Abstract

This study is motivated by the decline in religious understanding among adolescents, even though they attend Islamic-based schools. Data from 2025 indicate several obstacles: 33.87% of students are unable to distinguish between pillars, sunnah, and conditions of worship; 53.23% make mistakes in tajwid and fail to comprehend the meaning of verses; 64.52% focus only on memorizing hadith without understanding their substance; and 24.19% have not mastered the sequence of worship. Furthermore, 83.87% are passive in religious activities, and 64.52% score below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). This raises the question of how far the habituation of religious culture in schools influences students’ religious knowledge. The objectives of this study are to identify the implementation of religious culture in schools, to measure the level of students’ religious knowledge, and to analyze the influence between the two. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and correlational design using simple linear regression analysis. The study population consisted of 163 students, with a sample of 62 students determined through the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, linearity tests, and regression with SPSS. The results show that religious culture in schools has been well implemented, students’ religious knowledge is categorized as good, and there is a positive and significant influence between the two. Thus, religious culture proves to be an important factor in enhancing students’ religious understanding both theoretically and practically.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of improving the quality of education through the integration of guidance and counseling (GC) services under the leadership of the school principal, referring to the thoughts of Jawdat Ezzat Atwi in Al-Idarah al-Madrasiyyah al-Hadithah. The focus of the study is directed at examining how the principal, as an educational leader, is able to optimize the function of GC as a strategic instrument in developing students’ potential, enhancing discipline, shaping character, and addressing learning-related problems. This research employs a qualitative approach through literature analysis and interpretation of Atwi’s ideas on modern school management, particularly in relation to supervision, program coordination, and the development of a conducive learning environment. The findings indicate that effective integration of GC requires principal leadership that is visionary, participatory, and oriented toward quality improvement. Atwi’s perspective underscores the importance of systematic, collaborative, and student-centered school governance, enabling GC services to function optimally as an integral component of educational quality enhancement. Thus, the integration of GC under principal leadership, as conceptualized by Atwi, constitutes a strategic approach to realizing quality, humanistic, and developmentally responsive education in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Sufi values in strengthening virtuous character (akhlak mahmudah) amid the rapid development of the digital era. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and direct observation of current digital behavior, the research explores six key aspects: the core concepts of Sufism as a foundation for soul purification and moral enhancement; the application of Sufi values in everyday digital activities; the contribution of education to moral development in the digital context; the relevance of Sufism in addressing emerging digital challenges; moral issues arising from digital interactions; and spiritual-based solutions to improve self-control and ethical awareness. The findings reveal that Sufi values such as muhasabah (self-reflection), muraqabah (self-monitoring), ikhlas (sincerity), sabr (patience), tawakkul (trust in God), and zuhud (detachment) provide meaningful guidelines for reducing negative behavior in the digital realm, promoting ethical communication, and encouraging wise and responsible use of technology. These spiritual principles assist individuals in navigating digital life with greater awareness, discipline, and integrity. Therefore, Sufism remains a relevant and effective moral framework for confronting ethical challenges and preventing moral decline in the digital age.

Abstract

This research aims to see how Islamic education policies play a role in shaping the character of the nation in the era of globalization. The method used is qualitative by studying books and other sources. The findings show that Islamic education policies play an important role as the basis of national morality and identity in the midst of many foreign cultural influences. The implementation of this policy needs to combine religious values with skills needed in the 21st century, such as critical thinking skills and the ability to use technology. Flexible ways are needed to keep Islamic education relevant, including strengthening the curriculum and teachers' abilities. In this way, Islamic education is expected to produce a generation that has a strong character, is able to compete, and still upholds the values of Islamic teachings.
