Abstract

Besides, professional migration is coping with the uncertainty of climate change, as many fishers have begun to seek side jobs and even migrate outside the region or abroad in order to seek higher and more stable incomes. Climate alteration alters fish catches; thus, it affects the economic aspect of fishers. Scientific research refers to the impacts of ocean temperature changes and changes in fish migratory patterns as the reasons that affect the availability of marine resources. This paper discusses the climate change and professional change induced within the community of Jerowaru, East Lombok, because of the socio-economic impacts. The fluctuating migration flow and climatic factors are the main factors that influence the socio-economic livelihoods of fishermen in Jerowaru. Most of them migrate to other areas for survival; there is searching for a better source of employment. This profession also came up as an immigrant worker in response to the always deteriorating financial future. Younger family members and most fishermen are migrating abroad and to the surrounding areas due to greater career opportunities. These non-migrating people hardly can switch over to other gainful employments and, for that purpose migrate to lobster farms for work or to gardens in order to start some other high-return businesses. The current research has been performed within 6 months by incorporating qualitative data as well as the case study approach. Data collection was done through participant observation as well as through in-depth interviews and FGDs with documentation.

Abstract

One issue that comes up in economic development is regional disparity. The province of West Java faces a number of issues, including disparities in community expenditure and issues with economic growth. The GRDP variables and community expenditure per capita can be used to analyze this issue. Finding and analyzing the degree of regional disparity in West Java Province between 2010 and 2020 is the goal of this study. The Williamson Index and Coefficient of Variation are the analytical tools utilized. Calculations using the Williamson Index and Coefficient of Variation on the GDP variable reveal significant inequality in West Java, whereas calculations on the per capita expenditure variable reveal little variation or equality in each region due to the small values of the Williamson Index and Coefficient of Variation. Therefore, government involvement through budget policies is required in the context of West Javan regencies and cities' GDP per capita since it is necessary to promote economic growth in those whose GDP per capita is still low in comparison to other regencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of frugality, environment, and social support on the purchase intention of thrifting clothing in generation Z with price sensitivity moderation within the scope of Theory Planned of Behavior (TPB) as the main reference in this study. This research is a type of quantitative research with the main research instrument in the form of a questionnaire which was distributed online to 120 respondents who are generation Z in West Nusa Tenggara. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling – with Partial Last Square (PLS). The findings of this study show that purchase intention in thrifting clothing can be significantly influenced by frugality and environmental factors. Meanwhile, social support has a non-significant effect on purchase intention. In addition, price sensitivity is proven to strengthen the influence of frugality on purchase intention, while price sensitivity can weaken the influence of environment and social support on the purchase intention of thrifting clothing among Generation Z. This finding provides important insights for further research and can be a reference in policy-making related to environmentally friendly shopping trends, especially thrifting clothing.

Abstract

The Islamic finance industry has demonstrated positive growth trends in Indonesia. However, the level of literacy regarding Islamic investment remains relatively low, especially among Muslim individuals. A limited understanding of Sharia-compliant investment principles and instruments has led to suboptimal financial decisions that may conflict with Islamic values. This study aims to explore the urgency of Islamic investment literacy within the context of personal financial management for Muslims and to identify key challenges and strategies for improvement. Employing a qualitative approach through literature analysis, this article examines the concepts of financial literacy in Islamic perspective, types of Sharia-compliant investment instruments, and factors influencing individuals’ understanding of Islamic investment products. The findings reveal that Islamic investment literacy is not only an economic necessity but also a spiritual obligation grounded in the Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah, especially the principle of safeguarding wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl). The study recommends that stakeholders—governments, financial institutions, and educational bodies—collaborate to develop structured and sustainable strategies for enhancing Islamic financial literacy

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and workload on the job satisfaction of employees of the East Lombok Regency Education and Culture Office. Work satisfaction inoptimality related to work environment conditions and workload variations are problems that need to be investigated further. The solution offered is to identify the most influential factors so that the agency can set improvement priorities. Data analysis was carried out by multiple linear regression method using SPSS 30 software. The results of the study showed that: (1) The work environment had a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, as evidenced by a t-value of 6.630 and a significance of 0.000 (sig < 0.05); (2) Workload has a negative and insignificant effect on employee job satisfaction, with a calculated t-value of -0.182 and a significance of 0.856 (sig > 0.05). A determination coefficient (R²) of 0.531 indicates that the two independent variables together explain 53.1% variation in job satisfaction. This study concludes that the work environment is the main determinant factor of job satisfaction, while the workload that is classified as medium does not necessarily significantly reduce job satisfaction.

Abstract

The increasingly fierce competition in the culinary industry in Mataram City encourages business actors to not only focus on product quality, but also on the overall customer experience. This study aims to analyze the influence of customer experience on customer loyalty in Sate Rembiga Goyang Lidah with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. The approach used is a quantitative research of the causal associative type with a survey method. The sample of 100 respondents, namely customers who have made purchases at least twice and are domiciled in Mataram City, were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS 4.0 application. The results showed that customer experience had a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (channel coefficient = 0.278; p = 0.033) and customer satisfaction (channel coefficient = 0.803; p = 0.000). Customer satisfaction was also shown to have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty (path coefficient = 0.605; p = 0.000). Furthermore, customer satisfaction was proven to mediate the relationship between customer experience and customer loyalty (indirect path coefficient = 0.486; p = 0.000). An R-square value of 0.714 for customer loyalty indicates the model's strong predictive power. This research emphasizes that the strategy of improving customer experience holistically, including sensory, emotional, and social dimensions is the key to forming customer loyalty in local culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

The rapid growth of international tourism in the Gili Islands triggered intense competition among local hospitality sectors, forcing businesses to adapt to diverse cultural backgrounds. However, many hotels still implemented generalized marketing standards that failed to resonate with the specific cultural expectations of global travelers. This study investigated how cultural differences affected international guest satisfaction and operational alignment. The primary objective of this research was to formulate an effective cross-cultural marketing strategy for The Koho Gili Air Hotel using Hofstede’s six cultural dimensions framework. A qualitative descriptive approach was deployed to examine the phenomenon thoroughly. Primary data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with hotel managers, front-line staff, and international and local guests at The Koho Gili Air. The collected operational data and interview transcripts were analyzed using interactive qualitative analysis, mapping the hospitality experiences against cultural metrics. The results indicated that significant cultural gaps existed in service expectations, particularly across the Power Distance and Indulgence versus Restraint dimensions. High power distance guests expected formal and highly respectful greeting procedures, whereas lower power distance guests preferred egalitarian and casual interactions. Furthermore, communication styles varied
