Abstract

In the era of globalization and an unstoppable flow of information, the Muslim community faces a serious challenge in the form of an ideological war (ghazwul fikri) that undermines religious identity and beliefs through the infiltration of foreign ideologies, digital media, and secular education systems. This article aims to examine the strategic role of Islamic da'wah institutions in safeguarding the ummah from such intellectual threats. This research uses a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach based on scholarly references and relevant documentation. The findings reveal that da'wah institutions play a crucial role as agents of moderation, education, and reinforcement of wasathiyah (moderate) Islamic identity in society. Despite challenges such as technological adaptation, digital literacy gaps, and ideological resistance, digital-based da'wah strategies and cross-institutional collaboration have proven to be effective solutions. The implications highlight the need for institutional transformation, increased human resource capacity in da'wah, and the integration of da'wah messages with national and universal humanitarian narratives. This study recommends the development of systematic digital da'wah policies and further research on the effectiveness of da'wah narratives in shaping public opinion in the digital age. These findings offer both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of contextual and adaptive da'wah models.

Abstract

Filial piety to parents is a form of affection, obedience, attention, and respect for the teachings and advice that have been given by them. In this case birrul walidain has a very high position because in Surah Luqman (31): 14, it is commanded that humans must do good to their parents. Islam places parents in a very noble position. Likewise, parents always have the best hopes for their children. This also emphasizes the importance of birrul walidain in the life of a Muslim. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of Birrul Walidain on the sociological perspective between parents and children, as well as its important role in family harmony. Conflicts that are not managed properly will disrupt harmony between parents and children. This research design uses a method that focuses on in-depth understanding related to literature study, which collects and analyzes literature from several primary and supporting sources and academic articles in the field of birrul walidain. The main findings show that there are still children who do not behave properly towards their parents. The implications of this paper show that there are still many children who ignore the way of speaking, and conduct social interactions that are not in accordance with Islamic teachings, causing a bad relationship between parents and children

Abstract

Civic ethics in the context of a democratic state constitutes a crucial aspect that integrates Islamic values with the principles of modern democracy. This study aims to examine how Islamic values—such as shura (consultation), justice, and amar maʿruf nahi munkar (enjoining good and forbidding wrong)—can be implemented in civic practices that support democracy. Employing a qualitative, library-based research approach, this study analyzes relevant literature addressing the relationship between Islam, political ethics, and democracy. The findings indicate that Islamic-based civic ethics can strengthen democracy through civic education, character formation, and the application of shura in public decision-making processes. However, challenges such as ideological polarization and misinterpretation of Islamic values often hinder such implementation. The study recommends strengthening civic education grounded in Islamic values to foster an inclusive and ethical democratic society.

Abstract

Leadership succession from the perspective of Indonesian Constitutional Law and Islamic Law. In the context of Constitutional Law, leadership succession is regulated in the post-amendment 1945 Constitution, which emphasizes a presidential system of government, direct elections by the people, and term limits for the president. Meanwhile, in Islamic Law, leadership succession does not have a single model but is rooted in the principles of the Qur'an and Sunnah, such as consultation (shura), trustworthiness, justice, and the welfare of the community. This study employs a qualitative method through a literature review approach, analyzing primary and secondary sources. The results of the study show that despite systematic differences between the two, both Constitutional Law and Islamic Law place leadership as a trust that must be carried out with integrity and responsibility to achieve justice and public welfare.

Abstract

Economic development is a nation’s effort to improve the welfare of its people by increasing income levels, expanding equal opportunities, and transforming the economic structure. For Indonesia, economic development is of great importance because it can help reduce poverty, create employment opportunities, and enhance the nation’s competitiveness at the international level. However, economic development is not solely about increasing economic growth figures. In reality, challenges remain in the form of regional disparities, social inequality, and difficulties in maintaining environmental sustainability. Several studies also indicate that economic growth in Indonesia has not been evenly distributed across regions, and that inclusive and environmentally sustainable growth still requires significant improvement. Therefore, it is essential to study theories of economic development and examine their application in the Indonesian context so that the development process can become more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable.

Abstract

Investment and capital investment are important factors in driving economic growth and national development. Investment is defined as the allocation of funds to financial and real assets with the objective of generating future returns, accompanied by a certain level of risk. Meanwhile, capital investment refers to the placement of capital, originating from both domestic and foreign sources, to undertake business activities that contribute to increased production capacity, job creation, and economic growth. This paper discusses the concepts of investment and capital investment, the types of investment based on form, source of capital, time horizon, and investor involvement, as well as the role of investment in Indonesia’s economic growth. The findings indicate that domestic investment (PMDN) and foreign direct investment (PMA) have a positive impact on the increase in Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), although their effects vary across sectors and regions. Foreign direct investment has been shown to promote technology transfer and the expansion of the industrial sector, while domestic investment strengthens the local economy. Nevertheless, the implementation of investment in Indonesia continues to face several challenges, particularly related to legal uncertainty, overlapping regulations, and the effectiveness of policies at the regional level. Therefore, consistent government policies, improvements in infrastructure and human resource quality, and regulatory harmonization are required to ensure that the benefits of investment are distributed equitably and sustainably.

Abstract

The government plays a strategic role in the national economy as a regulator, coordinator, and guarantor of public welfare. This role is manifested through regulatory functions, income redistribution, economic stabilization, the provision of economic stimulus, and protection for economic actors. In carrying out these roles, the government utilizes key policy instruments, namely the State Budget (APBN), fiscal policy, and monetary policy, which are interrelated and mutually reinforcing. The APBN serves as an instrument of planning, authorization, supervision, allocation, distribution, and economic stabilization, while also functioning as an essential tool for promoting economic growth and equitable development. Nevertheless, the management of the APBN continues to face challenges, particularly with regard to transparency and budget oversight, as reflected in cases of budget mismanagement that have resulted in state losses and hindered development efforts. Fiscal policy plays a crucial role in influencing macroeconomic conditions through the regulation of taxation, government expenditure, and deficit financing, implemented in the form of either expansionary or contractionary policies to maintain economic stability and fiscal sustainability. Meanwhile, monetary policy, implemented by the central bank, focuses on controlling the money supply, maintaining price stability, stabilizing the exchange rate, and safeguarding the financial system, while also taking into account global economic dynamics and developments in financial technology. From an Islamic economic perspective, monetary policy emphasizes principles of justice, equity, and the prohibition of riba (interest). The synergy between the APBN, fiscal policy, and monetary policy is essential in achieving stable, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Food security has become a crucial issue in global economic development, including in Indonesia, where it is closely linked to the productivity of the agricultural sector. This sector plays a strategic role not only as a food provider but also as a source of employment, a contributor to national income, and a means of income distribution. Data indicate that the agricultural sector still absorbs around 29% of the national workforce despite a structural shift toward the industrial and service sectors. The high consumption of staple foods such as rice and eggs highlights the strong dependence of society on agricultural outputs, making national economic stability closely tied to this sector. However, the agricultural sector faces several challenges, including land conversion, low productivity, and dependence on food imports. Therefore, strategic policies are required to enhance productivity, promote technological innovation, and improve farmers’ welfare in order to strengthen national food security.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the dynamics of Generation Z’s political participation in the context of contemporary United States politics by highlighting the election of Maxwell Alejandro Frost as the youngest member of Congress and the first representative of Generation Z. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, analyzing media articles, survey reports, and statements from relevant figures. The findings indicate that Generation Z’s political engagement is characterized by identity awareness, concern for structural issues such as gun reform, climate change, healthcare, and reproductive rights, as well as demands for inclusive and civil political discourse practices. Furthermore, the study finds that openness to intergenerational dialogue, the relationship between faith and politics, and exemplary conduct in civil discourse are important factors in fostering sustainable political participation among Generation Z. This article contributes to enriching the study of youth politics by emphasizing the importance of dialogical and ethical approaches in modern democracy.
