The Indonesian Journal of Arabic Studies provides a means for sustained discussion of relevant issues that fall within the focus and scopes of the journal (Arabic Linguistics, Arabic Literature, and Arabic Applied Linguistics), which can be examined empirically. The journal aims to promote Arabic studies in Indonesia and beyond by offering a platform for researchers, scientists, and academics to publish their results and disseminate their knowledge to the wider scientific community. IJAS accepts papers from researchers, scientists, and academics all across the world. The Indonesian Journal of Arabic Studies welcomes and acknowledges high-quality theoretical and empirical original research papers, case studies, review papers, literature reviews, conceptual frameworks, analytical and simulation models, and technical notes from researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, and students from all over the world. Word Production (Called in Arabic by Al-TawlÄ«d Al-LuÄ¡awy) which means inventing new words is one of development of language phenomenon that happens in any languages including Arabic. This phenomenon is a demand of condition that one language is not capable of expressing ideas and emotions and has something to do with communication with non-speaker or other languages. Thus, a language can influence and be influenced. This paper tried to uncover reasons and theories using comparative study so that it is clear for Arabic language researchers to use tawlid in their research. The writer found eight reasons why neology emerged, which are development of civilization, friction between Arab and Non-Arab, administration system after Islamic expansion, translation process from Greek into Arabic, social and political demands, the beauty of expression, and inventing new scientific terms, while Ibrahim Murad stated five theories about neology: phonetic neology, morphological neology, semantic neology, spontaneous neology, and borrowing neology; as Nasruddin suggested five theories such as transfer of meaning, derivation, derivation from Arabization (mu’rab) or loanwords (dakhil), taulid form coinase and structure, metaphor neology, and meaning expansion.التوليد بمعنى Ø¥ØØ¯Ø§Ø« كلمة جديدة مظهر من مظاهر تطوراللغات منها اللغة العربية.تكون هذه المظاهر من متطلبات الأØÙˆØ§Ù„ من عدم ÙƒÙØ§Ø¦Ø© اللغة ÙÙ‰ تعبير Ø£Ùكار ØµØ§ØØ¨ اللغة Ùˆ مشاعرهم خاصة Ùˆ نتيجة من تعاملهم مع الآخرين ÙØ£Ø«Ø±ÙˆØ§ وتأثّروا. اهتمّ كثير من علماء اللغة بهذه المظاهر Ùˆ Ø¨ØØ«ÙˆØ§ ÙÙ‰ أسبابها Ùˆ دواعىها بل جعلوا قواعدها. This paper aims at studying the persuasion discourse on social networks, many of which are various and numerous, which made it impossible to contain easily, So this paper deliberately selected samples from these sites; and Twitter was selected as a case of study, because a single tweet is restricted to a number of alphabets. However, a tweeter will carefully work on selecting his words and utilize only the appropriate words that can convey his message. Therefore, the paper strictly focuses on the usages of language tools that a twitter uses to persuade a receiver with a message. And the Language strategies are one of the most prominent discourse strategies used by a sender regardless of the authenticity or non-authenticity of the content. So in order to achieve all these objectives, this paper focuses on collecting group of tweet that possesses or utilizes the language tools, and also characterized with a politely suitable content. However, the analysis of this discourse was basically a descriptive analysis, and its application has followed the process of selecting the tool, then expatiating the way the tools is utilized by analyzing how the discourse context of the tweet has achieved the persuasion. Finally This paper generally concluded that the persuasive discourse has a very dynamic structure, and that has made it more complicated to be narrowed in a very certain structure, in addition to that; senders tend to apply a more numeral and diversified methods that are renewable in accordance to the sender's style and language ability. يهد٠هذا Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« إلى تØÙ„يل الخطاب الإقناعي على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، ولكثرة هذه المواقع الاجتماعية، وعدم إمكانية الإلمام بجميعها، Ùقد تعيّن على Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« أن يتخيّر نماذج وعينات من بعضها، ولذلك اختير موقع "تويتر"Ø› لأن المغرّد ملزم Ùيه بعدد Ù…ØØ¯Ø¯ من Ø§Ù„ØØ±ÙˆÙØŒ Ùيسعى جاهدا إلى تقليص عدد كلماته، ويتخير منها ما ÙŠØÙ‚Ù‚ به الغرض من الرسالة، لذا كان صلب اهتمام Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« هو العناية بالآليات اللغوية التي يوظÙها المغرّد لتوليد إقناع المخاطب Ø¨Ù…ØØªÙˆÙ‰ خطابه، وهي من أهم الاستراتيجيات التي يهد٠إليها المخاطب بغض النظر عن مدى ØµØØ© Ø§Ù„Ù…ØØªÙˆÙ‰ من عدمها أو صدقها من كذبها. ولتØÙ‚يق هذا Ø§Ù„Ù‡Ø¯ÙØŒ اتجه Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« إلى جمع مجموعة من عينات التغريدات، معتمدا على التغريدات التي تتوÙّر Ùيها الآليات اللغوية ÙˆÙˆÙØ¸Ù‘Ù Ùيها استراتيجيات لغوية، وتكون -ÙÙŠ الوقت Ù†ÙØ³Ù‡- ملائمة للآداب العامة من ØÙŠØ« Ù…ØØªÙˆØ§Ù‡Ø§ØŒ بعيدة عن التعبيرات الساقطة. أما تØÙ„يل هذه الخطابات Ùقد كانت ذات سمة وصÙية، بØÙŠØ« يعمد Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« إلى ØªØØ¯ÙŠØ¯ الاستراتيجية اللغوية ÙÙŠ الخطاب، ثم يبين كيÙية توظيÙها من خلال تØÙ„يل سياق الخطاب التي وظÙها Ùيها المغرّد لتوليد الإقناع. وقد خلص Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« ÙÙŠ أبرز نتائجه العامة إلى أن الخطاب الإقناعي خطاب ديناميكي من الطراز الأول، إذ إن المرسل كثيرا ما يتوجه إلى توليد آليات متعددة واستراتيجيات Ù…Ø®ØªÙ„ÙØ©ØŒ يختارها تلقائيا طالما أن لديه قناعات بقدرة هذه الاستراتيجية على التأثير ÙÙŠ المتلقي، بناء على ذلك يتوجه -غالبا- إلى توظي٠كثير من الآليات اللغوية التي تتجدد معها البنية اللغوية للخطاب على ØØ³Ø¨ أسلوبه ومقدرته اللغوية.

This study is intended to describe the character of Omar Mukhtar visualized in the film entitled 'Lion of the Desert' and to analyze jihad expressions in the form of statements or questions in the film. This research has used a qualitative approach using narrative analysis method. The subject of this research is the film "The Lion of the Desert" by Moustapha Akkad, while the object of research is the narrative and dialogue of the scenes in the film which are related to the expression of jihad in the film "The Lion of the Desert". The technique of collecting data is by doing documentation techniques, the whole data is described and interpreted so as to produce a descriptive data discussion. The character of Omar Al-Mukhtar is shown in the film as a figure of a believer who holds fast to his religious values, he is also a devout patriot who always increases the fighting spirit of the Libyan people to be free from the grip of the Italian state colonialism. There are seven expressions found in the film's narrative as expressions of jihad, either explicitly or implicitly.

This study highlights Ibn Jinni's contribution to Arabic poetry, especially in Arabic prosody (Al-'Arūd) and rhyme (Al-Qawafi) and to describe his approach to compiling in Arabic prosody and rhyme. This study is a qualitative research using descriptive and analytic methods. Description is useful for describing the life of Ibn Jinni and his knowledge, then his contribution to the science of Arabic prosody and rhyme, and analysis is carried out to analyze the formulation of his approach in Arabic poetry, namely prosody and rhyme. The study found that Ibn Jinni's Prosodi concept as stated in his work entitled Al-'Arud agrees with the principles put forward by Al-Khalil bin Ahmed, especially in fifteen poetic meters (buḥur) and differ in one meter (bahar). Ibn Jinni has a thematic method in making poetry works, this makes it very easy for students to understand learning the prosody of Arabic poetry and rhymes.

Sri Lanka is a non-Arab country which gives utmost priority for teachingSinhalese, Tamil and English languages, a question arises on how the teaching activities can be performed according to the academic curricula and regulations, how Arabic language teaching books are composed, and how the religious schools can be supervisedby non-governmental social entities, abiding by the principles of teaching while facing several challenges. This study strives to find the solutions for such issues. To conduct this research, the researcher has followed the descriptive and analytical approach, for which he has taken three long-standing religious colleges namely (Al-Bari Arabic College, Al-Ghafooriya Arabic College and JamiathulFalah Arabic College) that have contributed to boom up the Arabic language in Sri Lanka and have been rendering this service for more than seventy five years. Also the researcher found that teaching methodologies of Arabic language have not been developed enough in Sri Lanka according to the modern era, although it is being taught in various fields and level at national universities, government and religious schools. These institutions follow the traditional curricula in teaching Arabic language. The process of teaching Arabic in Sri Lanka needs to unify the textbooks into a general academic curriculum, which will be suitable for the contemporary world inclusive of all fields of study that are implemented in the religious schools, in addition to appointing Arabic language teachers from Arab countries, planning and implementing projects in order to face the challenges that the Arabic language is going through in Sri Lanka, while encouraging them to teach the functional Arabic language rather than applying traditional memorizing teaching Methods and organizing teacher training.

This study aims to analysis the Phonetics errors of the Zarma-Songhai students during their studies of Arabic as a second language, after observing many problems that these students face during the pronunciation of some Arabic sounds such as الخاء /Ø®/ والضاد /ض/ والصاد /ص/...ØŒ. The study was limited to analyzing the vowels and consonants sounds without bend to other phonological or linguistical errors, and we adopted a contrastive analysis approach to compare the sounds between Arabic and Zarma-Songhai, to find out the common, similar or different sounds between the two languages, and we have reached (16) common sounds, and (12) missing Arabic sounds in the Songhai language. It is where the students faces difficulty in acquiring this sounds, and the most difficult among them are the sounds of the “tip of the tongue and above the folds†sounds witch are : / ص /, / ض /, / Ø·/ and the sounds of the “tip of the tongue and the edges of the sounds†like/ ظ /, / Ø« /, / ذ /. Then we monitored the students' mistakes according to the error analysis approach (identifying, explaining, and correcting the error). Finally, we presented many ways to solve sound problems of phonetics errors and some vocal training models such as Minimal-Pairs تهد٠هذه الدراسة إلى تØÙ„يل أخطاء طلاب الزرما-السنغاي عند تعلمهم اللغة العربية لغة ثانية، وذلك بعد Ù…Ù„Ø§ØØ¸Ø© العديد من المشاكل التي يواجهها هؤلاء الطلاب الزرما- سنغاي عند نطق بعض الأصوات العربية مثل: الخاء /Ø®/ والضاد /ض/ والصاد /ص/...ØŒ واقتصرت الدراسة على تØÙ„يل أصوات الظواهر القطعية دون غيرها من الأخطاء الصوتية أو اللغوية، وقد انتهجنا منهج التØÙ„يل التقابلي للمقارنة بين الأصوات ÙÙŠ العربية والزرما-سنغاي Ù„Ù…Ø¹Ø±ÙØ© الأصوات مشتركة ومتشابهة أو Ù…Ø®ØªÙ„ÙØ© بينمها، وقد توصلنا إلى وجود (16) صوتا مشتركة، Ùˆ (12) صوتا عربية Ù…Ùقودة ÙÙŠ اللغة السنغاي. وهي التي يواجه Ùيها الدراس صعوبة ÙÙŠ اكتسابها، وأن أصعبها عليهم هي أصوات مخارج "طر٠اللسان وما Ùوق الثنايا": /ض/ØŒ /Ø·/ØŒ /ص/ وأصوات "طر٠اللسان وأطرا٠الثنايا": /ظ/ØŒ /ذ/ØŒ /Ø«/. وبعدها رصدنا أخطاء الطلاب على نهج تØÙ„يل الأخطاء (ØªØØ¯ÙŠØ¯ الخطأ ÙˆØªÙØ³ÙŠØ±Ù‡ØŒ وتصويبه). ÙˆÙÙŠ الأخير قدمنا العديد من سبل ØÙ„ مشاكل الأصوات وبعض نماذج التدريب على الصوتي مثل الثنائيات الصغرى.

This research contains three objectives, the first of which is to extrapolate the positions of the call of the flags that are mentioned in the Qur’anic verses and to form a clear picture of this type of call with the analysis of a number of Qur’anic evidence rhetorically. The second is to follow what the rhetoricians dealt with regarding directing the discourse in the style of the appeal, and the use of the forms of the appeal in a way other than its original meaning. The third is to monitor the overall relationship between the question and the Qur’anic call and the significance of this relationship. In writing this research, the researcher followed the inductive and analytical approaches by extrapolating and tracing the texts and then analyzing them rhetorically. The research concluded with several results, including: (1) The Noble Qur'an has numerous references to the call to science, therefore it is an honor for the herald in some cases and a mocking in others. (2) In many places, the Qur'anic verses adopted the method of calling, which is one of the methods of preparation and educational preparation that leads to attracting the caller's attention and urging him to approach and focus, as well as creating a sense of familiarity, grooming, and privacy that makes him feel how important it is, and the interest of the Qur'anic discourse in it makes him more ready to receive and comply. (3) The frequent occurrence of command, prohibition, and interrogation construction methods associated with the Qur'anic call, as well as their occurrence in the Holy text, is frequently accompanied by a semantic shift in which these methods separate their direct literal significance from other indications, which is known in the old rhetorical lesson as the idea of purposes. This change from literal to rhetorical meaning implies a unique capacity that aids in drawing the recipient's attention and maintaining his communication with the text at its most responsive and interactive level.Â ÙŠØØªÙˆÙŠ Ù‡Ø°Ø§ Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« على ثلاثة Ø£Ù‡Ø¯Ø§ÙØŒ أولها استقراء مواضع نداء الأعلام التي وردت ÙÙŠ السور القرآنية وتكوين صورة ÙˆØ§Ø¶ØØ© لهذا النمط من أنماط النداء مع تØÙ„يل عدد من الشواهد القرآنية تØÙ„يلا بلاغيا. ثانيها تتبع ما تناوله البلاغيون بشأن توجيه الخطاب ÙÙŠ أسلوب النداء، واستعمال صيغ النداء ÙÙŠ غير معناه الأصلي. ثالثها رصد العلاقة الجامعة بين الاستÙهام والنداء القرآني ومعزى هذه العلاقة. واتبع Ø§Ù„Ø¨Ø§ØØ« ÙÙŠ كتابة هذا Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« المنهجين الاستقرائي والتØÙ„يلي وذلك باستقراء وتتبع النصوص ثم تØÙ„يلها بلاغيا. وقد خلص Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« إلى عدة نتائج منها: (1) تتعدد دلالات النداء بالعلمية ÙÙŠ القرآن الكريم ÙØªÙƒÙˆÙ† ÙÙŠ بعض الشواهد ØªØ´Ø±ÙŠÙØ§ للمنادى وتكون سخرية منه ÙÙŠ بعضها الآخر.(2) اعتمدت السور القرآنية أسلوب النداء ÙÙŠ مواضع كثيرة وهو Ø£ØØ¯ أساليب التوطئة والتهيئة التربوية التي تؤدي إلى جذب انتباه المنادي ÙˆØØ«Ù‡ على الاقتراب والتركيز وإيجاد نوع من Ø§Ù„Ø£Ù„ÙØ© والاستمالة والخصوصية التي تشعره بمدى أهميته واهتمام الخطاب القرآني به يجعله أكثر استعدادا للتلقي والامتثال. (3) كثرة ورود الأساليب الإنشائية من أمر ونهي واستÙهام مقترنة مع النداء القرآني وكثيراً ما يكون ورودها ÙÙŠ النص الكريم مصØÙˆØ¨Ø§ بتØÙˆÙ„ دلالي ØªÙØ§Ø±Ù‚ Ùيه هذه الأساليب دلالتها Ø§Ù„ØØ±Ùية المباشرة إلى دلالات Ø£ÙØ®Ø± وهو ما يعر٠ÙÙŠ الدرس البلاغي القديم بÙكرة الأغراض. وهذا التØÙˆÙ„ من الدلالة Ø§Ù„ØØ±Ùية المباشرة إلى الدلالة البلاغية ينطوي على قدرة Ù„Ø§ÙØªØ© تسهم ÙÙŠ جذب انتباه المتلقي وبقاء تواصله مع النص ÙÙŠ أكثر ØØ§Ù„اته تجاوبا ÙˆØªÙØ§Ø¹Ù„ا.

This study deals with the definition of the legal language, its characteristics, its patterns and relationship to the general language, with the application of that in the Arabic language. The study paid attention to its applications in the Arabic language due to laxity of this type of language in the area of teaching Arabic. The study follows the descriptive analytical approach. The data of the legal document subjected to analysis and collected randomly from Arab legal and legislative publications. As the study shows, the legal language characterized with certain features that turned it to be different from the rest of the other types of language. These distinctive elements include amongst others: strangeness, ambiguity, excessive length of the sentence. This study is concerned with standing on the bragging about our Arab heritage, an attempt to elucidate the impact of this art on the development of Arab rhetorical thought, as the brags can be an early start for the pilgrims' theory that came as the result of the effects of modern stylistic studies. The study tries to root and clarify this through heritage books, and this is not what makes us stand as the defender of heritage, but rather it is an attempt to link the old with the modern, as ancient Arab literature was not separate from life, but rather discussed life issues in a literary manner. The research aims to study character building in Abdul Rahman Munif's novel The Long Distance Race. The writer has sought to convey his novelistic characters through narrative and creative ways, such as using multiple patterns to highlight its varied qualities and features. His study used the structural approach, but benefited from other critical techniques as necessary given the study's nature. The investigation found several key findings, including: First, the narrator does not reveal most of the novelistic characters' traits, but rather those that serve the story's circumstances and goals. Because the narrator depended on presenting the physical component in two ways: telling and showing, it is vital in establishing the primary character. Second: The physical dimension is an important part in building the main character. Third, the psychological component shows us the personality's psychological states, emotions, and feelings, as seen in the psychological battle that the hero Peter has with Bashir, and how he attempts to avoid falling in love with her and racing towards her. Fourth, the writer elected to blend the two narrators, resulting in a mixed vision called dual vision. Fifth, the novel's writer did not give the character the role of showing himself. Most of the characters have suggestive implications, manifested via their position and direction in the world of narration, thereby forging the connection between the meaning of the character's name and the path of the novel's events.ÙŠÙ‡Ø¯Ù Ø§Ù„Ø¨ØØ« إلى دراسة بناء الشخصية ÙÙŠ رواية عبد الرØÙ…Ù† مني٠"سباق Ø§Ù„Ù…Ø³Ø§ÙØ§Øª الطويلة". سعى الكاتب إلى نقل شخصياته الروائية بطرق سردية وإبداعية ØŒ مثل استخدام أنماط متعددة لإبراز خصائصها وخصائصها المتنوعة. استخدمت دراسته المنهج الهيكلي ØŒ لكنها Ø§Ø³ØªÙØ§Ø¯Øª من تقنيات نقدية أخرى ØØ³Ø¨ الضرورة نظرًا لطبيعة الدراسة. توصل التØÙ‚يق إلى عدة نتائج رئيسية ØŒ منها: أولاً ØŒ لا يكش٠الراوي عن معظم سمات الشخصيات الروائية ØŒ بل تلك التي تخدم ظرو٠القصة وأهداÙها. لأن الراوي اعتمد على تقديم المكون المادي بطريقتين: الØÙƒÙŠ ÙˆØ§Ù„Ø¹Ø±Ø¶ ØŒ Ùهو أمر ØÙŠÙˆÙŠ ÙÙŠ تأسيس الشخصية الأساسية. ثانيًا: البعد المادي جزء مهم ÙÙŠ بناء الشخصية الرئيسية. ثالثًا ØŒ ÙŠÙØ¸Ù‡Ø± لنا المكون Ø§Ù„Ù†ÙØ³ÙŠ Ø§Ù„ØØ§Ù„ات Ø§Ù„Ù†ÙØ³ÙŠØ© للشخصية ÙˆØ§Ù†ÙØ¹Ø§Ù„اتها ومشاعرها ØŒ كما يظهر ÙÙŠ المعركة Ø§Ù„Ù†ÙØ³ÙŠØ© التي خاضها البطل بيتر مع بشير ØŒ ÙˆÙƒÙŠÙ ÙŠØØ§ÙˆÙ„ تجنب الوقوع ÙÙŠ ØØ¨Ù‡Ø§ والتسابق Ù†ØÙˆÙ‡Ø§. رابعًا ØŒ اختار الكاتب أن يدمج بين الراويين ØŒ مما أدى إلى رؤية مختلطة تسمى الرؤية المزدوجة. خامسًا ØŒ لم ÙŠÙ…Ù†Ø ÙƒØ§ØªØ¨ الرواية الشخصية دور إظهار Ù†ÙØ³Ù‡. معظم الشخصيات لها دلالات Ø¥ÙŠØØ§Ø¦ÙŠØ© ØŒ تتجلى من خلال موقعها واتجاهها ÙÙŠ عالم السرد ØŒ مما يؤدي إلى إقامة صلة بين معنى اسم الشخصية ومسار Ø£ØØ¯Ø§Ø« الرواية.
