Abstract

Data management in vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) farming businesses is a critical factor in supporting smooth pond operations, yet most farmers in Aceh Besar still rely on manual, paper-based recording. This practice frequently causes recording errors, difficulty retrieving data, and delays in preparing production reports. This study aims to design and develop a Web-Based Vaname Shrimp Farm Management Information System at Tambak Udang Vaname Intensif Kurnia, Aceh Besar, to help pond owners manage production and sales data more effectively and efficiently. The system was developed using a qualitative, software-engineering approach following the Waterfall model, with data collected through observation, interviews, and a literature review. The system was built using the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL as the database management system. The resulting system provides shrimp-type data management, stock management, online product ordering, payment management, and automatic report generation. Black-box testing and usability evaluation with the pond owner indicate that the system successfully computerises pond data management, eases data storage, retrieval, and processing, reduces recording errors, and provides faster, more accurate information for decision-making. The Web-Based Vaname Shrimp Farm Management Information System can therefore serve as an effective solution for supporting vaname shrimp farming businesses in Aceh Besar and similar coastal regions

Abstract

The increasing amount of polypropylene (PP) plastic waste has become an environmental challenge that requires effective management. One promising technology to address this issue is pyrolysis, a thermal decomposition process carried out in the absence of oxygen that converts plastic waste into valuable liquid fuel. This study aimed to analyze the effect of pyrolysis temperature on the yield, calorific value, and density of liquid fuel produced from polypropylene plastic waste. The pyrolysis process was conducted using a batch reactor with a feedstock mass of 1.25 kg for 60 minutes at temperatures of 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C. The calorific value was determined using a Bomb Calorimeter, while the density was measured using the pycnometer method. The results showed that pyrolysis temperature significantly influenced the characteristics of the liquid fuel produced. The highest calorific value was obtained at 300°C, reaching 38,022.85 J/g (9,087.68 cal/g), which decreased to 33,538.23 J/g (8,015.83 cal/g) at 400°C and further declined to the lowest value of 3,798.05 J/g (907.76 cal/g) at 500°C. Meanwhile, the density values obtained at 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C were 1.028 g/mL, 1.011 g/mL, and 1.031 g/mL, respectively. Based on these findings, a pyrolysis temperature of 300°C produced the highest-quality liquid fuel in terms of calorific value, whereas 400°C yielded a density that was closest to the characteristics of commercial liquid fuels

Abstract

This research aims to build a web-based sparepart stock processing information system at Indocopier to overcome manual recording issues that often lead to data inaccuracies and difficulties in monitoring stock circulation. The First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method is implemented into the system to ensure inventory management follows the entry sequence, thereby minimizing the risk of inventory stagnation or goods obsolescence. The system was developed using the PHP programming language with the [Insert Framework, e.g., Laravel/CodeIgniter] framework and MySQL database. The system development method used is Waterfall. The results of this study are an information system capable of managing incoming and outgoing goods data in real-time, providing accurate stock movement reports, and facilitating Indocopier management in making decisions regarding procurement. System testing using the Black Box Testing method demonstrates that all system functions operate in accordance with the expected functional requirements

Abstract

Naira Mitralogistik Indonesia (Mitralogistics) actively utilizes Instagram as a promotional and digital communication channel, yet its creative team lacks a structured system for recording and monitoring content performance data. Statistical data such as views, likes, comments, and saves are only temporarily observed through Instagram Insights without documentation or data-driven analysis. This study aims to design a web-based information system that integrates content engagement data management with sentiment analysis of user comments using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method combined with TF-IDF feature extraction. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL with the Waterfall methodology as the development model. The proposed system enables the creative team to input and manage Instagram content statistics, view engagement analysis results, and obtain sentiment classification of comments when available. Compared to the current manual approach, the web-based system offers more structured data management, faster content performance evaluation, and data-driven strategy development. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the effectiveness of digital promotion management and support the development of a more targeted and consistent content strategy at Mitralogistics.

Abstract

Kitchen air quality is an important factor affecting the health and safety of occupants due to exposure to LPG gas, combustion smoke, volatile organic compounds (VOC), as well as changes in temperature and humidity during cooking activities. Conventional air quality monitoring methods have limitations in providing real-time environmental information and early warnings when air quality begins to deteriorate. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based kitchen air quality monitoring and evaluation system using MQ-6, MQ-135, and DHT22 sensors integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller. The proposed system classifies air conditions into three categories: normal, warning, and hazardous. Air quality information is displayed on an LCD and transmitted to users via Telegram notifications, while hazardous conditions trigger an audible alarm through a buzzer. To improve air circulation, an ON-OFF Hysteresis control method is implemented on two exhaust fans operating in stages, where the first exhaust fan is activated under warning conditions and both exhaust fans are activated under hazardous conditions. Furthermore, the collected monitoring data are analyzed using the Random forest algorithm to evaluate air quality patterns, classify environmental conditions, and identify the most influential parameters through feature importance analysis. The results indicate that the proposed system is capable of performing real-time air quality monitoring, providing environmental condition notifications, and automatically controlling ventilation according to the detected risk level. The integration of multi-sensor monitoring, ON-OFF Hysteresis control, and Random forest analysis enhances the system’s capability from conventional monitoring to a more informative and adaptive air quality evaluation platform for kitchen environments

Abstract

The increasing generation of plastic waste has become a significant environmental concern due to its resistance to natural degradation and its potential to cause long-term pollution. Pyrolysis offers a promising approach for converting plastic waste into valuable liquid fuels while reducing environmental burdens. This study investigates the effect of clinoptilolite zeolite catalyst concentration on the characteristics of pyrolysis oil derived from mixed Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE-HDPE) plastic waste. An experimental method was employed using catalyst concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% under a pyrolysis temperature of 550°C for 2 hours. The resulting liquid products were evaluated based on their calorific value and kinematic viscosity. The results demonstrated that catalyst addition significantly influenced fuel quality. The highest calorific value was obtained at a catalyst concentration of 5%, reaching 11,521.45 cal g⁻¹, indicating enhanced energy content compared to other treatments. Meanwhile, calorific values at catalyst concentrations of 0%, 10%, and 15% were 9,865.55 cal g⁻¹, 10,618.11 cal g⁻¹, and 9,377.89 cal g⁻¹, respectively. Increasing catalyst concentration also reduced the viscosity of the pyrolysis oil, from 1.215 mm² s⁻¹ at 0% catalyst to 0.652 mm² s⁻¹ at 15% catalyst, suggesting more effective cracking of long-chain hydrocarbons into lighter fractions. The viscosity value closest to the commercial gasoline standard was achieved at a catalyst concentration of 10% (0.790 mm² s⁻¹). Overall, clinoptilolite zeolite proved effective in improving the physicochemical properties of pyrolysis oil, with a 5% catalyst concentration providing the most favorable performance in terms of energy content. These findings highlight the potential of catalytic pyrolysis as a sustainable strategy for plastic waste valorization and alternative fuel production

Abstract

The escalation of air pollution in urban environments and enclosed spaces, primarily driven by the accumulation of Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2), poses a latent threat to human health due to their colorless and odorless nature. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air quality early warning system prototype utilizing the ESP32 microcontroller as the core controller. The system architecture integrates an MQ-7 sensor to measure CO levels, an MQ-135 sensor to detect CO2 concentrations, and a DHT22 sensor to monitor ambient temperature and humidity in real-time. The research methodology employs an engineering experiment approach, encompassing hardware architecture design, software development, sensor calibration via average Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) values, and comprehensive system functional testing. Experimental results demonstrate that the device accurately classifies air quality into three distinct thresholds: Good (CO < 10 ppm, CO2 ≤800 ppm), Moderate (CO 10–25 ppm, CO2 801–1500 ppm), and Poor (CO 26 ppm, CO2 > 1500 ppm, or temperature 35ºC). Upon detecting hazardous air conditions, physical indicators including a red LED and a local buzzer are simultaneously activated. Concurrently, critical alerts are transmitted to the user's smartphone via the Blynk platform, exhibiting a response time ranging from 4 to 42 seconds, with an average of 17.7 seconds. The deployment of this early warning system successfully demonstrates the effectiveness of IoT technology integration in providing a highly responsive environmental protection mechanism.

Abstract

The supervisor reporting process at the South Sumatra Light Rail Transit Management Agency (Balai LRT Sumsel) was previously conducted using paper-based forms, making report management less efficient and increasing the risk of recording errors, document loss, delayed information delivery, and difficulties in retrieving archived reports. This study aims to develop a web-based Supervisor Report Application to support a more effective and well-organized reporting process. The system was developed using the Incremental method, in which each development stage included requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Google Apps Script was used as the backend, Google Sheets as the database, and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop the user interface. The application implements Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) by providing separate access privileges for Officers, Administrators, and Management. System performance was evaluated through Black Box Testing using twelve test scenarios covering the application's primary functions. The testing results confirmed that all functions operated properly and satisfied the defined functional requirements. The developed application simplifies digital reporting, improves report management and data recapitulation, provides statistical information, and supports report export in PDF and Excel formats. These results indicate that the Incremental method is well suited for developing a web-based reporting system that meets the operational needs of Balai LRT Sumsel..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of variations in the composition of raw materials of Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic waste on the characteristics of pyrolysis oil. The pyrolysis process was carried out using a batch-type reactor with a capacity of 2 kg at a constant temperature of 400°C with a residence time of 60 minutes, using variations of pure PP, pure PET, a mixture of 75% PP + 25% PET, and a mixture of 75% PET + 25% PP. The test results showed that the addition of PET fractions was linear with an increase in oil density values, where the highest density was obtained in pure PET at 0.994 g/mL and the lowest in pure PP at 0.964 g/mL. In contrast, the energetic performance and quantity of liquid products were dominated by the PP fraction; Pure PP oil produced the highest calorific value of 10,535.76 Cal/gram with a maximum liquid volume of 390 ml (yield 0.33%), while a mixture of 75% PET + 25% PP produced the lowest calorific value (8,266.82 Cal/gram) and the smallest oil volume of 280 ml (yield 0.29%). Therefore, the use of pure PP raw materials or a mixture dominated by PP is far superior and effective for producing alternative fuels with abundant quantities and high energy quality.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the strategic sectors that plays an important role in increasing regional revenue, making effective planning supported by accurate information essential. One of the key pieces of information required is the prediction of visitor numbers as a basis for developing tourism destination management strategies. This study aims to develop a prediction model for the number of visitors to Guci Tourism using the Random Forest algorithm based on historical data. The research employed the Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology, which consists of six stages: business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. The dataset used in this study consisted of 60 monthly historical records of Guci Tourism from January 2021 to December 2025, obtained from the Department of Youth, Sports, and Tourism of Tegal Regency. The input variables were year and month, while the number of visitors was used as the target variable. The prediction model was developed using the Random Forest Regressor algorithm with an 80:20 split between training and testing data. Model performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The experimental results showed that the model achieved an MAE of 25,950.41, an RMSE of 32,835.06, and an R² value of 0.9624. These results indicate that the Random Forest algorithm is capable of producing visitor predictions that are close to the actual values with good predictive accuracy. Therefore, the Random Forest algorithm can be considered an alternative approach for developing visitor prediction models in the tourism sector.
