Abstract

The handling of wildlife hazard is an important aspect in ensuring flight safety at the Aerodrome Control Tower Unit of AirNav Indonesia, Denpasar’s Branch. In this context, situational awareness becomes a key factor that influences decision-making and actions of ATCs regarding wildlife hazard. This research aims to analyze the role of ATC's situational awareness in handling wildlife hazard at the mentioned unit. Data collection methods include field observations, interviews, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that wildlife hazard incidents at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport are quite high, but the lack of detection by ATCs poses a problem that can disrupt the smooth flow of air traffic services. This is primarily due to high workload and insufficient situational awareness of the dangers posed by wildlife hazard. Recommended solutions include conducting regular briefings, launching campaigns on wildlife hazard awareness, and enhancing situational awareness among ATCs. The research results are expected to provide insights and recommendations for improving flight safety concerning wildlife hazard at the Aerodrome Control Tower Unit of AirNav Indonesia, Denpasar’s Branch.

Abstract

Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport serves daily training flights and has a training area determined in the "Tanjung Semeti Area" where the location is also the same with the “Tanjung Semeti” checkpoint on the VFR Corridor. The purpose of this research is to review Tanjung Semeti training area to the VFR corridor path and seek solutions from potential safety risks (hazard) in that area. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation. The results of the study revealed that the same location causes VFR flight that passes through VFR corridor overlap with the training flight in the training area causing a potential safety risk for both flights. In an effort to be free from potential flight safety risks, by creating a training area at Tanjung Penggeroh or by optimizing the airspace of Sumbawa as a location for a training area will ensure the safety, efficiency and regularity of air traffic in the airspace of Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport.

Abstract

Air transportation as part of the national transportation system has an interest in building digital and sustainable transformation as part of the dynamics of public services which are directed towards world class services based on aspects of safety, capacity and efficiency, security, economic development and environmental protection. An implementation strategy approach that can be elaborated by capitalizing on software resources (infostructure & operation system transformation - transformation towards fulfilling compliance with ICAO SARPs, international best practices and domestic legislation/regulations), hardware (governance & portfolio transformation - transformation towards a sustainable public governance ecosystem both digitally) and brain ware (human capital transformation - human capital-based transformation) of the organization as well as optimizing the interface of science and technology and the related strategic environment in a directed, orderly and integrated manner through the 4 (four) "C" policy implementation method, namely Cooperation (stakeholder cooperation interests), Consensus (stakeholder agreement and agreement), Compliance (compliance with the implementation of laws, norms and ethics), and Commitment (firmness in carrying out planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating). With the belief that through the right and wise approach, the challenges of global priorities/strategic objectives as well as the dynamics of challenges in building digital and sustainable transformation of Indonesian air transportation can be controlled to realize safe, safe and comfortable Indonesian civil aviation.

Abstract

Avition gasoline (avgas) is one of the fuels used for combustion of piston-type aircraft engines and uses ignition in the form of spark plugs or internal combustion engines. In recent years, the use of avgas fuel itself is very high used in high- wing light aircraft engines, namely Cessna. avgas spray phenomenon that collides with the cylinder wall may occur during fuel injection, so it will produce a changed radius and spray height, which will affect the mixing of fuel and air, later engine performance and exhaust emissions will also be affected. Therefore, it is important to know and study the spray impact phenomenon in avgas-fueled aircraft engines. This research is a spray experiment with a specified pressure and sprayed on the combustion chamber wall so that the results of the image can be studied coupled with data from experimental research, it can make research from computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, providing valuable insights for future research in this field.

Abstract

Several agencies, both government and private, require the security of personal data, especially as this information can only be accessed or transmitted to authorized people or organizations. Likewise with license and regulatory records, these materials are exceedingly confidential. Documents pertaining to permissions and regulations issued by aviation authorities, such as operating permits and aircraft certification, However, the difficulty is that when data is distributed using an internet connection, it can slip into the hands of unscrupulous people. Implementation of the Asymmetric Fountain Code Algorithm to safeguard confidential text data is used to safeguard license and regulatory document data with encryption and description methods using the Fountain Code Algorithm, which has two keys to access plaintext and ciphertext documents using SharpDevelop 5.1 software in the C# language. This research reveals that the outputs of the Fountain Code algorithm can restore plaintext data in its entirety. So it can be inferred that the asymmetric Fountain Code algorithm meets good data integrity and is safe; the complexity of the algorithm is simpler; and the amount of plaintext is exactly related to time.

Abstract

3D printing of fused deposition modeling (FDM) technique is one of the most widely used nowadays. One disadvantage of this method is that the printed product has low strength to the fact that the product is developed layer by layer. This research aims to combine PLA, PP, and ABS and determine which results in the highest flexural strength. A Cartesian 3D printer printed specimens according to the ASTM D790 standard. Then, specimens were tested using a universal testing machine. An optic microscope was used to observe the fracture area. The results showed that the combination of PLA-ABS increased flexural strength up to 33.12 MPa. While PLA-PP, PLA-PP-ABS and PP-ABS resulted in a flexural strength of less than half PLA-ABS one, they were 14.90, 14.59 and 12.10 MPa, respectively. All alloy combinations except PLA-ABS were delaminated during the bending test. Delamination causes a decrease in the flexural strength of a specimen.

Abstract

Drying clothes is a process of daily activities. Drying clothes through the drying process is a traditional method that is still widely used in various regions. However, the process of drying traditional clothes is often a challenge for people or individuals who have limited space and time, especially if the drying is done at home while at the same time not at home. So it takes innovation of smart clothesline devices based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that can help optimize the drying process of clothes. In designing and manufacturing this automatic clothes drying system uses two sensors, namely water sensors and light sensors. Both of these sensors function as weather detectors. If it rains, the water sensor will respond by sending voltage to the circuit and then moving the servo motor to rotate to the right or left so as to make the clothesline enter a closed room. When the clothesline enters, Arduino will give a command to the GSM module SIM800L to give a notification in the form of an sms that the clothesline has been inserted. Similarly, with the light sensor, when the rain has stopped, the light sensor responds to sunlight so that it makes the servo motor move to remove the clothesline.
