Priangan memiliki perspektif tentang Budaya Islam Sunda. Jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan dan membahas beberapa isu yang berkaitan dengan Budaya Islam Sunda. Area fokusnya meliputi Budaya Islam Sunda, tradisi lokal di Wilayah Priangan, seni bangunan tradisional Sunda, warisan Islam masyarakat Sunda, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan komunitas Sunda. Priangan bertujuan untuk menyediakan media bagi mahasiswa, praktisi, peneliti, akademisi, dan lainnya untuk mempublikasikan penelitian mereka di bidang Budaya Islam Sunda. Priangan menerima artikel di bidang fokus terkait dan metodologi penelitian apa pun yang memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan untuk publikasi dalam jurnal. Kriteria utama untuk publikasi di Priangan adalah signifikansi kontribusi artikel terhadap literatur dan praktik dalam studi Budaya Islam Sunda. Priangan menerima artikel dari penulis dari lembaga nasional dan internasional.

Abstract

People with a mindset will basically follow the people around them, in other words, the group that makes up their majority will be able to influence the mindset of the people around them. Likewise with Islam, when Islam begins to be widely known to outsiders, those who actually have not been touched by Islamic teachings but hear about Islam, will find out for themselves and convert to Islam on their own without coercion. In its development, Islam does have special features. Examining the spread in the Sunda Tatat cannot only focus on one source to find out about the truth from that source from other sources. In history, very little Islam shed blood in its spread. For this reason, many researchers have examined the reasons why Islam was spread without coercion and the people who accepted it voluntarily were able to survive until now. As for who spread Islamic teachings and teachings in Tatar Sunda, it is already known who and how the story of his da'wah was, but it does not rule out the existence of many propagators of Islam who have not been revealed by historians because of the personal desire to spread Islam from the individuals themselves without being known to the public. By research that focuses on the people who have contributed to spreading the religion of Islam, so little by little those various figures are able to be revealed.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are the first Islamic education institutions to grow and develop in Indonesia. Many services are provided by the Islamic Boarding Schools for the:development of national education, one of which is in the form of contributions in shaping the young generation of intellectuals and integrity to continue the nation's struggle. Departing from this thought, the writer is interested in researching how. Therefore, he is interested in researching and writing about the History and Development of the Kebon Jambu Al Islami Islamic Boarding School in Babakan Village, Ciwaringin District, Cirebon Regency, because the Pesantren is one of-the Islamic boarding schools that can survive and develop. this modern age. This research methodology uses historical methods. The steps taken are heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. Pondok Pesantren Kebon Jambu Al Islami is located in Babakan Village, Ciwaringin District, Cirebon Regency. Thisppesantrenswas founded by KH. Muhammad in 1993 M.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren is the oldest educational institution in Indonesia, along with the development of the Islamic boarding school era, it has also undergone changes adapted to the development and needs of the times without eliminating the traditions and traditional values in the Islamic boarding school. Today's Islamic boarding schools also adopt a modern education system and incorporate scientific methods into it, besides that, if in the past the pesantren was intended for students who were entrusted by their parents, now there is a boarding school that not only accommodates students who are entrusted to it, but the pesantren also accommodates children. -Street children who do not have parents and want to study, then want to know about religious knowledge and practice it.

Abstract

One of the Islamization processes in the archipelago which has an important role is through the port route. Muara Djati Harbor, located in Cirebon, is the gateway to Islamization in West Java. The author uses the historical method, namely a process of study, explanation and critical analysis of the legacy of the past. In this study, the authors used the literature study research category, namely a study that used a source from a book as the data which was then interpreted chronologically to produce historical facts based on the analyzed data. In this study, the author tries to focus on the analysis related to the port of Muara Djati in the Islamization process in Cirebon. Among them is the condition of Muara Djati port before the entry of Islam, the port of Muara Djati's role in the entry of Islam in Cirebon and the port of Muara Djati and the development of Islam in Cirebon. It is known that the condition of the Muara Djati coast before the arrival of Islam, Cirebon people were familiar with the Indianization culture by implementing the caste system. Muara Djati's role in the Islamization process, which became the residence of foreign traders in Cirebon. The development of Cirebon after the entry of Islam affected various aspects of life, people did not feel oppressed because in Islam there was no caste system. The arrival of Syarif Hidayatullah made Cirebon an Islamic sultanate.

Abstract

Banceuy Traditional Village is a village that really maintains traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation and needs to be studied for its culture. This research is intended to examine Banceuy's traditional traditions from a religious perspective. This study uses historical research methods, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. By using primary sources in the form of interviews with direct sources. Secondary data sources are obtained from documentation, books, the internet and related research reports. The results of the study show that the Socio-Cultural Life of the Banceuy Traditional Village in a Religious Perspective includes customs that are maintained according to belief. Norms of life that are not only bound to the Koran and hadith as well as to the traditions of the ancestors show gratitude to God and respect for the ancestors. This research focuses on how the religious perspective on Banceuy culture.? Keywords: Tradition, Culture, Religion Abstrak Kampung Adat Banceuy adalah sebuah kampung yang sangat menjaga tradisi yang di wariskan secara turun temurun yang perlu di kaji kebudayaan nya. Penelitian ini di maksudkan untuk mengkaji tradisi adat Banceuy menurut perspektif agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yaitu heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Dengan menggunakan sumber primer yang berupa wawancara dengan nrasumber langsung.Sumber data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumentasi, buku, internet dan laporan hasil penelitian terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Kehidupan Sosial Budaya Kampung Adat Banceuy Dalam Perspektif Agama antara lain adat  istiadat yang di pertahankan menurut kepercayaan. Norma-norma kehidupan yang hanya tidak terpaku kepada Al-quran dan hadis dan juga kepada tradisi nenek moyang menunjukkan rasa syukur kepada Tuhan dan peghormatan kepada leluhur. Penelitian ini terfokus bagaimana perspektif agama terhadap kebudayaan Banceuy.?

Abstract

This article is motivated by the enthusiasm of the people around the Great Mosque of Cimahi City in social-religious activities. Based on the lack of religious knowledge possessed by the community around the Great Mosque of Cimahi City, it became an encouragement for them to deepen their religious knowledge by joining and participating in social-religious activities at the Great Mosque of Cimahi City. The research method used in this article is a historical research method which includes heuristics, verification (criticism), interpretation, and historiography. In this study it can be seen that there are social religious activities that take place at the Great Mosque of Cimahi City as a place to foster an Islamic community that believes and fears Allah SWT, especially for the people who are around the mosque. The Great Mosque of Cimahi City has an activity program that is categorized into social activities and religious activities that are driven by social and religious motivations. In practice, in carrying out social religious activities, the Great Mosque of Cimahi City opens opportunities for the community to participate in studying religion because it is their responsibility as Muslims to help each other, including in terms of studying religion.  Keywords: The Great Mosque of Cimahi City, Social-religious Activities, West Java Artikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semangat masyarakat sekitar Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi dalam kegiatan sosial keagamaan. Berdasarkan minimnya pengetahuan keagamaan yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat sekitar Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi menjadi sebuah dorongan bagi mereka untuk memperdalam ilmu agama dengan bergabung serta mengikuti kegiatan sosial keagamaan di Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah yang meliputi Heuristik, Verivikasi (kritik), Interpretasi, dan Historiografi. Dalam studi ini dapat diketahui adanya aktivitas sosial keagamaan yang berlangsung di Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi sebagai wadah untuk untuk membina masyarakat islam yang beriman dan bertaqwa kepada Allah SWT, khususnya untuk masyarakat yang berada di disekitar masjid. Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi memiliki program kegiatan yang di kategorikan kepada kegiatan sosial dan kegiatan keagamaan yang didorong oleh motivasi sosial dan motivasi agama. Dalam praktiknya dalam menjalani kegiatas sosial keagamaan Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi membuka peluang kepada masyarakat untuk ikut dalam belajar ilmu agama karena sudah menjadi tanggung jawab sebagai umat islam untuk saling membantu termasuk dalam hal belajar agama. Kata Kunci: Masjid Agung Kota Cimahi, Aktivitas Sosial Keagmaan, Jawa Barat

Abstract

Pilgrimage is one of the activities included in religious activities, pilgrimage is an activity to pay homage to figures who have a big role, especially for the surrounding environment, such as the tomb of Sunan Cipancar. Sunan Cipancar is a major scholar figure in the process of Islamization in Limbangan. The method in this study uses historical research methods including heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The development of pilgrims, the author divides into three phases, namely the phases in the years before the Covid-19 Virus (2019), the year there was Covid-19 (2020-2021) and the year when Covid-19 was relaxed (2022).

Abstract

The existence of wars that occurred from around the world in ancient times caused many casualties. One such battle was between French and Italian troops fought against Austrian troops. This war gave birth to many casualties, one who was heading to a place to start a business instead saw many victims of war who were helpless. He was moved to help by inviting the surrounding community to help the wounded soldiers. In its development, in every country a volunteer organization was established. The organization is called the international association of red cross and red crescent. In Indonesia, it actually started before the Second World War. The Dutch colonial government established the organization under the name Nederlands Rode Kruis Afdeling Indie (Nerkai). However, during the Japanese occupation, the organization was disbanded. At the time after the proclamation of independence, President Soekarno issued an order to form a national red cross body. In the end the Indonesian Red Cross was formed after 1 month of independence to be precise on September 17, 1945. The researcher aims to let the general public know that the humanitarian movement was born in ancient times, with this paper the author hopes to awaken people's hearts to be able to help regardless of race, ethnicity and religion.

Abstract

The cycle of human life in general, starting from the womb, giving birth, getting married to facing death, is often held in traditions or rituals. In this study, the author will discuss the traditions that are carried out when facing death. Someone who is facing death, the family he left behind will carry out the tahlilan tradition of 7 consecutive days, 40 days (matangpuluh), and 100 days (natus). In the year after death, a haul tradition or one-year anniversary of death will be held. The Cibaduyut area is an area that still holds haul traditions to commemorate the death of K.H Muhammad Zarkasyi, a charismatic cleric and leader of the Cibaduyut Islamic boarding school. So, to commemorate his services every year his death is always commemorated. The method used in this study is the historical research method which includes four stages, namely the heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography stages. The results of the study show that the haul tradition of a cleric feels more religious and flamboyant like that carried out in Cibaduyut. In addition, during the development of the Cibaduyut haul tradition, it experienced a cultural touch from the habaib circles. The implementation of the haul tradition also forms solidarity between communities and it can also be said that haul is a social reality because the community accepts the existence of the haul tradition.

Abstract

The Karang Kamulyan Art Padepokan was founded by a husband and wife, namely Ugan Rahayu and Neni Hayati and Asep Setia Pujanegara which aims to preserve Sundanese arts. The development of the Karang Kamulyan hermitage began in 1997 when it only had makeshift gamelan instrument until in 2014 it received financial assistance from the government for artistict intstrument at the Karang Kamulyan hermitage. The Karang Kamulyan Art Padepokan is now well known by the public and is often invited to various events not only in the Bandung district but in several regions in Indonesia. Writing this article aims to find out the history of the establishment of the Karang Kamulyan Art Hermitage and its development. The writing of this article uses historical research methods which have 4 stages, namely, heuristics, critism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the analysis show that the development of the Karang Kamulyan hermitage was carries out in various ways, so that the Karang Kamulyan art hermitage can still exist today.
