Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of an empirical approach in learning aqidah based on Qur'anic stories as a strategy for internalizing values in adolescents. The background of this study is based on the urgent need to present contextual aqidah education, touching on the affective and spiritual aspects of students, and relevant to the challenges of today's adolescent life. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study involved five main informants consisting of teachers and students in an Islamic educational environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and then analyzed using a thematic approach. The results of the study indicate that an empirical approach in learning aqidah, which emphasizes direct experience, value reflection, and strengthening students' emotional involvement through Qur'anic stories, has proven effective in shaping character and increasing adolescent spiritual awareness. The forms of its application include dramatization of the prophet's story, social projects, environmental observation, value discussions, and self-reflection. The main supporting factors in the implementation of this approach include teacher creativity, student openness, institutional support, and the integration of Qur'anic values into school culture. The obstacles faced include time constraints, lack of teacher training, and the dominance of cognitive approaches in the curriculum. This study concludes that an empirical approach based on Qur'anic stories is a strategic alternative for down-to-earth and transformative aqidah education. The implications of this study recommend the development of a sustainable and collaborative learning model to support the formation of a generation of believers, morals, and Qur'anic insight.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of learning transformation following the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MI Irsyadul Mubtadi’in. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate significant changes in seven components of learning: learning objectives, teaching materials, methods, media, students, teachers, and evaluation. Learning objectives are now formulated as learning outcomes, while lesson plans (RPP) have been replaced with more detailed teaching modules. Teaching methods emphasize teacher collaboration and the use of more varied strategies. Learning media have undergone digitalization, encouraging more intensive use of technology. In terms of students, the development of interests, talents, and abilities has become the main focus. Teachers serve as facilitators and are also required to manage digital administration. Learning evaluation is carried out through formative and summative assessments, final assessments, as well as MBK and AKMI assessments, with the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) serving as a substitute for practical exams. This study provides a comprehensive depiction of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in classroom learning and its implications for the teaching and learning process in madrasah settings.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive description of the development of Sufism in Java, focusing primarily on the role of Sunan Bonang as a central figure in spreading and transforming his teachings from the classical period to modern spiritual practices that continue to this day. The research method used is qualitative-historical with a deep literature study approach, including analysis of classical texts, serat (Javanese manuscripts), local manuscripts, and various historical literatures related to Sufism in the Nusantara region. The main findings reveal that Sunan Bonang not only acted as a disseminator of Sufi teachings through cultural and educational approaches but also that his teachings have continued to undergo adaptation, reinterpretation, and innovation within tariqa communities and contemporary spiritual practices. These teachings manifest in collective dhikr, modern Sufi studies, and cultural traditions that actively reinforce the spirituality of Javanese society. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding the continuity and dynamic changes within the Javanese Sufi tradition, as well as its relevance to character education, popular religious practices, and the strengthening of ethical values in the modern era.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) currently focuses on cognitive aspects, often lacking preventive power in responding to the phenomenon of cyber delinquency among adolescents. Previous studies generally analyzed character education partially, leaving a gap in an integrated approach between spiritual ethics and emotional intelligence in the digital era. Qualitative research based on literature studies (library research) aims to formulate a resolution to the digital empathy crisis through a synthesis of the thoughts of K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari and R.A. Kartini. Content analysis was conducted on primary sources in the form of Adab al-‘Alim wa al-Muta’allim book and Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang book. The research results confirm that the combination of these two thoughts produces a solid character foundation, namely tazkiyatun nafs (K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari), which functions as an inner filter for vertical emotional control, while humanism (R.A. Kartini) fosters horizontal empathy. Novelty of this study lies in the formulation of a balance between manners and empathy as a specific solution to manage the morality of students who are unruly and indisciplined in interacting in cyberspace. The implications of this research suggest that Islamic Religious Education should adopt a dialogic and exemplary approach to enhance students' moral resilience.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Notary/Land Deed Official (PPAT) in mortgage right deletion (roya) and its implications for legal certainty. It employs a qualitative socio-legal approach through field research conducted in Way Kanan from February to March 2026. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation and analyzed interactively using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings show that the role of Notary/PPAT is still dominated by administrative functions, while substantive and educational functions remain suboptimal. The dominance of administrative orientation becomes the main cause of the weak educational function of Notary/PPAT, creating a gap between legal norms and practice. Consequently, delays or failure to conduct roya after debt settlement still frequently occur, resulting in legal uncertainty, obstructed land transactions, and limited access to financing. The effectiveness of this role is influenced by public legal awareness, institutional coordination, service bureaucracy, and the professionalism of Notary/PPAT. This study confirms that legal certainty is shaped through the interaction between norms, actors, and social practices.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a critical analysis of the paradigm shift in Islamic Education (PAI) from the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) to the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum). The primary focus of this research is to identify optimizable opportunities and strategic challenges faced by educators and educational institutions during the implementation process. The methodology employed is a qualitative approach using the library research method, where data were collected through documentation studies and processed using content analysis techniques. The results indicate fundamental differences between the two curricula, starting with a structural transformation from the rigid, competency-based structure of Core Competencies (KI) and Basic Competencies (KD) in K-13 to a more flexible framework based on Learning Outcomes (CP) per phase in Kurikulum Merdeka. This shift provides opportunities for pedagogical innovation, such as differentiated learning and character development through the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5), which enhances the relevance of PAI materials through a more adaptable approach. However, field implementation faces challenges including educators' psychological readiness (culture shock), complexities in designing authentic formative assessments, and a digital literacy gap in utilizing the Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM). The critical analysis concludes that while Kurikulum Merdeka offers a more humanistic and contextual educational transformation, its success heavily depends on systemic support, continuous training, and intensive mentoring for teachers. Practically, this study implies that PAI educators must prioritize peer-mentoring through teacher communities and maximize the use of PMM to bridge the digital literacy gap, ensuring that this change does not become a mere administrative formality.

Abstract

The rapid modernization of education often brings pragmatic tendencies that emphasize technical skills while potentially sidelining the moral and spiritual dimensions that are the core of Islamic education. Therefore, the development of the madrasah curriculum is an inevitability in responding to social dynamics, technological advancement, and 21st-century competency demands without neglecting its distinctive Islamic identity. This study aims to analyze the integration of perennial values with contemporary demands in madrasah curriculum development through a philosophical-historical review. The study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method based on a systematic literature review (SLR). The findings indicate that perennial values, such as ta’dib, morality, and divine orientation, remain relevant as the foundation of the curriculum to balance academic and spiritual growth. Historically, the madrasah curriculum in Indonesia has transformed from a traditional model toward integration with the national system. Practically, this integration is manifested through the implementation of digital literacy, 4C competencies, and the STEAM approach, where Islamic values serve as the spiritual foundation for science and technology. The main implementation challenges include limited facilities, teacher competence gaps, and resistance to change. Therefore, transformational leadership, enhanced teacher professionalism, and curriculum reconstruction that places adab as the core soul of every subject are needed so that madrasahs can produce graduates who are religious, adaptive, and competitive in the Society 5.0 era.
