Abstract

This study aims to describe how school principals lead in managing teacher training and permanent teachers at MTs Hifzil Quran Yayasan Islamic Centre North Sumatra. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that school principals apply a democratic leadership style and still follow the applicable rules, both from the foundation and the ministry. This style gives teachers the freedom to work, but still within the agreed limits. Teachers are still given more room to innovate in learning, while training teachers receive more structured guidance. In addition, important decision-making and salary management are in the hands of the foundation, so there are no conflicts related to the welfare of teachers. This research shows that targeted democratic leadership can create a stable, collaborative work environment and encourage improvement in the quality of learning.

Abstract

Innovative strategies are intended to apply innovative learning methods that differ from conventional methods to achieve educational goals more efficiently and effectively. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the application of innovative strategies in Islamic religious education (PAI) learning as an effort to improve students' understanding of religious material. The research method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing various journal articles, books, and scientific publications relevant to the topic of innovative Islamic religious education (PAI) learning over the past 10 years. The results show that the use of innovative approaches in PAI learning results in a significant increase in student understanding. Innovative learning can accommodate various learning styles, create an interesting and meaningful learning atmosphere, and improve critical thinking skills. Methods such as technology-based learning, active approaches, contextual approaches, and the use of creative media have proven effective in increasing student motivation and helping them understand and apply Islamic values ​​in everyday life. However, several challenges remain in implementing innovative strategies. The conclusion of this study confirms that innovation in PAI learning is crucial to address the challenges of 21st-century education. Islamic Religious Education teachers must innovatively combine technology, active methods, and contextual approaches to provide learning that not only provides knowledge but also builds character and understanding of Islamic teachings in a way that can be applied in real life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi perkembangan bahasa anak usia 4–5 tahun di kelompok A1 RA Hidayatul Mubtadi’in, khususnya pada aspek bahasa reseptif dan ekspresif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala RA, dua guru kelompok A, dan 15 anak usia 4–5 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña yang meliputi pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan bahasa anak berada pada kategori cukup baik. Tidak ada anak yang berada pada kategori Belum Berkembang, sedangkan sebagian besar anak berada pada kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan dan Berkembang Sangat Baik. Anak mampu memahami dan menjalankan perintah sederhana, menggunakan kalimat sederhana, berinteraksi dengan teman dalam kegiatan bermain kelompok, serta menunjukkan minat saat mendengarkan dan membaca cerita. Strategi guru dalam mengembangkan bahasa anak dilakukan melalui kegiatan bercerita, bernyanyi, bermain peran, tanya jawab, dialog sederhana, penggunaan media gambar, dan alat permainan edukatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa stimulasi bahasa yang komunikatif, menyenangkan, berulang, dan terintegrasi dalam kegiatan harian dapat mendukung perkembangan bahasa reseptif dan ekspresif anak usia dini di lingkungan Raudhatul Athfal.

Abstract

This study, titled “An Analysis of the Influence of the Family Environment on the Character Formation of Students at SD Negeri Kampung Batas, Sukajaya Village, Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency,” aims to examine how the family environment shapes students’ character and to assess the extent to which the family contributes to instilling character values in elementary school–aged children. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The study involved a population of 152 students, from which 39 second-grade students were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS through several statistical tests, including validity, reliability, normality, simple regression, and partial t-tests. The results indicate that the family environment has a significant influence on students’ character formation. Parenting styles, the quality of communication at home, and parental role modeling play essential roles in shaping children’s fundamental behavior. At school, character development is reflected in students’ discipline, responsibility, social interaction skills, and adherence to rules. Statistically, the influence of the family environment is significant, with a p-value of 0.041 (p < 0.05) and a regression coefficient of β = 0.329, demonstrating that a more supportive family environment corresponds to more positive character development. In conclusion, the family serves as the primary and most influential factor in shaping the character of elementary school students. Therefore, continuous collaboration between parents and schools is necessary to ensure optimal character development.
