Abstract

In the era of advance technology, Indonesia participates as one of the countries that has a great number of internet users with 88,1 million active users in 2016. Yahoo and Daylysocial.net also said that Indonesian internet users prefer to access information through internet rather than radio or newspaper. This phenomenon indicates that various mass media must be converged with online in order to be easily accessed by the users. Tribun Jateng as one of the media incorporated in Group of Regional Newspaper, Kompas Gramedia, has done its convergence with online media. Tribun Jateng has a website called jateng.tribunnews.com. There is a section in the website called Enjoy Semarang, but does not become a priority for Tribun Jateng editorial staff. That phenomenon can be seen from several evidences: the travel news which was not updated and some of them which were adapted from other media. Moreover, the number of its visitors is less than other sections in Tribun Jateng website. We, as the team of the research study, have evaluated that Enjoy Semarang is potential to share information and support the business of Tribun Jateng. This is supported by two reasons: the huge interest of travel news and the rapid evolving of tourism industry in Indonesia. We have worked together with Tribun Jateng to build Enjoy Semarang section, which then changed into travel section. We have applied a lot of innovations with regard to the concept of covering news, multimedia integration (infographic, travel videos, map, and photo gallery), new integration of social media, marketing, and business for the sections. For two months and 21 days, the result is the increase of page view until 12,263. There were 310 news, four infographics, 22 photo galleries, four videos, nine maps, 800 followers of Instagram and Line, and more than 1,000 comments on social media. As for business, we got two advertorials. We made a series of online and offline events to increase the awareness of the travel section from 27% to 75%. Today, online media has become the reference of the readers. High competition makes each media cannot ignore the technology updates because it can build the innovation of technology and the special characteristics of the media. In the implementation, the competition has pulled the journalistic practice so that it has shifted from its own ideal values. The essence of journalism as the resources and the educators has changed, and it more concerns with the entertainment. This has led to the large number of the readers so that the business profit becomes bigger.

Abstract

Sponsorship as a marketing program is expected to help build a positive image to enhance the financial benefits of a company. Bank Negara Indonesia or BNI use this channel to be the official sponsor of Chelsea FC to build awareness and brand image to continue to compete in the world of banking. This study aims to determine the Correlation of Attractiveness BNI’s Sponsorship to Chelsea FC and affiliate groups with interest in the use of services. The theory used in this study is Information Integration Theory, and the Cognitive Learning Theory. Sampling technique were used is Non-Probability Sampling is that purposive sampling. Respondents in this study are those who have not used the services of BNI, have a favorite football club and diligently follow the latest news about football least once a week. Analysis Kendall correlation test is used to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that there is no correlation between attractiveness BNI’s sponsorship to chelsea fc and interest in the use of services, where the significance value as big as 0.966. Furthermore, there is a weak correlation between the affiliate group and interest in the use of services, where the significance value as big as 0.022 and a correlation coefficient as big as 0,207. Then, this study provides advice to Bank Negara Indonesia to establish close cooperation with the parties or have close connection with BNI products, such as for example by working with Indonesian public figure is more familiar with the Indonesian community. And then the sponsorship events should be pack in communicative way

Abstract

Smartphone is not only needed by adults, but also needed by teenagers. Smartphone has many functions and advantages such as making the process of communication easier between persons. This research aims to describe how children are open to their parents related to their relationship to special persons of them via smartphone. This research is also a qualitative research with phenomenology approach which tries to explore and understand how smartphone is used in keeping the interpersonal communication between parents and children opened and with no secret. And so, the method of this research is a direct and deep interview with the research subject. The result of this research is the first, child is still closed to parents about dating relationship they have. They tend to pick and choose what is told to parents, even one of them take advantage of the smartphone to communicate with a boyfriend without their parents knowing. The second is the closing of the child makes the parents actively communicating to children to find out any activities outside the home study, go about his personal life. Closing of the child is also triggered by the advice parents to focus on school first, so they were reluctant to talk about his personal life.

Abstract

Holding an event is one of marketing communication tool that conducted by a company, institution, or organization to achieve certain goals. In the implementation, to reach the desired targets of visitors, event organizer can invite buzzer media partner as third party to promote their event, including in Semarang city. One of buzzer media partner form that exist in Semarang is EVENTSMGID. EVENTSMGID have done media buzzing well to attract consumers. However, in reality there are some events which are cooperate and trusting marketing strategy through social media to EVENTSMGID could not reach the visitors that they want so they loss.Therefore, this research aim to know whether buzz marketing of EVENTSMGID is correlated with follower decision to come to EVENTSMGID Media Partner. Beside buzz marketing exposure, this research also examining the correlation of Educational Level of Follower with follower decision to come to EVENTSMGID Media Partner. The theory used in this research is Elaboration Likelihood Theory. This is explanatory research that will explaining cause and effect among variables. Sample of this research are active followers of EVENTSMGID during one last year. The amount of respondents are 96 peoples took based on purposive sampling. Data analysis used in this research is Kendall Tau-B analysis. The results of this research showed that the exposure of buzz marketing has positively correlated with follower decision to come to EVENTSMGID Media Partner and the educational level of follower has negatively correlated with follower decision to come to EVENTSMGID Media Partner.

Abstract

Semakin berkembangnya teknologi komunikasi saat ini, telah memberikan kita banyak kemudahan untuk berkomunikasi dengan satu orang maupun banyak orang sekaligus. Seperti dalam media sosial Bigo Live, sebuah media sosial baru dimana dapat melakukan siaran video secara live melalui ponsel dan penyiar dapat berinteraksi secara langsung dengan penontonnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan mempelajari fenomena Bigo Live. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fenomenologis. Dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan indept interview dengan lima orang informan yang berasal dari Kota Semarang. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa orang-orang menggunakan Bigo Live karena mempunyai suatu tujuan tersendiri seperti mengisi waktu luang, menambah teman, hingga mempromosikan jualannya. Dan seiring berjalannya waktu, mereka juga ingin mengumpulkan hadiah dari para penontonnya. Namun para informan belum menukarkan beans milik mereka kedalam bentuk uang karena merasa hal tersebut sangat berat, hingga lebih memilih untuk menukarkan kembali dalam bentuk diamonds. Aktivitas yang mereka lakukan pun juga cukup beragam untuk dapat menarik perhatian penonton. Bahkan dari menggunakan Bigo, kita juga bisa mendapatkan sesuatu yang menguntungkan seperti penghasilan, teman serta pasangan. Kendala banned yang mereka hadapi terjadi karena mereka menyuguhkan konten siaran yang bertentangan dengan peraturan yang dibuat oleh Bigo Live.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged Tribun Jateng newspaper to form the website named jateng.tribunnews.com. There are various sections included in the website; one of them is travel section called Enjoy Semarang. In its management, Enjoy Semarang section does not work very well in attracting its visitors or viewers. Based on the observation, the number of Enjoy Semarang visitors is only about 1392 visitors. Moreover, the content included in the news does not represent the name and the region of where Tribun Jateng comes from. The published news on the website is mostly derived by copying news from the other incorporated media or adapting news from foreign media. Because of that reasons, there is some travel news that contains information from outside Semarang, Central Java or even Indonesia. Besides its content, the distribution of the news through social media has not been optimized yet. Online Tribun Jateng has three social media accounts; they are Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. With regard to the distribution through social media, Tribun Jateng does not use a specific method so that most of the news is published in the same way. As we can see, tourism as one of the most interesting topics is potential to attract the website visitors. We have incorporated with Tribun Jateng to manage this section. This management is intended to provide new and original news and to share information about tourism world and culinary in Semarang and Central Java through Enjoy Semarang section that can be accessed by the public. Besides, we also have handled the editorial and the social media management to distribute news from Enjoy Semarang section which has now been renamed the Travel section. The total number that can be gotten from Tribun Jateng Travel section is 13,000 per two months. This number is more than the minimal target which is 4,329 visitors. Within a day, the number of the obtained traffic has reached 900 visitors. Tribun Jateng team has also succeeded in making 316 news which is higher than minimum target, 300 news for two months. During the project, Tribun Jateng Travel team has also succeeded in making two social media accounts; Instagram travel specialization and Line. Those two accounts have reached its target within 800 total followers. Travel section like Tribun Jateng Travel has huge potential to get a large number of visitors. The priority is to keep the quality of the news in order not to lose the visitors. The rise of the traffic number will impact on the existence of online media

Abstract

Perbedaan genesai pada orang tua X, Y dengan anak di generasi Z dapat menimbulkan perbedaan dan kesalahpahaman dalam memandang pendidikan di antara keduanya, hal ini yang menjadi tekanan tersendiri bagi anak di generasi Z.. Tekanan tersebut tidak dapat ditampung oleh anak pada generasi Z dan berdapak pada stres akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komunikasi interpersonal dalam menghadapi stres akademik pada anak di generasi Z, dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, paradigma Interpretif dan teknik analisis fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang berada di Kota Semarang dengan anak dengan usia 6-11 tahun dan masih menempuh pendidikan sekolah dasar kelas 3-6. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menangani stres pada anak di generasi Z, orang tua dapat melibatkan anak dalam diskusi dan dipersilahkan untuk.memilih apa yang ia senangi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar anak adalah dengan membangun komunikasi interpersonal secara tatap muka dan meningkatkan jarak intim dengan anak. Upaya tersebut dilakukan agar orang tua lebih mengetahui kondisi emosi anak serta menciptakan keterbukaan siantara keduanya sehingga mudah terjadi diskusi dari kesalahpahaman dan perbedaan pendapat.

Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan untuk tetap mempertahankan hubungan pasca terjadinya konflik pada hubungan berpacaran merupakan tindakan yang paling penting dalam kelangsungan sebuah intimate relationship. Menyelesaikan sebuah konflik secara konstruktif dan menawarkan beberapa alternatif menjadi salah satu cara yang ditempuh agar mendapatkan hasil terbaik demi masa depan sebuah hubungan. Konsekuensi yang diterima dan bagaimana cara menjalani sebuah keputusan yang telah dibuat juga menjadi penentu sebuah hubungan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman pasangan berpacaran mengenai pengambilan keputusan para pasangan berpacaran setelah berkonflik dan konsekuensi yang ditimbulkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, paradigma interpretif, dan teknik analisa data yang digunakan megacu pada metode fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian adalah dua pasang informan yang telah membina hubungan berpacaran minimal satu tahun. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Segitiga Cinta (The Triangular of Love Theory), dan Managing Conflict Contructively Theory. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa setiap pasangan yang memutuskan tetap bersama pasca terjadinya konflik dalam sebuah hubungan ini memiliki konsekuensi yang beragam sesuai dengan konflik yang dialami, seperti bertoleransi atas kekurangan satu sama lain, mencoba membenahi diri menjadi lebih baik, hingga menjalani hubungan dengan cara backstreet. Dari hasil temuan penelitian diungkapkan bahwa konflik yang dialami informan tidak hanya berasal dari dalam diri pasangan itu sendiri (faktor eksternal) melainkan juga dari pihak-pihak yang berada di sekitar pasangan, seperti teman dan keluarga (faktor eksternal).

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country which located in ring of fire zone. It means, the potency of natural disaster is huge in this region. Flood is one of the most common disaster that happen in Indonesia, especially in DKI Jakarta province. Based on data from WHO, flood that happen in February 2007 and hit 80 districts in Jakarta caused traffic chaos and disabling the city. More than 73.000 houses flooded with 10 cm untill 5 m water level. This research aim to doing evaluation towards strategic communication that conducted by the official of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Republic of Indonesia in terms of utilization of mobile phone campaign for tidal flood disaster management in North Jakarta. This research using descriptive qualitative method with case study approach. This research using Information Processing Theory Mc Guire, Systematic-Heuristic Model, and Ellaboration Likelihood Model. This research was conducted with six informants, consist of two informants that comes from Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, two informants from local people in North Jakarta, one informant from BMKG (Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency) and one informant from BPBD (Regional Board for Disaster Management). The result of this research is strategic communication since planning until evaluating of the campaign is very important to do, to achieve the goals. While conducting mobile phone campaign, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology was doing analysis, set the standards and targets, set the strategy and tactics, time allocation, resources, and also doing evaluation.

Abstract

Orangtua dapat berperan sebgai guru, teman bahkan gatekeeper bagi anak-anak mereka. Seperti yang dikatakan oleh Soekanto (2004;87) orangtua sangat berpengaruh dalam mendidik anak-anak mereka yang boleh dikatakan masih sangat bergantung pada lingkungan keluarganya. Pengawasan orang tua sangat berperan bagi remaja ketika menggunakan smartphone agar dapat mengurangi pengaruh negatif yang ditimbulkan dari penggunaan smartphone. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya pengaruh antara intensitas penggunaan smartphone dan pengawasan orangtua terhadap perilaku antisosial pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan paradigma positivistic untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan kausalitas atau sebabakibat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Literasi Media, Media Equation Theory, Teori Kognitif Sosial dan Parental Mediation Theory. Penelitian akan dilakukan kepada 32 responden yang memiliki karakteristik sama. Responden diambil anak usia remaja karena dianggap masih membutuhkan pengawasan orang tua pada saat menggunakan smartphone. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh F hitung sebesar 29,976 lebih besar daripafa F tabel sebesar 3,33, maka intensitas penggunaan smartphonedan pengawasan orangtua secara simultan berpengaruh pada munculnya perilaku antisosial pada remaja. Pada pengujian koefisien regresi secara parsial diperoleh intensitas penggunaan smartphone sebesar 6,789 dan pengawasan orang tua sebesar -4,801, semua perhitungan menunjukkan lebih besar dari perhitungan T tabel yakni sebesar 2,042, artinya bahwa semua variabel bebas berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap variabel terikat. Pengawasan orang tua terhadap anak remaja sangat dibutuhkan pada saat menggunakan smartphone agar dapat mengurangi pengaruh negatif yang ditimbulkan oleh smartphone tersebut. Karena anak – anak pada saat keadaan emosi lebih suka mengekspresikannya dengan perilaku – perilaku antisosial yang tidak sesuai dengan norma yang ada. Pada saat ini anak menganggap bahwa perilaku seerti menampar atau berkelahi dengan teman adalah suatu hal yang wajar. Peraturan-peraturan yang digunakan oleh orangtua dalam membatasi anak-anak pada saat menggunakan smartphone mengenai apa saja konten yang boleh diakses dalam smartphone mereka dapat berperan dalam mengurangi munculnya perilaku antisosial pada remaja.
