The ability to think critically is one of the skills that need to be developed from the elementary school level so that students are able to understand, analyze, and solve various problems in learning and daily life. Efforts to build these abilities can be done through the application of a learning model that places students as the center of learning activities, one of which is through Problem Based Learning (PBL). This study aims to describe the effect of the use of the Problem Based Learning model on the critical thinking ability of elementary school students through a literature study approach. Research data was obtained from various scientific journals, previous research results, and reference sources relevant to the topic of discussion. All data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques through the process of collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the application of Problem Based Learning is able to create a more active learning atmosphere and encourage students to be directly involved in the problem-solving process. In addition to helping students relate material to real situations, this model also contributes to the development of higher-level thinking skills, particularly in discussion activities, group work, and decision-making. Based on these findings, Problem Based Learning can be considered as an effective learning alternative to support the improvement of students' critical thinking skills at the elementary/middle school level.

. In the context of education in the digital era, the presence of learning media such as digital flipbooks is an important strategy to increase student motivation and learning engagement. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using interactive digital flipbooks in increasing student motivation and engagement in the learning process. The use of this media is seen as able to bridge the gap between the needs of students who are familiar with technology and conventional learning methods that tend to be less engaging. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method on high school students who have used digital flipbooks in learning activities. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of learning documents. Data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns of flipbook use, student responses to the media, and their impact on aspects of motivation and learning engagement. The results showed that the use of interactive digital flipbooks had a positive Influence on increasing learning interest, active student involvement during learning, and a deeper understanding of the Material. Attractive visualizations, interactive features, and ease of access made students more enthusiastic about participating in learning. However, challenges were still found in the form of limited device access and teachers’ abilities in designing flipbooks that suit students’ needs. Therefore, ongoing training and technical support are needed to optimize the use of this media. This Research provides a practical contribution to the development of digital learning media that is relevant to the characteristics of today’s generation of learners and supports participatory, innovative, and meaningful learning

: Improving employee performance in Islamic cooperatives should not only focus on achieving financial targets, but also be in line with Islamic values. This study was motivated by the lack of empirical studies discussing the role of Islamic work culture as a strategy for strengthening employee performance, particularly at BMT UGT Nusantara's Riam Durian Branch. This study aims to examine the application of Islamic work culture and employee performance improvement at BMT UGT Nusantara Riam Durian Branch. The research method used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews, field observations, and source triangulation. The sources in this study consisted of branch managers and operational employees. Findings from the study indicate that the implementation of Islamic work culture through the practice of Islamic activities such as spiritual movement, recitation, and completion of the Qur'an has succeeded in internalizing the values of STAF (Shiddiq, Tabligh, Amanah, and Fathonah) into each employee. The culture of discussion and the exemplary leadership of managers can improve employee performance. This performance improvement is reflected in better work quality, the achievement of work quantity targets, the formation of a solid team based on Islamic brotherhood, and the emergence of work initiatives and motivation based on spiritual awareness. This study concludes that Islamic work culture not only functions as an organizational identity but also plays an effective and sustainable role in improving employee performance at BMT UGT Nusantara

Facilities management is a crucial aspect in ensuring the quality of the learning process in higher education. This study aims to analyze facilities management at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya, focusing on three dimensions: planning, utilization, and maintenance. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Research subjects consisted of the Head of Administration Division, an administrative staff member, and a user representative, namely the Head of the Teacher Professional Education Program. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results show that facilities planning is carried out hierarchically through coordination between the faculty, the General Bureau, and the university, and is discussed in faculty academic meetings. An important finding of this study is the contribution of alumni as an alternative source for facilities procurement; however, this practice has not been supported by a written priority mechanism. Facilities utilization has been relatively effective through a two-session daily classroom scheduling system that prevents conflicts among study programs. Nevertheless, laboratory scheduling remains decentralized, and written standard operating procedures for facilities use are not yet comprehensive. In terms of maintenance, minor maintenance is handled responsively, while major damage still depends on the General Bureau, resulting in uncertain repair timelines. The main structural weaknesses are the absence of a dedicated maintenance budget at the faculty level and the lack of transparency in the asset disposal process. This study highlights the need to strengthen facilities governance through priority-based planning, written SOPs, and more structured maintenance budgeting

Abstract (maximum 250 words) This article offers a theory-driven evaluation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (Makan Bergizi Gratis/MBG) in Indonesia by positioning the Qur'anic concept of halalan ṭayyiban as an evaluative philosophy rather than merely a normative slogan. The study responds to a gap in the literature: previous discussions of MBG have often described nutrition, charity, or food safety separately, while fewer studies have developed an explicit programme theory that connects Islamic ethical principles, food governance, and educational quality. Using a qualitative documentary design, this study analyses Tafsir Al-Mishbah on QS. Al-Baqarah 2:168, official policy documents, public programme reports, and relevant academic literature. Data were interpreted through framework analysis, pattern matching, and contribution analysis to construct a logic model covering inputs, activities, outputs, mechanisms, outcomes, and risks. The findings show that halalan ṭayyiban expands the evaluation criteria of MBG from calorie provision to a more comprehensive standard of legality, safety, hygiene, nutritional adequacy, dignity, equity, and educational benefit. The programme theory indicates that MBG can contribute to educational quality when nutritious and safe meals improve students' health, attendance, concentration, learning readiness, and trust in school-based public services. However, these outcomes depend on governance mechanisms, including supplier accountability, hygiene control, menu planning, certification, monitoring, and responsive feedback. The article contributes to theory-driven evaluation, Islamic educational ethics, and education policy by offering a value-based evaluative framework for improving MBG implementation in Indonesia.

This study evaluates the impact of soft skills and hard skills on the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMP IT NW Teko. The issue is important because PAI teacher professionalism is shaped not only by subject-matter mastery but also by teachers’ ability to build educational relationships, guide character development, manage classrooms, and adapt to learning technology. The study employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews with the principal, PAI teachers, peer teachers, and students, and document analysis of lesson plans and teacher development activities. Data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, theme construction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Trustworthiness was strengthened through source triangulation, technique triangulation, cross-data consistency checks, and researcher reflexivity. The findings show that soft skills affect the development of trust, warm communication, more humane discipline, and moral guidance that is closer to students’ lived experiences. Hard skills affect teachers’ readiness to design instruction, master learning materials, use digital media, develop assessment tools, and identify follow-up learning needs. The synergy between both skill sets shapes holistic PAI teacher professionalism: pedagogically and technically competent, personally mature, and socially-spiritually grounded. The contribution of this article lies in demonstrating that the evaluation of PAI teacher professionalism should read the impact of soft skills and hard skills integratively rather than separately. Practically, schools need to strengthen teacher development through training, reflective supervision, peer mentoring, and continuous digital literacy enhancement.

The transformation of Islamic educational management in the era of artificial intelligence requires a curriculum evaluation framework that is not limited to administrative compliance, final grades, or accreditation-oriented reporting. This article aims to reformulate an Outcome-Based Education evaluation model for the Islamic Religious Education curriculum as a human-centred, ethically governed, and evidence-informed approach to Islamic higher education management. The study employed a sequential explanatory mixed methods design, in which the quantitative phase was directed toward construct development, instrument design, expert validation, factor analysis, reliability estimation, and model implementation analysis, while the qualitative phase deepened the quantitative findings through interviews, observation, document study, and focus group discussion. The most significant finding is the need for an integrated evaluation model that connects graduate profiles, program learning outcomes, course learning outcomes, learning processes, assessment practices, evidence of achievement, stakeholder responses, unintended outcomes, pathways of change, and continuous improvement. The article contributes theoretically by positioning Islamic educational management as a governance practice that must integrate Outcome-Based Education, constructive alignment, responsive evaluation, theory of change, and ethical AI-oriented data use within pesantren-based Islamic higher education

Reading is one method for improving personal abilities through understanding knowledge and information obtained from written texts. This study was conducted to assess the impact of library facilities on students' reading interest at the elementary school level. This study employed a qualitative approach. Data were collected using a literature study method derived from relevant scientific literature using qualitative data analysis methods related to "library facilities" and "reading interest" at the elementary school level. The analysis findings indicate that library facilities significantly influence students' reading interest. With a strategic location and attractive facilities, students can more easily use the library as a learning resource and as a place to develop reading habits. The results of this study reinforce the importance of optimizing school libraries in shaping students' literacy culture, particularly through the availability of services, collections, and access that support early reading habits. Therefore, good management of library services not only helps encourage students' interest in reading but also fosters a positive literacy culture throughout society.

This study aims to responsively evaluate the actualization of soft skill education in relation to students' morality at MI Pare, Semoyang Village. The study is grounded in the need for Islamic elementary schools to ensure that religious habituation, classroom management, and social interaction do not remain formal routines but become meaningful processes for shaping students' moral behavior. A qualitative evaluative approach was employed using Robert E. Stake's responsive evaluation model. Data were collected through school activity observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, documentation of religious habituation, and field notes. The data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, issue coding, a matrix of activities-soft skills-moral behaviors, methodological triangulation, and evaluative conclusion drawing. The findings show that soft skill education is actualized through group discussion, collaborative tasks, classroom duty, the 5S culture, collective prayer, Quran recitation, congregational prayer, teacher modeling, and polite communication. These practices contribute to students' responsibility, discipline, honesty, empathy, social care, and communication ethics. However, several issues remain, including uneven teacher understanding of cross-subject soft skill integration, the influence of digital media on student behavior, and inconsistent family support. The study recommends a practical guide for integrating soft skills, moral reflection after religious activities, stronger teacher role modeling, and collaboration between the madrasah and parents. The article contributes by positioning responsive evaluation as a framework for interpreting soft skill education as a contextual, participatory, and improvement-oriented process of moral formation.
