Belah area.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh lilin aromaterapi terhadap konsentrasi belajar mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain posttest control group. Partisipan terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa yang dibagi secara acak menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang diberi paparan lilin aromaterapi dan kelompok kontrol tanpa paparan. Pengukuran konsentrasi dilakukan menggunakan Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen memiliki rata-rata konsentrasi yang lebih tinggi (63,04%) dibanding kelompok kontrol (51,36%). Analisis data menggunakan independent t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,011 (p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa lilin aromaterapi memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar mahasiswa. Kesimpulannya, lilin aromaterapi efektif dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar.

Abstract

Reading is one of the essential basic skills for children in elementary school. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the fonibel method in improving reading readiness among first-grade elementary students. The fonibel method combines phonics and syllable methods to introduce letters and teach children to read through syllables. This research employs a descriptive method with observations of first-grade students in Bukittinggi. The study involved seven sessions, including rapport building, initial observation, pretest, five intervention sessions, and a posttest. Data obtained from observations, pretests, and posttests were analyzed descriptively to observe changes and developments in students' reading abilities after the intervention. The results showed that all students could pronounce all vowel and consonant letters and combine letters into syllables and words after the intervention. The fonibel method proved effective in enhancing students' reading abilities, creating a fun and interactive learning environment, and increasing student motivation and engagement in the learning process. This study provides significant contributions to the development of effective and enjoyable reading instruction methods for elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif sistem komunikasi dengan PECS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi anak autis. Subjek penelitian merupakan kelompok eksperimen anak autis berusia 8 tahun yang bersekolah di SLB Permata Bunda.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menguji hipotesis metode gambar melalui PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi anak autis dalam rentang waktu 4 sesi pertemuan intervensi. Masing-masing sesi dilakukan dengan durasi 40-60 menit menggunakan 5 tahapan pada perlakuan menggunakan metode PECS. Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan jenis One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data diambil melalui observasi dan instrumen kemampuan berbahasa reseptif, ekspresif dan kognisi sosial anak autis. Teknik analisis data berupa statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Test, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,180 > 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan metode gambar yang digunakan melalui PECS tidak memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada peningkatan komunikasi anak autis.

Abstract

Gadget merupakan kebutuhan terpenting bagi setiap orang untuk memudahkan dalam mengerjakan segala sesuatu. Namun, dengan banyaknya aktivitas yang dilakukan menggunakan gadget dapat membuat banyak orang menggunakan gadget dengan intensitas yang cukup lama, salah satunya adalah siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Werewolf merupakan permainan peran dimana pemain diminta untuk mempertahankan posisi dan membangun strategi serta menjalin kerja sama tim untuk mempertahankan kelompok dan mencapai kemenangan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan werewolf dalam mengurangi intensitas penggunaan gadget pada anak remaja usia sekolah menengah pertama sehingga tidak terlalu ketergantungan dan mengurangi dampak negatif yang dihasilkan dari gadget. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 10 orang siswa SMP di Jorong Koto Kaciak, Nagari Magek, Kecamatan Kamang Magek, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa permainan werewolf berpengaruh positif untuk mengurangi intensitas penggunaan gadget pada siswa SMP di Jorong Koto Kaciak, Nagari Magek. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa permainan werewolf dapat mengurangi intensitas penggunaan gadget pada siswa SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas afirmasi positif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan pra-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari lima mahasiswa baru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua subjek mengalami peningkatan kepercayaan diri setelah diberikan intervensi afirmasi positif. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.043, yang menandakan adanya pengaruh signifikan dari afirmasi positif terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa. Kesimpulannya, afirmasi positif efektif dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dan dapat diterapkan sebagai metode untuk mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis dan performa akademik mereka.
