Abstract

The Mail Delivery Scheduling Monitoring System at the Medan Mayor's Office BAPPEDA is a study on the implementation of an information technology system to increase efficiency in the letter delivery process at the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) at the Medan Mayor's Office. This research aims to understand how the use of a mail delivery scheduling monitoring system can optimize time management, increase accuracy, and improve transparency in mail handling in government environments. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and direct observation as data collection methods. The research results show that before the implementation of the mail delivery scheduling monitoring system, the mail delivery process at BAPPEDA tended to be unstructured, time consuming, and prone to errors. However, after the adoption of this system, there was a significant improvement in time management and operational efficiency. System users report improvements in mail tracking, on-time delivery, and real-time monitoring of delivery status. However, several challenges were also identified during system implementation, including resistance to change from some staff, lack of adequate training, and the need for routine maintenance of the system. Thus, this research concludes that although the mail delivery scheduling monitoring system has brought many benefits to BAPPEDA of the Medan Mayor's Office, continued efforts are needed to ensure long-term success and full acceptance by all staff.

Abstract

This article discusses designing a study program profile website using the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). Higher education has a need to present relevant and up-to-date information to prospective students, students, lecturers and the general public. A study program profile website can be an effective tool to meet these needs. The design method used in this research involves the needs analysis stage, interface design, selecting an appropriate WordPress theme, developing special features relevant to the study program, and testing functionality. Using the WordPress CMS as a content management platform makes it easy to manage and update content independently without requiring advanced programming skills. The result of this research is a study program profile website that is responsive, attractive, and easy to navigate. The features implemented include information about study programs, curriculum, lecturers, facilities and the latest news. Apart from that, it is equipped with a search feature to make it easier for users to find the specific information they want. Implementing the WordPress CMS as a content management platform provides time and cost efficiency benefits in managing a website. In addition, the flexibility and ease of adding or changing content ensures that the information presented is always up to date and relevant. In conclusion, designing a study program profile website using CMS WordPress is an effective solution for presenting up-to-date and relevant information to stakeholders in the academic environment. This research makes a contribution to the field of information technology, especially in the use of CMS platforms for efficient content management in the context of higher education.

Abstract

The class scheduling information system with the Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm method at SMK Panca Budi 1 Medan is the division of student subject time scheduling. Good class scheduling and meeting all the conditions where teachers teach in two majors is one of the things that ensures the smooth implementation of teaching and learning activities. Using another approach, namely the PSO Algorithm Method, is expected to be useful and able to provide understanding and convenience to users to make class scheduling reports into the class scheduling system at SMK Panca Budi 1 Medan, which produces class scheduling reports in an arranged manner and does not cause clashes between teachers who teach in both departments.

Abstract

The e-Rapor application is a web-based application for processing student learning outcomes. When using the e-Rapor application at SMK Swasta Panca Budi Medan, teachers often encounter several obstacles. So an evaluation stage is needed for the use of the e-Rapor application at SMK Swasta Panca Budi Medan. The method used to evaluate the use of the e-Rapor application is the PIECES Framework. The PIECES Framework method is a method used to evaluate systems consisting of performance , information, economics, control and security, efficiency, and the service to be analyzed. Data was taken from the results of questionnaires for users of the e-Rapor application, namely teachers at SMK Swasta Panca Budi Medan, 39 teachers from various subjects as respondents. The research results show that the level of user satisfaction is SATISFIED in using the e-Rapor application.

Abstract

Villages, as the smallest part of the government administration system in Indonesia, are required to be able to follow technological developments and continue to improve their ability to manage village population administration data. Currently, the village is in the administrative service system. The villagers are still conventional; this affects village devices and villagers, where human error is common, as well as waste of time and costs. So it takes the use of the right technology to overcome this. Cloud computing is a paradigm that allows users to access information electronically using fixed devices or mobile devices connected to the internet network. Cloud computing offers PaaS (Platform as a Service) collaboration, on-demand services,and anytime, anywhere access capabilities. With cloud computing, digital village systems can be built. To be able to use the service, the village government must first subscribe to a cloud service provider.Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the implementation of Kebun Kelapa Village administration provides convenience in processing village population data, reduces village operational costs, and can provide more optimal administrative services to villagers, especially Kebun Kelapa.

Abstract

Employee administration is a system that contains related information consisting of elements that are guided towards the target in order to achieve ideal results. For that, the system gets input containing information about employee needs. Often this staffing administration is done manually as written in a book. The problem makes the author interested in creating an employee administration site that is useful for making it easier to provide information related to employees. This administration system runs on localhost using the PHP programming language and MySQL as a database. With this administration system application, it can facilitate and speed up employees in getting information wherever and whenever just by accessing the employee administration system site.

Abstract

One of the most widely used and freely available RDBMS is MySQL. MySQL users generally do not care about the confidentiality of the contents stored in MySQL. The application of data confidentiality in MySQL generally only uses a username and password to protect MySQL but not its contents. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the confidentiality of the data content in MySQL so that thieves cannot obtain information from the data contained in MySQL by converting the contents of the text stored in MySQL into secret text. This research uses one of the symmetric cryptography, namely vigenere cipher to keep the text stored in MySQL secret. The disadvantage of symmetric cryptography compared to asymmetric is the same encryption and decryption keys. Therefore, this research modifies the key in symmetric cryptography using Diffie Hellman so that the key used becomes asymmetric. So that with symmetric cryptography using Diffie Hellman on the contents of the data stored in MySQL, MySQl gets better confidentiality of its data content

Abstract

This research aims to comprehend the impact of chatbot technology on learning, with a specific focus on analyzing its utilization at SMA Negeri 5 Binjai. Employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches, this study explores the implementation of chatbots in an educational context, including their applications in language learning, mental health support, and the teaching process. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify potential benefits and challenges associated with chatbot implementation in schools. The analysis results highlight the evolution of chatbot roles, ranging from basic functionalities to sophisticated capabilities in supporting the learning process. The research also encompasses a chatbot development model presented by Author and the findings from action research, providing practical insights into the use of chatbots in online learning media. Through surveys, interviews, and observations, research participants were engaged to provide a comprehensive perspective on the impact and acceptance of chatbot technology in the educational environment of SMA Negeri 5 Binjai. The outcomes of this research are anticipated to offer in-depth insights into how chatbots influence the learning process and lay the foundation for developing more effective strategies for chatbot utilization in educational institutions. The conclusions and recommendations from this study may assist policymakers, educators, and researchers in understanding the role of chatbots in enhancing the learning experience at SMA Negeri 5 Binjai and similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an efficient and integrated web-based mail archive management system in the Medan Mayor's Office. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation studies related to the process of managing letter archives at the Medan Mayor's Office. The result of this research is the development of a web-based letter archive management system consisting of modules for receiving letters, indexing, storing and searching letter archives. This system allows users to upload and search letters electronically, as well as manage metadata and mail history easily. Apart from that, this system also provides security features and access rights that can be configured according to user roles. This research can result in increasing the efficiency of mail archive management, reducing errors in mail searches, and increasing information accessibility for users. This research contributes to the development of an efficient and integrated mail archive management system in the government administration environment. It is hoped that this system can provide benefits in improving the performance of mail archive management at the Medan Mayor's Office and become a reference for developing similar systems in other government agencies.

Abstract

This journal discusses the analysis of automation needs for the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) in the Aerodrome Control Tower unit in providing information to improve air traffic services for aerodrome traffic. The research was conducted by analyzing data and information obtained from ATC and air operators. Besides that, it also analyzes problems in the field that hinder the efficiency of the process of providing information from ATC to air operators (pilots). The analytical method used is SWOT analysis by considering internal and external factors to develop an effective strategy. The results of the study show that the existence of automation is significantly needed to increase the time efficiency of ATC in providing flight information. With automation, the provision of information can be carried out quickly and accurately to increase efficiency and safety in air traffic services. Therefore, this journal provides useful insights into improving the quality of ATC services by utilizing automation technology.
