Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic economic growth and Islamic financial inclusion on the open unemployment rate in Indonesia during the semester period from 2010 to 2024. The research uses a quantitative approach with 30 time-series observations. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests to determine the relationship among variables. The results show that Islamic economic growth has a negative influence on unemployment, while Islamic financial inclusion has a positive influence. However, both effects are statistically insignificant, either partially or simultaneously. These findings indicate that although there are logical directional relationships, the effectiveness of Islamic economic growth and financial inclusion in reducing unemployment remains limited. Therefore, a more holistic and integrative policy approach is necessary for the Islamic economic sector to make a more substantial contribution to addressing unemployment in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative design. The population is all Islamic Banks (BUS) in Indonesia, with a sample of 10 BUS selected through purposive sampling during the 2019–2024 period, resulting in 60 panel data observation units. The analysis technique used is Panel Data Logistic Regression to estimate the probability of Financial Distress. Model validation is carried out through a classification matrix and Area Under the Curve (AUC). The results of the study indicate that the model has very strong discriminatory power with an overall prediction accuracy reaching 100% (Nagelkerke R Square = 1.000). The regression coefficients indicate that Financing Risk (NPF) and Operational Inefficiency (BOPO) have a significant positive effect on the probability of Financial Distress. Meanwhile, Bank Size (SIZE) also shows a positive effect that rejects the 'Too Big to Fail' hypothesis, and Liquidity (FDR) shows a negative effect, functioning as a buffer for profitability. This study concludes that NPF and BOPO are the most critical early warning indicators, and the Logit model built can be a valid and specific Early Warning System for BUS regulators and management.

Abstract

The phenomenon of stock underpricing is an anomaly frequently observed during Initial Public Offering (IPO), coinciding with the rapid development of the capital market. This study aims to analyze the influence of Auditor Reputation, Return On Assets (ROA), Financial Leverage, and Earning Per Share (EPS) on the degree of stock underpricing. This quantitative study utilizes secondary data from companies in the primary consumer goods sector that conducted an IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018–2022 period. Using a purposive sampling technique, a sample of 33 companies was obtained. Data analysis was performed using a multiple linear regression model, where underpricing was measured by the initial return. The empirical results indicate that the variables Auditor Reputation, Return On Assets (ROA), Financial Leverage, and Earning Per Share (EPS) do not have a significant partial effect on stock underpricing. These findings suggest that other non-financial and non-accounting factors may be more dominant in determining the IPO initial return in this sector on the IDX. Practically, this implies that investors should not rely on fundamental metrics (ROA/EPS) as primary indicators for purchasing IPO stocks in this sector, as they are proven to have no significant impact.
