One of the media used in sharing news is Instagram. In Instagram media there is a comment column for the public to freely comment on the news being shared. Within these comments there are several types of presuppositions. That way the author wants to do an analysis to describe the types of presuppositions contained in the comments on the upload of the official Buddyku Instagram account on October 19, 2022 about the news about Teddy Minahasa. The amount of data is 20 sentences of Instagram comments that are screenshots that are transcribed. The data in this study were analyzed based on George Yule's presupposition theory which divides presuppositions into 6 types of presuppositions. The results showed that of the 6 types of presuppositions according to George Yule, only 5 types of presuppositions were found in the comments on the Buddykuoffficial Instagram account upload on 19 October 2022 about the Teddy Minahasa news, namely existential presuppositions, factual presuppositions, lexical presuppositions, structural presuppositions, and counterfactual presuppositions. The most common type of presupposition is structural presupposition which is indicated by the form of interrogative sentences. Thus it is concluded that in expressing a comment on news uploads from the Buddykuofficial Instagram account, many people use a type of structural presupposition with the intention of the comment writer stating a fact with a question sentence. The fact is that police officers and lawyers in Indonesia cannot be trusted.

Abstract

Phonology is an interdisciplinary science that studies all the mechanical waves in gases, liquids and solids, including vibrations, ultrasound, sound and infrasound. The study of acoustic function is essential nowadays. In conditions of artificial civilization development, complementary electronic ornaments are still very dependent on the level of success with the form of structure and composition of space itself. The problem arises when an adjustment on one side, meant for improvement, shifts the ideal coordinates on the other. For this reason, a comprehensive adjustment and correction idea had to emerge as a solution, with acoustic studies as a starting point. This study tries to describe the ideal pattern design based on investigations and observations of the actual conditions of the Function hall of Building X and tries to determine the suitable material for that space. The stages carried out in the research can be adjusted to the research needs. This step is to get the most comprehensive results with the most effective and efficient steps. Research methods also include integrated software and trial and error analysis. The new pattern design in the Function hall of Building X has good acoustic insulation with some adjustments that still make getting an ideal room evaluation possible.

Abstract

Yorubá is one of the major languages spoken in Nigeria alongside Hausa and Igbo. It has enjoyed extensive research works from both native and non-native authors in virtually all the sub-fields of linguistics. However, there are areas of disagreement among scholars, one of which is the status of the negative maker "ai" as a morpheme or two morphemes. This argument, among other reasons, prompted this paper. Albeit, Oye (2007) argues that negative marker /ai/ is a morpheme while Awobuluyi (2005), Adewole (1992) Solomon (1983) and Olumuyiwa (2006) have a contrary opinion, they claim that the negative prefix marker /ai/ is two morphemes. In this paper, we shall examine the arguments of Yoruba scholars on the negative prefix marker /ai/ as to whether it a unitary morpheme or two separate morphemes. We shall argue in this paper, that the morpheme /i/ has two variants; one is a nominal prefix while the other is a negative marker and the variants are in complementary distribution. We shall also show in this paper that /a/ is a nominal prefix while /i/ is the negative marker in support of the earlier scholars that claim that /ai/ is two morphemes.

Abstract

The Betawi language, like other languages in the world, is in danger of extinction caused by many things, including the dynamics of civilization. This situation threatens many contexts of indigenous Betawi culture and civilization. Therefore, the maintenance and preservation of the Betawi language is a necessity that must be carried out. The problem is the breadth of the Betawi text and linguistic context. For this reason, it is necessary to formulate an approach strategy that is more focused on what are the main factors that must be studied from the impact of damage and the endangerment of the Betawi language on the Betawi people themselves. This study formulates these factors by conducting research and field testing for more than 1 year of intensive observation 24 hours a day. Sociological qualitative analysis in particular observing the social assessment of society is the most effective method found during this research process. As a result, at least 5 segments were found that must be studied to see the impact of damage and the endangerment of the Betawi language, namely linguistic factors, personal identity, communication between generations, transfer of knowledge and knowledge, and economics.
