Abstract

In the current era, information technology is developing very rapidly. Almost all daily activities use information technology, including in the field of education. So it is not surprising that currently the learning material provided to students is in the form of files. Many material files make it difficult for students to store and classify the material they have. Therefore, we conducted research with the aim of solving problems in accommodating various lecture material files. This study uses the SDLC method with a waterfall model. The waterfall model is used to design and develop the information system to be created. Researchers conducted a survey of 70 Indonesian students and the results obtained by 60% of students admitted that they still had difficulty managing material files and the most widely used online storage media was Google Drive at 52.3%. From the results of the research and the problems previously described. Researchers provide a solution, namely a new innovation in the form of our website-based Book Information System. Our book is a web-based platform that is able to store and organize material files in various forms such as photos, pdf, documents and others into one platform such as a material bank.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the reading literacy movement, known as the Gemalista Program, at Ciulu 2 State Elementary School (SDN 2 Ciulu) for increasing students' reading interest and literacy skills. Employing an Action Research model with a qualitative approach, data collection utilized triangulation techniques (interviews, observations, and documents) alongside survey data for samples. The development of a literacy culture was structured in three stages: (1) planning (goal, program, strategy, and infrastructure formulation), (2) implementation (through processes of habituation, development, and teaching), and (3) evaluation (weekly, monthly, and annual). Based on the results of the Project Management Office (PMO) 1 school level which followed four stages: reflection, root of the problem, fix, and solution it was evident that students' reading interest and literacy skills required improvement. The proposed solution involves implementing a habituation program (a 15-minute reading activity before or after learning), a development program (via non-academic activities, extracurriculars, and library visits), and a learning program that incorporates literacy strategies with differentiated learning techniques in shared, guided, and independent reading. The research concludes that the implications of developing the Gemalista Program successfully increase the reading interest and reading literacy skills of students at SDN 2 Ciulu.

Abstract

Job Training (PKL) is an implementation of a systematic and synchronous implementation of educational programs in schools, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK) with mastery of skills acquired through direct work activities in the workplace to achieve a certain level of expertise. In addition, PKL is one of the academic activities that all SMK students must participate in in the school's existing programs. PKL places are companies or agencies that collaborate with schools. Companies and internships can only accept interns for a maximum of 30% of the total number of employees. In this study the authors analyzed and designed a WEB-based street vendor information system starting from the student registration process, implementation and reporting, and PKL assessments. This study aims to organize PKL activities neatly between students, companies and schools where they are apprenticed so that all parties can benefit from PKL activities.

Abstract

An information system is a combination of human and computer activities to produce a product that contains a collection of information. The information system on the SMPN 3 Pacet website is a collection of information to introduce to the public about the SMPN 3 Pacet school, in the development of a User interface (UI) and user experience (UX) planning is an important stage. The UI/UX appearance gives an initial impression to potential users. This article describes how the UI/UX is designed on the SMPN 3Pacet website using the Human Centered Design HCD approach. This study aims to implement user interface planning for information systems based on the SMPN 3 Pacet website. The final result in this study is the high fidelity design of the SMPN 3 Pacet website information system and how effective and efficient it is to use the website for use by users. The research process consists of several stages, namely making a user interface design using Human Centered Design (HCD), which focuses on all users in the data collection process as well as the evaluation process of the design that is being made, and if necessary redesign can be done.

Abstract

The 4C competence has been recognized by many experts as one of obligatory student learning outcomes, including students of Kampus UPI di Purwakarta. Therefore, student learning activity, whether in-class or out-class, should be directed toward mastery of those competences. One of many attempts that has been done was an assignment to create a scientific writing, in this case are Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) proposals. However, there is a problem based on the amount of those proposals that have been rejected by the PKM Committee. This was an alarming problem and needed to be analyzed and solved as soon as possible. This study is done by a descriptive analytical method with a qualitative approach. The number of respondents was 94 students from UPI at the Purwakarta Campus. The number of respondents are 94 students from PSTI Kampus UPI di Purwakarta. The results of this study show that 70.4% of participants state they only had extrinsic motivation, 54.9% dislike scientific writing activity or task, and 51% admit that they had trouble finding journal references. We conclude that the students of Kampus UPI di Purwakarta still have yet to master references search technique. It affects their motivation and hinder their progress to achieve the intended learning outcome. Furthermore, we determine that it could be solved by introducing a search application in order to ease anxiety and improve the quality of their Scientific Writing.

Abstract

In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, technology plays an important role in various aspects of life, including education. One technological innovation that can be applied in early childhood education is Augmented Reality (AR). This study aims to (1) determine the urgency of using AR technology in early childhood learning media; (2) explain the process of integrating AR technology into learning media; and (3) identify the effects of AR-based learning media on early childhood development. The research method used is a literature study by collecting, analyzing, and concluding findings from previous studies related to AR in education. The results show that (1) the use of AR is essential to introduce children to technology from an early age, preparing them to adapt and compete in the Industrial 4.0 era; (2) AR integration can be implemented through various learning materials, such as introducing numbers, letters, and creating interactive “Magic Book” media; and (3) the use of AR-based learning media has been proven to increase children’s learning motivation, curiosity, and activeness. Therefore, it is recommended that early childhood education institutions in Indonesia begin adopting AR technology to make learning more interactive, engaging, and relevant to current technological developments.
