Abstract

Health care nowadays provides holistic concept, which is focus on client’s healing as the overall objectives including bio-psycho-socio-cultural-spiritual. This concept should be understood and applied by health practitioner, including nurses. Therefore, study about holistic nursing should be done, especially in  Indonesian Holistic Tourist Hospital (IHTH) Purwakarta West Java as the first of health provider in Indonesia that used holistic approach. The objective of this research is to describe nurses’ knowledge and skills in holistic nursing care in IHTH. The method of this reseach is decriptive with survey approach. The instrument of the research was using questionnaires with Guttman and Likert’s scale. There were 13 respondents as the samples of the research by using the total sampling. The data were analyzed using univariat to know the level of knowledge and skills to provide holistic nursing care by nurses in IHTH. The result of the research showed that nurses’ knowledge about holistic nursing is divide into three categories: 23,1% high, 69,2% sufficient and 23,1% low. The nurses’ skill to provide holistic environment also divided into three categories: 7,7% well, 76,9% fair dan 15,4% less. The result of observation showed that 13 skill had done by mostly nurses, 12 skill had done by less nurses and 8 skill had done by no nurse. The conclusion of the research showed that the level of nurses’ knowledge and skills in holistic nursing care in IHTH is moderate. Nurses of IHTH should improve their knowledge and skill in holictic nursing care by training or recite about holistic nursing

Abstract

Collaboration in the health care involve nurses and physicians as the crucial determinant of the quality of care process. Moreover, as time goes by, the need of collaboration between nurses and physicians has been growing up professionally. Critical nursing area, esspecially Intensive Care Units (ICU) is one of area has proven to help understanding collaboration between nurses and pyhsicians. The purpose of the research was to explore nurses’ experience in doing the elements to achieve effective collaboration with physicians in Intensive Care Units (ICU) Ambarawa Hospital. This was a qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The data were collected using in depth interview method to 3 samples chosen by purposive sampling method using considerations those sample whose experience as the nurse leader in ICU, whose experience working in ICU since it was built and whose experience working in ICU less than a year. This research showed that the implementation of elements to achieve effective collaboration between nurses and physicians included of cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, communication, autonomy, coordination, mutual respect and determine the common purpose.  The research concluded that effective collaboration was motivated by desirability to achieve common purpose of collaboration for patients’ satisfaction, showed by the right implementation of the cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, communication, autonomy, coordination with mutual respect as the avalist of the success

Abstract

The childrens in 3 up to 6 years old (preschool), hospitalize is stressor which is influance child growth. Fearness about unusual situation, nurse in white, injure prossedure, separation with parent and loose their freedom to play will make them get anxiety. The over anxiety like reject to eat, defficult to sleep and cry more and more will delay curative treatment and make patient get bad experience after hosptalized. Purpose of this research is to know the difference anxiety between pre and post colouring program. This research used one group pre-post test pre experiment quantitative method and researcher got 20 patients in 3 up to 6 years old on RSUD Ungaran as samples. The datas took used check list with observation and interview method. Analyzed result used T-Test Paired was 15,636 from table T = 2,145. The research conclution was the different anxiety preschool patient before and after did colouring program in RSUD Ungaran. This reasearch need take more reasearch with more samples and longer time so that get more valid result

Abstract

Quality of sleep in a condition in whice a sleep generates freshness and fitness in time to wake up. Quality of sleep is includes quantitative aspects of sleep such as sleep duration, sleep latency and subjective aspects, such as deep sleep and rest. This research was descriptive study, on 97 elderly people who live at the Mandiri Social Rehabilitation Center. The quality of sleep was measured by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Study findings shown that  29 respondents (29.9%) had a good sleep quality and 68 respondents (70.1%) had poor sleep quality. The results of this study obtained data that the elderly sleep at the Mandiri Social Rehabilitation Center, it can be concluded that overall sleep quality of elderly poor. These results can be used as an illustration for nurses to be able to utilize the data in this study so they can perform nursing care on elderly related to the needs of rest and sleep, for example, they can examine the causes of poor sleep quality in elderly, daily activities, bedtime ritual they used

Abstract

Infant mortality in Indonesia is still high. That is due to serious disease problems. One way to anticipate serious disease’s attack that is increasing the body's immune baby with breast-feeding infants. Obstruction of breastmilk production in primiparous mother become one of problem in Tugurejo Hospital. The purpose of this study to assess knowledge of primiparous mothers about factors that may affect milk production. Type of this research was quantitative research, which was a descriptive survey. The method used of this research was cross sectional. Population of this research is all of primiparous mother in Room Bougenville Tugurejo Hospital Semarang. The research used total sampling with 60 respondents. The result of this study showed that knowledge of primiparous mothers was good and enough, but there were primiparous mother that had less and not good knowledge in factor nutrition, rest and sleep, oxytocin message, used of contraceptive, and breastfeeding technique. That’s why, primiparous mother need to increase more information about the way can product breastmilk
