Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of an empirical approach in learning aqidah based on Qur'anic stories as a strategy for internalizing values in adolescents. The background of this study is based on the urgent need to present contextual aqidah education, touching on the affective and spiritual aspects of students, and relevant to the challenges of today's adolescent life. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study involved five main informants consisting of teachers and students in an Islamic educational environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and then analyzed using a thematic approach. The results of the study indicate that an empirical approach in learning aqidah, which emphasizes direct experience, value reflection, and strengthening students' emotional involvement through Qur'anic stories, has proven effective in shaping character and increasing adolescent spiritual awareness. The forms of its application include dramatization of the prophet's story, social projects, environmental observation, value discussions, and self-reflection. The main supporting factors in the implementation of this approach include teacher creativity, student openness, institutional support, and the integration of Qur'anic values into school culture. The obstacles faced include time constraints, lack of teacher training, and the dominance of cognitive approaches in the curriculum. This study concludes that an empirical approach based on Qur'anic stories is a strategic alternative for down-to-earth and transformative aqidah education. The implications of this study recommend the development of a sustainable and collaborative learning model to support the formation of a generation of believers, morals, and Qur'anic insight.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of learning transformation following the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MI Irsyadul Mubtadi’in. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate significant changes in seven components of learning: learning objectives, teaching materials, methods, media, students, teachers, and evaluation. Learning objectives are now formulated as learning outcomes, while lesson plans (RPP) have been replaced with more detailed teaching modules. Teaching methods emphasize teacher collaboration and the use of more varied strategies. Learning media have undergone digitalization, encouraging more intensive use of technology. In terms of students, the development of interests, talents, and abilities has become the main focus. Teachers serve as facilitators and are also required to manage digital administration. Learning evaluation is carried out through formative and summative assessments, final assessments, as well as MBK and AKMI assessments, with the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) serving as a substitute for practical exams. This study provides a comprehensive depiction of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in classroom learning and its implications for the teaching and learning process in madrasah settings.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive description of the development of Sufism in Java, focusing primarily on the role of Sunan Bonang as a central figure in spreading and transforming his teachings from the classical period to modern spiritual practices that continue to this day. The research method used is qualitative-historical with a deep literature study approach, including analysis of classical texts, serat (Javanese manuscripts), local manuscripts, and various historical literatures related to Sufism in the Nusantara region. The main findings reveal that Sunan Bonang not only acted as a disseminator of Sufi teachings through cultural and educational approaches but also that his teachings have continued to undergo adaptation, reinterpretation, and innovation within tariqa communities and contemporary spiritual practices. These teachings manifest in collective dhikr, modern Sufi studies, and cultural traditions that actively reinforce the spirituality of Javanese society. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding the continuity and dynamic changes within the Javanese Sufi tradition, as well as its relevance to character education, popular religious practices, and the strengthening of ethical values in the modern era.
